Swelling and pain of the yin orifice (external genitalia) arise from deficiency of righteous qi, allowing wind pathogen to invade and remain. The pathogen attacks the yin region, clashing with qi and blood, causing stagnation and obstruction of qi and blood. The couli (skin pores and interstices) become congested and closed, preventing the venting and discharge of pathological factors, resulting in swelling.
Main Formula: Shichangpu (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) (each 1 liang), Wuzhuyu (Evodiae Fructus, stir-fried), Qinjiao (Gentianae Macrophyllae Radix) (each 5 qian).
Crush the herbs. For each dose of 5 qian, add 5 cun of scallion white (Congbai), decoct in water, and take on an empty stomach. Additionally, use Zhike (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, crushed and stir-fried) wrapped around the herbal residue to apply hot compresses to the swollen area; reheat when cool.
Wash Prescription: Aiye (Artemisiae Argyi Folium), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Daji (Euphorbiae Pekinensis Radix) decocted for washing. Alternatively, add Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba), Chuangzi (Cnidii Fructus), Wumei (Mume Fructus), remove Daji, and decoct for washing.
Another method: Ganju miao (Chrysanthemi Indici Herba) or Mabiancao (Verbenae Officinalis Herba) decocted for washing. Or decoct Xiaomai (Tritici Semen), Wubeizi (Galla Chinensis), and Congbai, dissolve Baifan (Alumen) and Xiaokun (Natrii Sulfas) into the liquid for washing. Or use Baifan (Alumen, 5 qian), Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, 1 qian), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, 0.5 qian), grind into powder, wrap thinly in cotton cloth, insert into the vagina, and change three times daily.
The initial cause is damp-heat generating parasites that erode the interior of the yin, causing persistent pain and itching. This may result from widows or unmarried women harboring unceasing desires, where damp-fire excessively consumes body fluids over time. It may also result from excessive sexual intercourse, where toxic fire accumulates to form abscesses, leading to ulceration and harm. In such cases, the wash prescription for Yinting (uterine prolapse) may also be used.
Main Formula: Huangqi (Astragali Radix), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma) (each 1 liang), Chishao (Paeoniae Radix Rubra), Xuanshen (Scrophulariae Radix), Danshen (Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix), Shanzhuyu (Corni Fructus), Chuangzi (Cnidii Fructus) (each 5 qian).
Grind into powder. Take 2 qian per dose, administered with wine on an empty stomach.
Wash Prescription (for unbearable itching): Huajiao (Zanthoxylli Pericarpium), Wuzhuyu (Evodiae Fructus) (each 1 liang), Chuangzi (Cnidii Fructus), Lilu (Veratri Nigrum Rhizoma), Chenchaye (Old Tea Leaves) (one pinch). Decoct in water, add Weiyan (roasted salt, 2 liang), Mingfan (Alumen), and Puxiao (Natrii Sulfas). Fumigation and washing are particularly effective. Subsequently, use Xingren (Pruni Semen, stir-fried and ground) mixed with Xionghuang (Realgar), Baifan (Alumen), and a small amount of Shexiang (Moschus). Wrap in thin silk, heat gently, and insert into the yin.
Parasites in the yin: Use cooked beef liver or pork liver (sliced, 3 cun long), roast until hot, and insert into the yin to attract and expel the parasites completely.
Another method: Mix liver with Pingwei San (Regulate the Middle Powder) and Guanzhong (Cyathulae Radix) powder, and insert. Or crush Tao ye (Peach leaves), wrap in cotton, and insert, changing five times a day.
Bleeding from the yin: Baicaoshuang (Fuliginis Mass) (ground) and Hulu (Lagenariae Spongosperma) juice mixed and inserted. Or use Fa hui (Hair ash) and Qingbu hui (Blue cloth ash) mixed for application.
Yin sores (caused by damp-heat): Shetui (Ophiopogonis Serpentis Exuvies, one strip, roasted), Kufan (Calcined Alumen), Huangdan (Minii Oxidum), Jixu (Polygoni Avicularis Herba), Bencao (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma) (each 1 liang), Liuhuang (Sulfur), Jingjie (Schizonepetae Spica), Chuangzi (Cnidii Fructus) (each 5 qian). Grind into powder, mix with sesame oil for external application. If the area is moist, sprinkle dry powder. First, fumigate and wash with Jingjie (Schizonepetae Spica) and Chuangzi (Cnidii Fructus) decoction, then apply the medication.
