以上药物研为细末，用水泛丸的方法制成药丸，或者用米粥糊制作成丸剂，每次服用三十丸，用温开水送服。
经脉的气血循行规律是左侧上升、右侧下降，本方药物采用苦辛相合以肃降肺气，作用于升发之道路，因此命名为“左金”。吴茱萸入肝经以疏散郁结之气，其降逆作用非常迅速。
青礞石一两（与焰硝一两一同放入瓦罐中，用盐泥密封加固，晒干后煅烧，直到石头颜色变成金色为止，没有金星纹理的不使用）。
以上药物研为极细粉末，用水泛丸的方法制成药丸，每次服用三五十丸，根据患者体质的强弱酌情增减剂量。
礞石性质寒凉且主沉降，属于阴；焰硝性质温热且主上升，属于阳。将二者同用，不仅取焰硝有化石的能力，更利用其与礞石相互作用产生的热力。
云茯苓四两（去皮，放入容器中，加入猪苓四钱半在内，煮沸二十多次后取出晾干，拣去猪苓，晒干即可）。
黄蜡四两（熔化）。
以上药物直接用蜡制成如弹子大小的丸剂，空腹时细细咀嚼，待口中生津液后，慢慢咽下，以小便清澈为停药标准。忌食米醋，尤其忌讳愤怒和劳累。
《抱朴子》记载：茯苓生长千万年，其上会长出小木，形状像莲花，名叫威喜芝。如今使用此名方的，必须选择云茯苓，因为它具有续接断绝、消除痰火的功效。
鳖甲十一分（炙烤），阿胶三分（炙烤），蜣螂六分（熬制），蜂房四分（炙烤），虻虫五分（熬制），鼠妇三分，䗪虫三分，廑虫三分。
以上二十三味药物研为细末，取锻铁炉下的灰一斗，清酒一斛五斗，浸泡炉灰等待酒蒸发掉一半，将鳖甲放入其中，煮至液体泛起泡沫。
鳖甲煎丸，全部使用不同种类的灵动之物，无论是水生陆生，还是飞翔潜伏，上升下降、行走伏藏的生物都备齐了。只是担心各种虫类扰动血液，导致血闭不通。
退热，截断疟疾，攻补兼施。
Evodiae Fructus (remove closed pores, soak in salt water for one full day) 1 liang; Coptidis Rhizoma 6 liang (stir-fry with salt water).
Grind the above ingredients into powder. Form pills using the water-pellet method, or use rice paste to form pills. Take 30 pills per dose, swallowed with warm boiled water.
The meridian circulation follows the pattern of ascending on the left and descending on the right. The herbs utilize bitter and pungent flavors to descend lung qi, acting upon the ascending pathway; hence it is named "Zuo Jin" (Left Metal). Evodiae Fructus enters the Liver channel to disperse stagnant qi, and its downward-draining action is very rapid.
Lapis Flava (Qingmengshi) 1 liang (mix with 1 liang of Natrii Sulfas/Yanxiao, place in a clay pot, seal tightly with salt mud, dry in the sun, and calcine until the stone turns golden; stones without golden stars are not used).
Grind the above ingredients into fine powder. Form pills using the water-pellet method. Take 30-50 pills per dose, adjusting according to the patient's strength.
Qingmengshi is cold in nature and descends, belonging to Yin. Yanxiao is hot in nature and ascends, belonging to Yang. Using them together not only utilizes Yanxiao's ability to dissolve calculi but also leverages the heat generated by their interaction with Qingmengshi.
Poria (Yunfuling) 4 liang (remove skin, place in a container with Polyporus 4 qian 5 fen inside, boil for more than twenty times, dry in the sun, remove Polyporus, and dry completely).
Beeswax 4 liang (melt).
Form pills using beeswax, sized like bullets. Chew thoroughly when fasting on an empty stomach, wait for saliva to fill the mouth, then swallow slowly. Stop when urine becomes clear. Avoid vinegar, especially anger and overexertion.
Baopuzi states: Poria grows for thousands of years; small trees grow on top, resembling lotus flowers, named Weixi Zhi. For this famous prescription, one must select Yunfuling, as it has the function of reconnecting severed meridians and resolving phlegm-fire.
Testudinis Carapax et Plastrum (Biejia) 11 parts (roast); Colla Corii Asini (Ejiao) 3 parts (roast); Scarabaeus (Qiángláng) 6 parts (simmer); Apis Ceranae Fascia (Fengfang) 4 parts (roast); Mantis Ootheca (Tanchuang) 5 parts (simmer); Psocid (Shufu) 3 parts; Peripatus (Wei) 3 parts; Blatta Orientalis (Jinchong) 3 parts.
Grind the above twenty-three ingredients into powder. Take one dou of ash from a forge furnace, mix with one hu five dou of clear wine. Soak the ash until half the wine evaporates. Place Biejia in the mixture and boil until foaming occurs.
Biejia Jian Wan (Biejia Decoction Pill) uses various agile creatures from different realms, whether aquatic or terrestrial, flying or diving, ascending or descending, walking or hiding, all are included. One might fear that these insects disturb the blood, causing blood closure.
Reduce fever, intercept malaria, combining attack and tonification.
