Blood Dryness is due to Heat in Blood, often manifesting as Epistaxis (Nosebleed) with bleeding, Heart Restlessness (Xin Fan) and Insomnia (Bu Mei), inability to rest peacefully, Palpitations (Zheng Chong) and other symptoms. Lu Zu Ze: For example, if both feet are numb and unable to walk on the ground, and both hands cannot grasp objects, the method should use one fire bamboo tube, removing the nodes in the middle, using round wood to tread Yi Ren (Coix Seed)... must... thus unable to extend and flex as desired, must make it move before applying medication. The movement of both hands requires two people to reverse the patient's hands behind their back, beating them with a wooden mallet until both arms feel sore and numb, then administering decoction medicine to take.
