手大指、次指岐骨间合谷穴,动应于手)。又属手太阴肺经(《灵枢》曰∶手太阴之脉,循鱼际,出大指之端;
(The wrist crease) belongs to the Pericardium Meridian of Hand-Jueyin (The *Ling Shu* states: The vessel of Hand-Jueyin follows between the two tendons of the forearm and enters the center of the palm. When this meridian is disturbed, it causes heat in the palm. It also states: Heat in the palm indicates heat in the abdomen; cold in the palm indicates cold in the abdomen). It also belongs to the Lung Meridian of Hand-Taiyin and the Heart Meridian of Hand-Shaoyin (The *Ling Shu* states: Diseases generated by the Hand-Taiyin meridian include heat and pain in the palm. It further states: The divergent vessel of Hand-Taiyin, at the fleshy part above the wrist, runs parallel with the main channel of Hand-Taiyin and directly enters the palm; it also states: The vessel of Hand-Shaoyin reaches the end of the sharp bone behind the palm and enters the posterior medial aspect of the palm. Diseases generated by this meridian manifest as heat and pain inside the palm).
(The center of the wrist crease) belongs to the Sanjiao Meridian of Hand-Shaoyang (The *Ling Shu* states: The vessel of Hand-Shaoyang follows the back of the wrist and emerges between the two bones of the forearm).
(Between the thenar eminence and the first metacarpal bone, the area of Hegu LI4) belongs to the Large Intestine Meridian of Hand-Yangming (The *Ling Shu* states: The vessel of Hand-Yangming follows the upper margin of the finger, emerges between the two bones of Hegu LI4, and ascends into the space between the two tendons. The *Su Wen* states: The middle region corresponding to Earth pertains to the Hand-Yangming meridian, used to observe the Qi of the chest. Note: The pulse of the Large Intestine is located at Hegu LI4, between the thumb and index finger, where the pulsation is palpable). It also belongs to the Lung Meridian of Hand-Taiyin (The *Ling Shu* states: The vessel of Hand-Taiyin follows the Thenar Eminence and emerges from the tip of the thumb; its branch goes straight from behind the wrist along the medial side of the index finger to its tip).
(Behind the base joint of the thumb, at the raised fleshy area, the location of Yuji LU10) belongs to the Lung Meridian of Hand-Taiyin (The *Ling Shu* states: The vessel of Hand-Taiyin enters the Cun Kou point and ascends to the Yu Ji. It also states: The divergent vessel of Hand-Taiyin scatters into the Yu Ji. It further states: The sinews of Hand-Taiyin ascend along the finger and connect to the area behind the Yu Ji. The *Su Wen* states: Needling the belly of the fish on the hand, if done too deeply, leads to swelling. Note: The Lung meridian's Qi and Blood reside within the fish belly of the hand; therefore, deep needling here causes swelling). It also belongs to the Large Intestine Meridian of Hand-Yangming (The *Ling Shu* states: Abnormal blood color in the collateral vessels of the Yu Ji indicates disease in the Hand-Yangming meridian. It also states: In the lower part of the Hand-Yangming meridian, abundant Qi and Blood result in warm hand muscles; deficient Qi and Blood result in emaciated and cold hands). It is also associated with the Stomach Meridian of Foot-Yangming (The *Ling Shu* states: In general, when diagnosing collateral vessels, a bluish color indicates cold and pain. A red color indicates heat. Cold in the stomach results in many blue collaterals in the Yu Ji area; heat in the stomach results in red collaterals at Yu Ji. Sudden blackness indicates long-standing Bi syndrome. The presence of red, black, and blue colors indicates mixed cold and heat conditions. A short blue appearance indicates deficiency of Qi. Another view states: If there are blue blood vessels on the white flesh above the Yu Ji, it indicates cold in the stomach, and formulas such as Lizhong Tang are appropriate).
