(Shao Yong's *Huangji Jingshi* [Supreme Principles Goverding the World].)
One *fen* [unit of time] comprises twelve *miao* [seconds].
One *shi* [two-hour period] comprises thirty *fen*, totaling three hundred and sixty *miao*.
One day comprises twelve *shi*, totaling three hundred and sixty *fen*, and four thousand three hundred and twenty *miao*.
One month comprises thirty days, totaling three hundred and sixty *chen* [time periods] (i.e., thirty sets of twelve Earthly Branches), eighteen hundred *fen*, and one hundred twenty-nine thousand six hundred *miao*.
One year comprises twelve months, totaling three hundred and sixty days (i.e., twelve sets of thirty days), four thousand three hundred and twenty *chen*, and one hundred twenty-nine thousand six hundred *fen*.
One *shi* [generation/30 years] comprises thirty years, totaling three hundred and sixty months (i.e., thirty sets of twelve months), four thousand three hundred and twenty days, and one hundred twenty-nine thousand six hundred *chen*.
One *yun* [cycle/120 years] comprises twelve *shi*, totaling three hundred and sixty years (i.e., twelve sets of thirty years), four thousand three hundred and twenty months, and one hundred twenty-nine thousand six hundred *bai* [hundreds of months? Note: Text says 百, likely a typo for 分 or just a unit count, literal translation used].
One *hui* [era/3600 years] comprises thirty *yun*, totaling three hundred and sixty *shi* (i.e., thirty sets of twelve generations), eighteen hundred years, and one hundred twenty-nine thousand six hundred months.
One *yuan* [great cycle/43200 years] comprises twelve *hui*, totaling three hundred and sixty *yun* (i.e., twelve sets of thirty eras), four thousand three hundred and twenty *shi*, and one hundred twenty-nine thousand six hundred years.
The above concerns the celestial division of the Nine Provinces and Twelve Palaces. The *Huangdi Neijing* [Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon] only mentions the numerical values of the Nine Palaces, without detailed records of the Nine Provinces. Examining the systems since the Yin and Zhou dynasties, Yangzhou is assigned to the Chou position, Qingzhou to the Zi position, and Xuzhou to the Xu position, as shown in the previous diagram; I do not understand the rationale behind this. Furthermore, while celestial stars surround the Six Directions, attempting to map all of China exclusively to them, what is the theoretical basis? Upon examining various schools of Qimen Dunjia [Mystical Door Hidden Formation], they align with the *Yu Gong* [Tribute of Yu], yet possess this Nine Palaces division which differs from the aforementioned Twelve Palaces. Why is this so? There must be an error within, either here or there. I have included the diagrams here for verification and correction.

Song of Ten Heavenly Stems Starting from Zi
In years of Jia and Ji, start with Jia;
In years of Yi and Geng, Bing begins first;
In years of Bing and Xin, start with Wu;
In years of Ding and Ren, Geng occupies Zi;
Where does it begin in years of Wu and Gui? Ren at Zi is the direct path.
Method for determining the establishment of Yin in the first month: Advance two positions from "Zi". For example, from Jia Zi advancing two positions leads to Yin, resulting in Bing Yin month. Apply this logic to the rest.
