此眼初患之时。胞睑赤胀。肿硬难开。泪出疼痛。还从一眼先患。后乃相牵俱损，渐生翳膜。昏暗。皆是膈中积肝
脏风毒。上冲入眼。宜令镰洗去瘀血。后服泻肝散。 肿膏。宜谨诸事。

睑中红肿睛酸疼 肝膈风来热生冲 腮肿涂膏兼服药 轻轻镰洗断其踪
无令发歇生浮翳 此后寻医枉费工 省谨若能三五日 人间诸事却通容
泻肝散
大黄 知母 芒硝 车前子 茺蔚子 黄芩 天冬（各一两） 黑参（一两半）
上为末，以水一盏。散一钱。煎至五分。食后去渣温服。
肿膏
代赭石 黄蜡（各半两） 细磁末 麻油（一两） 腻粉（少许） 黄柏（一两）
上为末。于铫子内入油蜡同煎为膏。涂睑上。
此眼初患之时。微有头痛目眩。眼系常急。夜卧涩痛。泪出难开。时时如针刺外障相似。是心脏伏毒。热气壅在膈
中。以后渐生障翳。遮满相牵。如此疾状。宜服泻心汤。后服补肝散。兼镰洗出血。火针太阳穴立效。
诗曰∶
忽然睛内痛如针 热毒潜藏伏在心 逐使双眸兼系急 日 急则痛侵侵
太阳阳白将针刺 汤饮宣通宜洗淋 隐涩难开由睑内 铍镰出血即能禁
泻心汤
大黄 黄芩 桔梗 知母（各一两） 马兜铃 黑参（各一两半） 防风（二两）
上为末，以水一盏，散一钱。煎至五分，食后去渣温服。
补肝散
人参 茯苓 五味子 芎 本（各一两） 茺蔚子 细辛（各一两半）
上为末。每日空心米汤调下一钱。
【六十·睑硬睛痛外障】
当眼睛刚刚患病时，眼睑红肿胀大，肿胀坚硬难以睁开，流泪且疼痛。通常先从一只眼睛开始发病，随后牵连另一只眼睛共同受损，逐渐生成翳膜，导致视力昏暗。这都是因为膈间积聚了肝脏的风毒，向上冲入眼中所致。应当使用镰刀清洗以去除瘀血，之后服用泻肝散和肿膏。治疗期间应谨慎注意各种事项。
诗曰：
眼睑红肿眼球酸疼，肝膈风邪来袭热气上冲。腮部肿胀涂抹药膏并内服药物，轻轻用镰刀清洗以断绝病根。
不要让病情发作产生浮翳，此后即使寻医也是白费功夫。若能谨慎护理三五天，世间琐事便可从容应对。
泻肝散
大黄、知母、芒硝、车前子、茺蔚子、黄芩、天冬（各一两），黑参（一两半）。
将上述药材研为细末，取水一盏，放入药散一钱，煎煮至五分量，饭后去渣温服。
肿膏
代赭石、黄蜡（各半两），细磁末、麻油（一两），腻粉（少许），黄柏（一两）。
将上述药材研为细末，在铫子中加入油和蜡同煎成膏状，涂抹于眼睑上。
【六十一·眼痛如针刺外障】
当这种眼病初发时，轻微头痛目眩，眼系经常拘急，夜间睡眠时涩痛，流泪且难以睁眼，时常感觉像有外障刺痛一样。这是心脏潜伏的毒气，热气壅塞在膈中，随后逐渐生成障翳，遮蔽满眼并相互牵引。面对这样的病症，应当先服用泻心汤，再服用补肝散，同时配合镰刀放血疗法，并在太阳穴进行火针治疗，可立即见效。
诗曰：
忽然眼球内部疼痛如针刺，热毒潜藏伏于心经。致使双眼及眼系拘急，日急之时疼痛加剧。
对太阳穴、阳白穴进行针刺，宜饮用宣通之汤剂并配合洗淋。隐涩难开源于眼睑内部，用铍镰放血即可制止。
泻心汤

[Chapter 60: Hard Eyelids and Eye Pain with External Obstruction]
When the eye disease first occurs, the eyelids are red, swollen, and distended; they are swollen and hard to open, accompanied by tearing and pain. It usually starts in one eye and then spreads to affect both eyes, gradually forming nebulae (opacities on the cornea or lens), leading to dim vision. This is caused by the accumulation of wind-toxin in the liver within the diaphragm area, rushing upward into the eyes. One should use a lancet to wash away the blood stasis, followed by taking Xiegan San (Drain Liver Powder) and applying Zhong Gao (Swelling Ointment). Precautions should be strictly observed during treatment.
Poem says:
Eyelids red and swollen, eyeballs sore and painful,
Wind from liver and diaphragm brings heat rushing up.
Cheek swelling treated with ointment and internal medicine,
Gently washed with a lancet to cut off its trace.
Do not let it flare up and generate floating nebulae,
Seeking a doctor later would be a waste of effort.
If careful precautions are taken for three to five days,
One can handle worldly matters with ease.
Xiegan San (Drain Liver Powder)
Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma), Zhi Mu (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma), Mangxiao (Natrii Sulfas), Cheqianzi (Plantaginis Semen), Chongweizi (Leonuri Fructus), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), Tiandong (Asparagi Radix) (each 1 liang), Heishen (Polygonati Odorati Rhizoma) (1.5 liang).
Grind the above ingredients into powder. Take 1 qian of the powder with 1 cup of water, decoct until 0.5 cup remains. Strain and take warm after meals.
Zhong Gao (Swelling Ointment)
Daizheshi (Haematitum), Huangla (Cera Flava) (each 0.5 liang), Cima Mo (Magnetitum Pulveratum), Mayou (Sesami Oleum) (1 liang), Nifen (Calomelas) (a small amount), Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex) (1 liang).
Grind the above ingredients into powder. Add oil and wax in a crucible and boil together to form an ointment. Apply to the eyelids.
[Chapter 61: Eye Pain Like Needle Pricking with External Obstruction]
When this eye disease first occurs, there is mild headache and dizziness, the eye tendons are often tense, there is astringent pain at night, tearing makes it difficult to open the eyes, and it feels as if there is external obstruction causing needle-like pricking sensations. This is due to latent toxin in the heart, with hot qi stagnating in the diaphragm area. Gradually, obstructions and nebulae form, covering the eye and causing traction. For such symptoms, one should first take Xiexin Tang (Drain Heart Decoction), then Bogan San (Tonify Liver Powder), along with bloodletting using a lancet. Fire needle therapy at Taiyang (Ex-HN5) acupoint yields immediate effect.
Poem says:
Suddenly pain in the eye like a needle prick,
Heat toxin hides and lingers in the heart.
Causing both eyes and tendons to become tense,
Urgency leads to invasive pain.
Puncture Taiyang (Ex-HN5) and Yangbai (GB14) acupoints,
Drink decoctions to promote circulation and irrigate/wash.
Astringency and difficulty opening stem from inside the eyelids,
Bloodletting with a blade can stop it immediately.
Xiexin Tang (Drain Heart Decoction)
Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix), Zhi Mu (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma) (each 1 liang), Madouling (Aristolochiae Fructus), Heishen (Polygonati Odorati Rhizoma) (each 1.5 liang), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix) (2 liang).
Grind the above ingredients into powder. Take 1 qian of the powder with 1 cup of water, decoct until 0.5 cup remains. Strain and take warm after meals.
Bogan San (Tonify Liver Powder)
Renshen (Ginseng Radix), Fuling (Poria), Wuweizi (Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus), Xiongqiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Bencao (Ligustici Sinensis Rhizoma) (each 1 liang), Chongweizi (Leonuri Fructus), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma) (each 1.5 liang).
Grind the above ingredients into powder. Take 1 qian daily on an empty stomach, mixed with rice soup.
