Suokou (Locking Mouth) Xian Du (Fierce Toxin) resides in the Spleen Meridian, appearing singly or in pairs around the lips. External treatment involves needle pricking and applying Yanzhi Ointment; internal administration of Xiehuang San brings peace.
[Note] A single pock at one corner of the mouth, larger than others, hard and without a base, is called "Single Suokou". One pock at each corner of the mouth is called "Double Suokou". Additionally, those encircling the upper, lower, left, and right sides of the mouth in a continuous chain are also named Suokou. This toxin obstructs the Spleen. Upon initial eruption, urgently prick it open with a silver needle, apply Yanzhi Ointment externally, and administer Xiehuang San internally to transform the pocks into ruddy and vibrant ones, thereby offering hope for survival.
Yanzhi Ointment (Formula see Meng Zheng Zhi)
Xiehuang San (Spleen-Draining Powder)
Ingredients: Rhinoceros Horn (Xi Jiao), Coptis Rhizome (Huang Lian), Rehmannia Root (Sheng Di), Green Citrus Peel (Qing Pi), Akebia Stem (Mu Tong), Gypsum Fibrosum (Shi Gao), Moutan Bark (Dan Pi), Schizonepeta Spike (Jing Jie Sui), Burdock Fruit (Niu Bang Zi, stir-fried and ground), Rhubarb (Da Huang), Safflower (Hong Hua), Viola Yedoensis (Zi Hua Di Ding).
Add Juncus Effusus (Deng Xin Cao) as a guide drug, decoct in water and take orally.
[Formula Verse] Xiehuang San for Suokou is most effective, containing Xi Jiao, Huang Lian, Sheng Di, Qing Pi, Mu Tong; Shi Gao, Dan Pi, Jing Jie, Niu Bang Zi; Da Huang, Hong Hua combined with Di Ding.
Suochun (Locking Lips) Pocks gather inside the lips, swelling, cracking, drying yellow, hard and solid. Combine Xiehuang San with Zhuwei Gao, and do not delay applying Yanzhi Ointment.
[Note] Pocks gathering inside the lips are named Suochun. Mild cases present with scorching cracks, swelling, and pain; severe cases present with board-like hardness, dryness, and yellowing. This is due to Toxic Fire erupting from the Spleen Organ. Urgently administer Xiehuang San combined with Zhuwei Gao, and use Yanzhi Ointment externally. If black color appears, blood coagulates and toxin is imprisoned, ultimately incurable.
Xiehuang San (Formula see Suokou Zheng Zhi)
Zhuwei Gao (Pig Tail Paste)

Tuosai (Supporting Cheeks) Pocks on the cheeks gather in clusters, Qi is obstructed by toxin, making eruption difficult. Urgently use Huanglian Jiedu Tang for treatment; if hard and purple-dark, Guizong Tang should be used first.
[Note] When the face has sparse pocks but those on both cheeks gather into patches, it is named Tuosai. This occurs when Righteous Qi is obstructed by toxin, making eruption difficult. At the initial stage when spots appear and toxic momentum has not yet formed, resolve it with Huanglian Jiedu Tang. If hard and purple-dark, attack it with Guizong Tang.
