婴儿阴囊肿大，坠下不收，宜用紫苏叶为末，敷患处。湿则干掺，干则香油调涂，虽皮溃而核欲坠者，亦愈。
婴儿大小便不通，腹胀欲绝者，急令人温汤漱口，吸咂儿之前后心、脐心、两足心共七处。每处吸咂五、
七口，取红色气透为度。气透则便自通，不尔则死。
婴儿初生六、七日，不饮乳，不小便，用葱白一寸，分作四片，乳汁半钟，同煎，片时取乳分四次服，即通。
婴儿初生发疝，只见啼哭，不见病形，延至一周两岁，始知是疝，诸医不效。宜用麻沥树上鸳鸯果一对（其果连树
枝取下可辨真假，一对果可治三人）、荔枝核七枚（杵碎，煨）、平地木三钱，水煎服，即瘥，亦不复发。
婴儿初生，其卵甚大，日久长成，恐变木疝。俟过满一月后，端午日午时，以脚盆盛热水，安于中堂，随
抱小儿将卵放水内一浸，再将小儿抱到中门槛上中间轻轻一搁，令卵上之水印痕于槛，将艾叶一团安在槛上湿
痕处，灸三壮，其卵遂渐收小如常，用之神效。
婴儿肠胃湿热下注，则肛门暴肿，宜用田螺数个，捣烂涂之，即消。
婴儿头缝不合，状如开解，名曰解颅，此肾气不成也。盖肾主骨髓，而脑为髓海，肾气不成，则脑髓不足，
故不合也。宜内服六味地黄丸（方见后脚软条中），外贴三神散。
三神散
干姜（七钱五分，炮） 细辛 桂心（各五钱）
上为末，姜汁调敷囟上，以头巾裹护之小儿（面赤即合）。
婴儿阴囊肿大，下垂不能回缩，宜用紫苏叶研成粉末，敷于患处。若患处潮湿则干撒药粉，若干燥则用香油调匀后涂抹，即使皮肤溃烂、睾丸有下坠感者，也能治愈。
婴儿大小便不通，腹部胀满欲绝者，急令他人用温水漱口，对婴儿的前心、后背、肚脐中心、两足心共七处进行吸吮（拔罐式吸咂）。每处吸吮五至七口，以局部出现红色充血为度。气血通畅则二便自然通利，否则会有生命危险。
婴儿出生六七天，不喝乳汁，也不小便，取葱白一寸长，分成四片，加入半钟乳汁，一同煎煮，片刻后取汁分四次服用，即可通畅。
婴儿初生患疝气，只见啼哭，不见明显病形，拖延到一至两岁，才确诊为疝气，其他医生治疗无效。宜用麻沥树上的鸳鸯果一对（果实连着树枝取下可辨别真假，一对果实可治三人）、荔枝核七枚（捣碎，煨制）、平地木三钱，水煎服，即可痊愈，且不再复发。
婴儿初生时睾丸很大，日久长大，恐怕变成“木疝”（坚硬如木的疝气）。等到满月之后，在端午节中午，用脚盆盛热水，放在厅堂中间，抱着小儿将睾丸放入水中浸泡，再将小儿抱到中门槛上，轻轻搁置，使睾丸上的水印留在门槛上，将一团艾叶放在门槛上的湿痕处，艾灸三壮，睾丸便会逐渐收缩恢复正常，使用此法神效。
婴儿肠胃湿热下注，导致肛门突然肿胀，宜用数个田螺，捣烂后涂敷患处，肿胀即消。
婴儿头骨缝不合，形状像裂开一样，名叫解颅，这是肾气不足所致。因为肾主骨髓，而脑为髓海，肾气不足，则脑髓亏虚，所以头骨缝不能闭合。宜内服六味地黄丸（方剂见后文脚软条中），外贴三神散。

以上药物研成粉末，用姜汁调匀敷于囟门之上，用头巾包裹保护头部（若小儿面色发红即应停止）。
Infants with scrotal swelling and descent that does not retract should be treated by applying powdered Perilla Leaf (Zisuye, 紫苏叶) to the affected area. If the area is damp, sprinkle the dry powder; if dry, mix with sesame oil for application. Even if the skin is ulcerated and the testicle feels like it is falling, it will heal.
For infants suffering from urinary and fecal retention with severe abdominal distension, urgently have someone rinse their mouth with warm water and perform suction cupping (xi zā, 吸咂) on seven points: the anterior chest, posterior back, umbilicus, and both soles of the feet. Suck each point five to seven times until redness appears, indicating qi penetration. Once qi penetrates, urination and defecation will resume naturally; otherwise, death may ensue.
For newborns aged six or seven days who refuse milk and do not urinate, take one cun of green onion white (Congbai, 葱白), divide it into four slices, and decoct it with half a zhong of breast milk. After a short time, administer the liquid in four divided doses to restore patency.
Newborns presenting with hernia symptoms characterized only by crying without visible deformity, which persists until one or two years of age and resists other treatments, should be treated with a pair of Mandarin Duck Fruits (Yuanyang Guo, 鸳鸯果) from the Ma Li tree (taken with branches to verify authenticity; one pair treats three persons), seven Lychee Seeds (Lizhi He, 荔枝核) (crushed and roasted), and three qian of Pingdi Mu (Pingdimu, 平地木). Decoct in water and administer orally for cure and prevention of recurrence.
If an infant’s testes are excessively large at birth and grow larger over time, risking transformation into a "Wood Hernia" (Mu Han, 木疝 - hard as wood), wait until after one month of age. On the noon of the Dragon Boat Festival, fill a foot basin with hot water and place it in the center of the hall. Immerse the infant's scrotum in the water, then place the infant on the middle threshold so that the wet mark from the scrotum remains on the threshold. Place a ball of mugwort (Ai Ye, 艾叶) on the wet mark and moxibustion with three cones (zhuang, 壮). The testes will gradually shrink to normal size; this method is highly effective.
Damp-heat pouring downward from the infant's intestines and stomach can cause sudden anal swelling. Apply crushed fresh river snails (Tianluo, 田螺) to the area to reduce swelling.
Infants whose cranial sutures fail to close, appearing open, are diagnosed with Jie Lu (Jie Lu, 解颅 - Open Skull). This is due to insufficient Kidney Qi. Since the Kidneys govern bone marrow and the brain is the sea of marrow, deficient Kidney Qi leads to insufficient brain marrow, preventing suture closure. Internally administer Liuwei Dihuang Wan (Six-Ingredient Pill with Rehmannia) (formula see section on weak legs below); externally apply Sanshen San (Three-God Powder).

Prepared Ginger Root (Ganjiang, 干姜) (7 qian 5 fen, processed)
Asarum (Xixin, 细辛)
Cinnamon Twig Heart (Guixin, 桂心)
(each 5 qian)
Grind all into powder, mix with ginger juice, and apply to the fontanelle. Wrap the head with a cloth (stop if the infant's face becomes red).
