尤氏曰∶凡喉痹属痰，喉风属火，总因火郁而兼热毒，致生乳蛾等症。治法，去风豁痰，解热开郁，其
症自痊。若喉症初起，寒战发后，身凉，口不破碎，又无重舌，二便俱利，不可误认热症，皆由阴气虚寒而发，
其痰即精神所化，不宜去尽，先以药吹
之，使咽喉通。即便服药，首剂发散和解，第二宜温补，若三四日后，再发寒战，或心痛，骨胁肋痛，半
属难治。发时牙关紧急，喉舌俱痛肿，口碎而臭，或有重舌，或舌上起黄屑，发后，下午再发寒热，二便闭者，
即是热症，用石膏排毒散治之。如起三四日后而寒热者，其症虽凶无害，惟症未减，牙关反不紧急，不肿
胀，如无病患，不治。或舌肿满，口如胡桃，如茄子，并不治。如以箸按舌，则起白色，去箸则生红紫，
此其身内之血已死。又或口有臭气，口渴气急，而多稠痰如桃胶者，一颈俱红肿者，红带紫而青带白，神气短
少者，不语者，面色少神，爱坐低处者，喉症无痰者，伤寒患连珠蛾及喉痹者，小儿口疳臭烂而黑者，舌下紫
筋，下通于肾，色白而肿者，皆不治。
〔痰热〕清上丸 熊胆 雄黄 薄荷 青盐 硼砂 胆矾 蜜丸，压舌下化之。
〔滋阴〕养金汤 见二卷失音。
〔肺胃〕牛蒡汤 升麻 牛蒡 黄药子 元参 紫背浮萍 花粉 桔梗 甘草
〔吹喉〕通隘散 硼砂（二分） 儿茶 青黛 滑石 寒水石（各一分） 连 柏 蒲黄 枯矾（各半分）
冰片（二厘） 研吹。
〔阳毒〕桔梗汤 桔梗 甘草（各三钱）
〔阴毒〕半夏甘桔汤 夏 桔 草
〔下火〕大小承气汤 俱见一卷温。
〔喉闭〕喉痹散 荆 蒡 桔 贝 草 元参 薄荷 僵蚕 前胡 花粉 款冬 灯心 散亦作饮。
〔补虚〕加减八味丸 八味丸见一卷中风，此加五味，减附子。
〔喉痹〕芩连消毒饮 即普济消毒饮，见一卷疫。
〔喉痹〕喉痹急方 火硝（五钱） 硼砂（钱半） 薄黄（一钱） 冰片 儿茶（各五分） 珍珠（一分）
为末吹喉，大吐痰涎，数管即愈，并治口疳牙疳牙关紧闭者。
〔通治〕十宝丹 梅矾 薄荷 儿茶（各一两） 甘草（五钱） 乳石（三钱） 血竭 珍珠 琥珀（各二钱）
冰片（三分）
梅矾∶取大青梅切下圆盖，去核，将矾研细入梅，覆用圆盖，以竹钉钉好，炭火 之，去梅取矾，轻白
如腻粉，味极平酸，收贮听用。此方凡喉口症皆可效。
〔喉闭〕金锁匙 火硝（钱半） 硼砂（五钱） 僵蚕（一钱） 冰片（一分） 雄黄（二钱） 研吹，再刺
少商穴。
〔吹药〕碧丹 炼矾 牙硝（各三分） 百草霜 硼砂（各五分） 薄荷末（三分） 灯草灰 冰片（各一分）
甘草（二分）
炼矾法∶明矾研细，倾入银罐内，小半罐，入炉，用浮炭火煨烊，以铜箸入扰，无矾块为度，即将研细HT
硝投入矾内，十分之三，次将细研白硼砂投入，亦十分之三，少倾再投生矾末，逐渐投下，候矾烊尽，照前投
硝硼少许，逐渐投完。待矾铺出罐口，高如馒头而止，加炭烧至矾枯干，乃用瓦片覆罐上，一时取起，将牛黄少
许为末，以水五六匙，调滴矾内，将罐仍入火烘干，取罐覆净地上，七日收贮，炼矾须轻松无竖纹者佳，此
即名玉丹，最贵多制，时候愈久愈妙。
灯草灰法∶拣肥白灯草，铺桌上喷湿，将笔应用水湿管，以湿纸塞紧一头，将湿灯草捏入管内，以
竹箸筑实，再以湿纸塞口，入炭火 之，烟尽为度，取出置地上，碗盖之，去管口纸，取灰，黑成团者佳。
时勿令笔套炮碎，碎则不堪用，不可太过，过则灰白无用，不可不及，不及则不成灰而不可用，此丹最轻，
时又难得法，须平日多制待用可也，此即名元丹。
取百草霜∶烧茅柴者佳，须近锅底者，用。若锅心及锅口边者，不用。须刮去面上一层，取中间用之，着
锅者亦无用。
配药法∶即碧丹，每炼矾三分，加百草霜半匙，研细。次入灯草灰一厘，研匀，如瓦灰色，再入甘草末三
匙，薄荷末三分，研。再入冰片半分，研匀。入瓷瓶，塞口，勿令出气。此丹须当时配合，如过五日，即不
堪用。若遇阴雨，一日即无效，如欲出痰，加牙皂末少许，吹之。
喉痈及单乳蛾轻症，单用碧丹，（又名青药。）即效。若遇重症，
须兼黄药（即金丹）。
凡初起，令病者低头开口，溜出痰涎，初起用青药九分，配黄药一分，吹过五管，次用青八黄二，
再次用青七黄三。如症重，青黄药兑半用，至吹五次，痰涎必不壅，然后用青三黄六，若症重甚，用黄八青二，
尤效。
青药消风痰，解热毒，性尚缓，不及黄药消肿除热，开喉痹，出痰涎为效。然初起黄药不可多用，因其
直走入内，与病不入也。
〔吹药〕金丹 即黄药。蒲黄（二分） 硝（九分） 硼砂 冰片 薄荷叶末（各一分）
制硝法∶马牙硝，长白浓大者，温汤蘸过棉纸挹干，仍用纸包好，放灶上明管洞内，自干白如霜。
配药法∶即金丹。每牙硝一钱，蒲黄生用四分研细，次下僵蚕炙末一分，牙皂末一分半，共研极细，
如淡鹅黄色，加冰片一分，研匀。此药可留久，惟冰片临时加用可耳。
金丹能消肿出痰，若遇牙叉HT 舌穿牙疔，专用此治之。如咽喉症，则兼用青药，看症轻重用之，症重者，
再加牛黄。如喉痹及缠喉风。加僵蚕、牙皂，余只用牙硝、硼砂、薄荷、蒲黄、冰片即可。
喉症即重，三日前未成脓，药能消散，五日脓成穿破，必烂成窠，烂处须用口疳药，多龙骨、珍珠。
〔吹喉〕口疳药 薄荷叶（研细，三分） 儿茶末（二分半） 制黄柏末（一厘） 龙骨末（二厘）
白芷末（如肿痛用三四厘，如不肿痛用二厘半） 生甘草末（用五厘） 珍珠末（五厘） 冰片（三厘） 研匀，
瓷瓶封固。凡遇口碎及各种口疳，皆效。
若初起，肿而热甚者，多加薄荷、冰片，取其辛凉发散也。若患不肿，热甚而痛，则以长肉药为主。
〔吹喉〕长肉药 即前口疳药，多用儿茶末，龙骨末，配成紫色，此方专治喉症口碎者。若用此治走马
牙疳、穿牙毒、小儿胎毒口疳，则本方加牛黄，倍珍珠。如黑烂者不治。至痧痘后口疳，非此不除，则去黄柏、
龙骨，加牛黄五厘，倍珍珠末六厘。
〔通治〕喉症煎药主方 牛蒡子（炒研） 前胡 银花 连翘 山栀 甘草 枯芩（炒黑） 元参
桔梗 花粉 薄荷 灯心 泉水煎。
如发寒热加柴胡，头痛加石膏，胸闷加枳壳，郁热而发加赤芍、贝母，口渴加麦冬。
〔癣菌〕蜜调药 薄荷叶末为君，炼矾为臣，灯草灰、川贝母为佐，百草霜、冰片、甘草末为使。
先将炼矾、百草霜研和，入灯草灰，再研，后入薄荷、贝母、冰片研匀，成青灰色，用白蜜调。此方专治喉癣
喉菌。时刻噙咽，内服喉症煎药主方，此方一名青灵膏。
〔连珠蛾〕成吹药 硼砂（一分） 儿茶（二分） 龙骨（五分） 青黛（一分） 本药（三分） 追风（二分）
冰片（三厘） 再加胆矾、麝香。
附追风散方 牛膝 川乌 草乌 冰片 麝香 青黛
以上诸方，皆尤氏秘传方法，名为《尤氏喉科》，世少传本，识者珍之。
〔连珠〕三黄桔梗汤 芩 连 柏 栀 蒡 芍 桔 草 薄荷 元参 水煎。食后服。
〔喉痈〕犀角地黄汤 见一卷温。
〔喉杵〕甘桔射干汤 桔梗（二钱） 射干 山豆根 荆 防 蒡 翘 元参（各一钱二分） 甘草（五分）
加竹叶十四片。
〔喉杵〕烧盐散 取橡斗大者，实盐满壳，烧存性，以碗覆地，入麝香少许，研细点之。
〔结块〕百灵丸 百草霜 蜜丸芡实大，水化服。
〔风热〕启关散 牛蒡子 生甘草 水煎。
〔梅核〕四七汤 陈 苓 夏 朴 槟 苏 青 枳 蔻 曲 砂仁 益智 姜

蜜丸芡实大。每服一丸，噙化不拘时候。专治风痰上壅，头目不清，咽喉肿痛，口舌生疮，服之生津液，化
痰涎。昔宋神宗患喉痹，服此药一丸立愈。
〔牙疳〕犀角丸 犀角 粉草 朴硝（各二钱） 桔梗（一两） 赤茯 生地 连翘 牛蒡子 元参（各五钱）
青黛（一钱） 蜜丸龙眼大，每一丸，薄荷汤下。专治小儿走马牙疳。
〔吹喉〕三仙散 胆矾（六分，半生半炒） 广木香（三分） 熊胆（三分） 共研极细，用番木鳖一个，
磨碎和匀，吹在患处。治喉风口噤，死在须臾，以箸开口，吹入即愈。
〔敷药〕牙疳方 妇人溺桶中白垢（火 一钱） 铜绿（三分） 麝香（一分五厘） 各研，和匀，敷上立愈。
尤氏说：凡是喉痹属于痰证，喉风属于火证，总是因为火邪郁结而兼有热毒，导致产生乳蛾等症状。治疗方法，应当祛风豁痰，解热开郁，病症自然痊愈。如果喉症初起，出现寒战发热后，身体转凉，口腔没有溃烂破碎，也没有重舌（舌下复生一小舌），大小便通畅，不可误认为是热症，这都是由阴气虚寒引起的，其产生的痰即是精神所化生的津液，不宜完全去除干净。先用药物吹入咽喉，使咽喉通畅。然后立即服药，第一剂用发散和解的方法，第二剂宜用温补法。如果三四日后，再次发冷战栗，或者心痛，骨节胁肋疼痛，多半属于难治之症。发作时牙关紧闭，喉部和舌头都疼痛肿胀，口腔溃烂且气味臭秽，或有重舌，或舌上生出黄色碎屑，发作后下午再次发冷发热，大小便闭塞的，就是热症，用石膏排毒散治疗。如果起病三四日后又出现寒热的，病情虽然凶险但无大害，只是症状未减轻，牙关反而不紧闭，也不肿胀，像没有生病的人一样，不予治疗。或者舌头肿胀满口，嘴巴像胡桃、茄子一样肿大，都不予治疗。如果用筷子按压舌头，则泛起白色，移去筷子则变为红紫色，这说明体内的血已经死灭。又或者口中散发臭气，口渴气急，且多生稠痰如桃胶状，整个颈部红肿，红色中带紫色、青色带白色的，神气短少的，不能说话的，面色缺乏神采的，喜欢坐在低处的，喉症没有痰的，伤寒患者患连珠蛾及喉痹的，小儿口疳臭烂发黑的，舌下紫筋下通于肾，颜色白而肿胀的，都属于不治之症。
〔痰热〕清上丸 熊胆 雄黄 薄荷 青盐 硼砂 胆矾 蜜丸，置于舌下含化。

炼矾法∶明矾研细，倒入银罐内，约小半罐，放入炉中，用浮炭火煨熔，用铜筷搅拌，直到没有矾块为止，即将研细的牙硝投入矾内，占十分之三，接着将细研的白硼砂投入，也占十分之三，稍后再投入生矾末，逐渐投下，等到矾完全熔化，照前法投入少许硝和硼砂，逐渐投完。待矾铺出罐口，高如馒头时停止，加炭烧至矾枯干，然后用瓦片覆盖罐口，过一时辰取出，将少许牛黄研末，用水五六匙调滴入矾内，将罐仍放入火中烘干，取出罐子倒扣在洁净地面上，七日后备用。炼矾须轻松无竖纹者为佳，此即名玉丹，最贵重，制作越多越好，存放时间越久越妙。
灯草灰法∶挑选肥白灯草，铺在桌上喷湿，将笔应用的水湿管，用湿纸塞紧一头，将湿灯草捏入管内，用竹筷筑实，再用湿纸塞住口，放入炭火中煅烧，烟尽为止，取出放在地上，用碗盖住，去掉管口纸，取出灰烬，黑成团者为佳。煅烧时不要令笔套炮碎，碎了则不堪使用，不可太过，过了则灰白无用，不可不及，不及则不成灰而不可用，此丹最轻，煅制又难得法，须平日多制备以待使用，此即名元丹。

You stated: Whenever throat obstruction (Hou Bi, sore throat) is attributed to phlegm, and throat wind (Hou Feng, acute laryngeal edema/spasm) is attributed to fire, it is generally due to the constraint of fire combined with heat toxin, leading to conditions such as milk sorbus (Ru E, tonsillar hypertrophy). If after three or four days, chills recur, or there is heart pain, bone and rib pain, it mostly belongs to difficult-to-treat cases. During attacks, if the jaw is tight, the throat and tongue are painful and swollen, the mouth is ulcerated and foul-smelling, or there is a double tongue, or yellow flakes appear on the tongue, and after the attack, chills and fever recur in the afternoon with closed urination and defecation, this is a heat syndrome, treat with Shigao Paidu San (Gypsum Detoxification Powder). If chills and fever appear three or four days after onset, although the condition appears fierce, it is harmless; however, if symptoms do not decrease, the jaw is not tight, and there is no swelling, resembling a healthy person, do not treat. Or if the tongue is swollen filling the mouth, the mouth looks like a walnut or an eggplant, these are untreatable. If pressing the tongue with chopsticks causes whiteness, which turns red-purple upon removal, this indicates that the blood inside the body has died. Or if there is foul breath, thirst, shortness of breath, and thick phlegm like peach gum, whole neck redness and swelling, red mixed with purple, green mixed with white, shortness of spirit, inability to speak, lack of vitality in facial color, preference for sitting in low places, absence of phlegm in throat conditions, patients with Shanghan suffering from linked pearl sorbus and throat obstruction, children with foul and black rotting mouth canker sores, purple veins under the tongue connecting to the Kidney, white and swollen in color, all are untreatable.

Grind to powder and insufflate into throat. Causes massive expectoration of phlegm and saliva, heals in several tubes. Also treats mouth canker, tooth canker, and trismus.
[General Treatment] Shibao Dan (Ten-Treasure Pill): Plum Alum, Mint, Camellia Seed (1 liang each), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (5 qian), Mineral Milkstone (3 qian), Dragon's Blood, Pearl, Amber (2 qian each), Borneolum Syntheticum (3 fen).
Plum Alum: Take a large green plum, cut off the round lid, remove the pit, grind alum finely and insert into the plum, cover with the lid, nail securely with bamboo nails, calcine over charcoal fire, remove plum flesh to obtain alum. It is light white like calamine, tastes very flat and sour, store for use. This formula is effective for all throat and mouth conditions.
[Throat Closure] Jin Suo Chi (Golden Lock Key): Saltpeter (1.5 qian), Borax (5 qian), Bombyx Batryticatus (1 qian), Borneolum Syntheticum (1 fen), Realgar (2 qian). Grind and insufflate, then prick Shaoshang acupoint.
[Insufflation Medicine] Bidan (Green Pill): Calcined Alum, Natrii Sulfas (3 fen each), Bai Cao Shuang (Soot from Hundred Herbs), Borax (5 fen each), Mint Powder (3 fen), Junci Medulla Ash, Borneolum Syntheticum (1 fen each), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (2 fen).
Method of Calcining Alum: Grind Alum finely, pour into a silver jar (about half full), place in furnace, warm-melt using floating charcoal fire, stir with copper chopsticks until no alum lumps remain. Add finely ground Natrii Sulfas, 30% of the total, then add finely ground white Borax, 30%. Shortly after, add raw Alum powder gradually. Wait until alum melts completely, then add small amounts of Natrii Sulfas and Borax as before, gradually finishing. Stop when alum spreads out of the jar rim, high like a steamed bun. Add charcoal and burn until alum is dry and brittle. Cover jar with tile, wait one hour, then remove. Mix a small amount of Bovis Calculus powder with 5-6 spoons of water, drip into alum. Return jar to fire to dry. Place jar upside down on clean ground, store for seven days. Good calcined alum should be light and free of vertical striations. This is named Yudan (Jade Pill), most precious, more production is better, longer storage is more effective.
Method of Making Junci Medulla Ash: Select fat white Junci Medulla, spread on table, spray wet. Wet the tube of a pen application tool, plug one end tightly with wet paper, squeeze wet Junci Medulla into the tube, compact with bamboo chopsticks, plug mouth with wet paper, place in charcoal fire to calcine until smoke ceases. Remove, place on ground, cover with bowl. Remove paper from tube mouth, take ash. Black and clumped ash is good. Do not let the pen cap shatter during calcination; shattered material is unusable. Do not over-calcine; if too much, ash becomes white and useless. Do not under-calcine; if insufficient, it does not become ash and is unusable. This pill is very light, and the method is hard to master; prepare plenty in advance for use. This is named Yuandan (Origin Pill).
Obtaining Bai Cao Shuang: Burning茅chai (thatch wood) is best; use the part near the bottom of the pot. Do not use the center or edges of the pot. Scrape off the top layer, use the middle part. Material sticking to the pot bottom is useless.
Medicine Preparation Method: This is Bidan. For every 3 fen of Calcined Alum, add half a spoon of Bai Cao Shuang, grind fine. Then add 1 li of Junci Medulla Ash, grind evenly until gray like roof tiles. Then add 3 spoons of Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma powder, 3 fen of Mint powder, grind evenly. Then add 0.5 fen of Borneolum Syntheticum, grind evenly. Put in porcelain bottle, seal tightly to prevent gas escape. This pill must be prepared fresh; if left for more than five days, it becomes unusable. If used on rainy days, it is ineffective after one day. To induce vomiting of phlegm, add a little Gleditsiae Sinensis Fructus powder and insufflate.
For mild cases of throat abscess and single tonsillar hypertrophy, using Bidan alone (also named Qingyao/Green Medicine) is effective. For severe cases, must combine with Huangyao (Golden Medicine).
At initial onset, have the patient lower head and open mouth to let phlegm and saliva flow out. Initially use 9 parts Qingyao mixed with 1 part Huangyao, insufflate through five tubes. Next use 8 parts Qingyao and 2 parts Huangyao. Then use 7 parts Qingyao and 3 parts Huangyao. If severe, mix Qingyao and Huangyao equally, insufflate five times until phlegm is not obstructed, then use 3 parts Qingyao and 6 parts Huangyao. If very severe, use 8 parts Huangyao and 2 parts Qingyao, especially effective.
Qingyao dissipates wind-phlegm and resolves heat toxin, but its action is relatively slow compared to Huangyao's efficacy in reducing swelling, clearing heat, opening throat obstruction, and expelling phlegm. However, at initial onset, Huangyao should not be used in large amounts because it enters directly inward and may not interact well with the pathogen.
[Insufflation] Jindan (Golden Pill): Also known as Huangyao. Coryli Amentum (2 fen), Natrii Sulfas (9 fen), Borax, Borneolum Syntheticum, Mint Leaf Powder (1 fen each).
Method of Processing Natrii Sulfas: Use Ma Ya Xiao (Horse Tooth Nitrate), long, white, dense, and large pieces. Wipe dry with cotton paper dipped in warm water, wrap in paper, place in bright vent of stove to dry naturally until white as frost.
Medicine Preparation Method: This is Jindan. For every 1 qian of Natrii Sulfas, use 4 fen of raw Coryli Amentum, grind fine. Then add 1 fen of roasted Bombyx Batryticatus powder, 1.5 fen of Gleditsiae Sinensis Fructus powder, grind extremely fine to pale goose-yellow color. Add 1 fen of Borneolum Syntheticum, grind evenly. This medicine can be stored for a long time; only add Borneolum Syntheticum temporarily when needed.
Jindan reduces swelling and expels phlegm. For dental fissures, tongue piercing, or tooth carbuncles, use this exclusively. For throat conditions, combine with Qingyao according to severity. For severe cases, add Bovis Calculus. For throat obstruction and winding throat wind, add Bombyx Batryticatus and Gleditsiae Sinensis Fructus. For others, only Natrii Sulfas, Borax, Mint, Coryli Amentum, and Borneolum Syntheticum are sufficient.
Even if throat conditions are severe, if pus has not formed within three days, medicine can dissipate it. By the fifth day, if pus forms and breaks, it will rot into cavities. Use mouth canker medicine for rotten areas, using lots of Ossis Femoris and Pearl.
[Insufflation] Mouth Canker Medicine: Mint Leaf (finely ground, 3 fen), Camellia Seed Powder (2.5 fen), Processed Phellodendri Cortex Powder (1 li), Ossis Femoris Powder (2 li), Angelicae Dahuricae Radix Powder (3-4 li if swollen/painful, 2.5 li if not), Raw Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Powder (5 li), Pearl Powder (5 li), Borneolum Syntheticum (3 li). Grind evenly, seal in porcelain bottle. Effective for all mouth ulcers and various mouth cankers.
If initial onset involves swelling and severe heat, add more Mint and Borneolum Syntheticum for their acrid-cool dispersing properties. If not swollen but severe heat and pain, prioritize flesh-generating medicines.
[Insufflation] Flesh-Generating Medicine: Same as previous Mouth Canker Medicine, but use more Camellia Seed Powder and Ossis Femoris Powder to create a purple color. This formula specifically treats throat conditions with mouth ulcers. For treating running horse tooth canker, tooth-piercing toxicity, or infant congenital mouth canker, add Bovis Calculus and double the Pearl Powder to this base formula. Black rot is untreatable. For mouth canker after sand-rash or smallpox, this is essential; remove Phellodendri Cortex and Ossis Femoris, add Bovis Calculus (5 li) and double Pearl Powder (6 li).

Add Bupleuri Radix for chills/fever, Gypsum for headache, Aurantii Fructus for chest stuffiness, Red Paeonia Root and Fritillariae Bulbus for constrained heat, Ophiopogonis Radix for thirst.
[Fungus] Honey-Mixed Medicine: Mint Leaf Powder as Sovereign, Calcined Alum as Minister, Junci Medulla Ash and Fritillariae Cirrhosae Bulbus as Assistants, Bai Cao Shuang, Borneolum Syntheticum, and Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma powder as Envoys.
First grind Calcined Alum and Bai Cao Shuang together, add Junci Medulla Ash and grind again. Then add Mint, Fritillariae Cirrhosae Bulbus, and Borneolum Syntheticum, grind evenly to blue-gray color. Mix with white honey. This formula specifically treats throat lichen and fungus. Hold and swallow frequently internally, while taking the Main Decoction for Throat Conditions orally. Also named Qingling Gao (Green Spirit Paste).
