无名肿毒者，不拘于头面、手足，胸腹等处， 赤肿硬，结核疼痛，又名肿疡，又
名虚疡也。但肿无头无面者俱是也。肿势盛者，以棱针刺去恶血，切不可以火针烙之。恶
寒发热，或头疼，或拘急，宜表散之，以荆防败毒散。肿势盛，表里俱实者，追疔夺命
汤。无表里证，肿势盛者，以两面龟散。若暴发赤肿，切不可以针破，只宜以洗肿方淋
洗，以八仙膏、解毒丸等药涂之。若急切，即用金脑香叶、田茶菊，擂酒暖服，以渣敷患
处，以汁刷患处。尾秋骨处结毒，如桃李之大，红赤 痛不能行动，此名病 。用芙蓉
叶捣酒炒缚，烂者以 尾壳火 存性为末，用麻油调搽即愈。大效。紫游虚疡，用鱼苞子
根，煎水入酒和服；又以水荔花叶、赤子叶捣刷。有热者以追疔夺命汤加鸡屎子、鸡距
根。手背脚背肿大，有赤痕如虾之状，名病虾证也。用油炒盐糟令香，以热汤淬之泡汤，
乘热淋洗之即消，要服痱疡药。膝内 近折纹之处，结核肿痛，但核形长如鱼之状，名
上水鱼。以棱针乱刺去恶血，以 枯，雷廷藤、山樟子叶捣糟炒缚之；又用山雷廷藤、赤
牛膝、山苏木、 枯捣盐糟炒缚。又方，雷藤、鳖尿、藤根皮，捣糟炒缚之。又方，鱼
苞子、 枯，捣糟炒缚之。又方，山雷廷根皮、 枯捣糟炒缚，及用七圣膏敷之，却以
九金六马散服之。遍身起如风疹、疥、丹之状，其色白不痛，但搔痒，抓之起白 ，名
日蛇虱。用油秽田肥株、山樟子叶、樟树叶、柏叶煎水，入些醋洗之。又方，只用 叶一
味，煎水洗更速也，要服苦参丸、蜡矾丸、金银皂角丸。脚背或脚趾肿痛不可忍，以脚高
悬起，其疼方止些，若以脚垂下，其疼不可当也，名曰倒拔肿疡。先用两面龟一味煎酒
服，次服两面龟散。如不应，以蛇薯磨酒服大效。耳中疼痛不可当者，名曰脑里虚疡。宜
以金脑香根或叶捣烂，入井水少许，滤去渣，入片脑半分研匀，滴入耳中即效。又用根磨
薄荷汤，入少酒和服。又用金鸡舌、苦参、青木香、金凤尾擂水，入片脑少许和匀滤净，滴
入耳中。又服两面龟散，及以水圹子根煎水入酒和服。紫游风，用紫茶根皮擂水刷。又
方，加红心蜈蚣、小金钱豆瓣草、马蹄草，金莺叶尾擂水，入些醋暖刷之。

不拘二三味，取叶擂米泔水，入醋少许调匀暖刷。又方，单用艮脚一味为末，以生赤樟
柳根，磨米泔调涂更妙。
消肿劫毒散 治一切无名肿毒，虚疡等毒。

上末。用米泔水调温刷。
又方 生樟柳根为末。米泔水调温刷；或以毛屎梯叶，同刷亦妙。
〔丹〕 卒肿起大痛。芫青根大者杵之，和苦酒如泥，煮三沸，帛上包之。（葛氏） 风毒
肿三年，苦酒浓煎葱白，以布包熨肿上。（《外台秘要》） 治一切热毒肿，商陆根和盐少许，

治肿，蒺藜子一升，炒黄杵细，以香油和如泥，再炒令焦，以旧布如肿之大小摊之贴
肿上，勿开头 上。（《外苔秘要》） 治恶刺，及狐狸刺毒肿，取蒲公英草根白汁敷之，多涂
立瘥。予七月十五日夜，左手中指背揩着庭木，痛不可忍，十日后，疮日深渐高，大痛

〔山〕 肿毒或疼痛处，以赤小豆为末。水调敷频换；或用香白芷，水调敷尤妙。又

〔丹〕 治诸处皮里面痛，何首乌末姜汁调膏，以帛裹于痛处，火炙皮鞋底熨之妙。

上用黄蜀葵花子不拘多少研细。滴水令稀稠得所，将绢帕子裹定，旋挹所余汁，扑
肿所四畔数扑之。
犀角饮 治诸风肿。
犀角（一钱，镑） 玄参 连翘 柴胡（去苗，各半两） 升麻 木通（各七钱半） 芒硝（生用
麦门冬（去心，各一两） 沉香 檀香 射干 甘草（炙，各二钱半）
上锉碎。每服五钱匕，水一盏半煎至八分，去滓。食后温服及夜食后各一服，利多
即减。一名犀角汤，无檀香。
熨风散 治诸疮因风致肿。
羌活 防风 白芷 吴茱萸 细辛 当归 芍药 芫花 官桂（各等分）
上为粗末作一剂，赤皮葱连须细切半斤，同酽醋拌匀炒令极热，帛裹于疮上熨之。稍
冷，即换药再熨之上下痛止。
蚕砂熨方 治风肿。
晚蚕砂 盐（各不拘多少）
上相和炒熟，布裹熨之。冷即再炒，各入醋少许尤佳。
水澄膏 治热肿痛大效。
大黄 黄柏 郁金 天南星 白芨 朴硝 黄蜀葵花（各一两）
上为细末。每用新水一盏半，药末二钱，搅调匀，候澄底者去浮水。以纸花子摊于肿
处贴之。如急燥津唾润之，此药除热毒亦肿神效。如皮肤白色者，勿用之。
无名肿毒，不局限于头面、手足、胸腹等部位，表现为局部红肿坚硬，形成结核状肿块并伴有疼痛，又称为“肿疡”或“虚疡”。凡是肿胀没有明显脓头和边界清晰的都属于此类。若肿胀严重，应用棱针点刺放出恶血，绝对不可用火针烙烫。若伴有恶寒发热，或头痛，或肢体拘急，宜采用解表发散法治疗，使用荆防败毒散。若肿胀严重且表里俱实（邪气盛实），使用追疔夺命汤。若无表证也无里证，仅肿胀严重者，使用两面龟散。若是突然发作的红肿，绝对不可用针刺破，只适宜用洗肿方淋洗患处，并用八仙膏、解毒丸等药物外涂。若情况紧急，可直接取金脑香叶、田茶菊，研磨后加酒温服，并将药渣敷于患处，将药汁刷涂于患处。尾部和骨节处结毒，如桃李大小，红赤疼痛导致无法行动，此名为“病 ”（注：原文此处可能有缺字或异体字，依文意理解为特定名称）。用芙蓉叶捣碎后加酒炒热缚贴；若已溃烂，取 尾壳火存性研为细末，用麻油调匀搽涂即可痊愈，效果显著。紫游虚疡，用鱼苞子根煎水，加入酒调和服用；另外用水荔花叶、赤子叶捣碎后刷涂患处。若有热象，在追疔夺命汤中加入鸡屎子、鸡距根。手背脚背肿大，有红色痕迹像虾的形状，名为“病虾证”。用油炒盐糟至香，用热汤淬泡成药汤，趁热淋洗患处即可消退，同时需内服痱疡药。膝内侧靠近折纹处，出现结核肿痛，但核形状长如鱼状，名为“上水鱼”。用棱针乱刺放出恶血，用 枯、雷廷藤、山樟子叶捣碎加糟炒热缚贴；又方，用山雷廷藤、赤牛膝、山苏木、 枯捣碎加盐糟炒热缚贴。又一法，用雷藤、鳖尿、藤根皮，捣碎加糟炒热缚贴。又一法，用鱼苞子、 枯，捣碎加糟炒热缚贴。又一法，用山雷廷根皮、 枯捣碎加糟炒热缚贴，并外用七圣膏敷贴，同时内服九金六马散。遍身起如风疹、疥疮、丹毒状的皮疹，颜色白且不痛，只是瘙痒，抓挠后起白色皮屑，名为“蛇虱”。用油秽田肥株、山樟子叶、樟树叶、柏叶煎水，加入少许醋清洗。又一法，只用 叶一味，煎水清洗更快，同时需内服苦参丸、蜡矾丸、金银皂角丸。脚背或脚趾肿痛难忍，将脚高高悬起，疼痛才能稍止，若脚垂下，疼痛难以忍受，名为“倒拔肿疡”。先用两面龟一味煎酒服用，再服用两面龟散。如果无效，用蛇薯磨酒服用，效果显著。耳中疼痛难忍，名为“脑里虚疡”。宜用金脑香根或叶捣烂，加入少许井水，滤去药渣，加入片脑半分研匀，滴入耳中即见效。又用根磨薄荷汤，加入少量酒调和服用。又用金鸡舌、苦参、青木香、金凤尾研磨成水，加入少许片脑和匀过滤干净，滴入耳中。同时内服两面龟散，以及用水圹子根煎水加入酒调和服用。紫游风，用紫茶根皮研磨成水刷涂。又一法，加入红心蜈蚣、小金钱豆瓣草、马蹄草，金莺叶尾研磨成水，加入少许醋温热后刷涂。
附方
两面龟散：治疗一切肿疡发红，无名肿毒疼痛者。
药材：两面龟、鸡屎子、鸡KT根、诈死子、真珠美、山乌豆、紫金皮、脱壳藤、鱼桐根、山淡豉、连叉大青、沿地鸡KT。
用法：以上药材加水煎煮，加入酒调和服用。发热者加水圹根、吉面消。骨里痛者加紫金藤、马蹄金、铁马鞭。又一法，加臭木待根、山芙蓉根、山苎根、川山蜈蚣。

药材：毛屎梯叶（七分）、鸡屎子叶（三分）。
用法：以上药材研为细末。用米泔水调温后刷涂。
又一法：生樟柳根研为细末，用米泔水调温刷涂；或用毛屎梯叶，一同刷涂也很好。
〔丹〕卒然肿胀且剧烈疼痛。用大的芫青根捣碎，与苦酒混合如泥状，煮三沸，涂在帛布上包裹患处。（葛氏）
风毒肿胀三年，用浓煎的葱白和苦酒，用布包裹熨烫肿胀处。（《外台秘要》）
治疗一切热毒肿胀，用商陆根加少许盐，敷于患处，每天更换两次。（孙真人《食忌》）
治疗一切毒肿，疼痛难忍者，捣碎蓖麻仁敷于患处，立即见效。（《肘后方》）
治疗肿胀，取蒺藜子一升，炒黄捣细，用香油和成泥状，再炒至焦黑，用旧布按肿胀大小摊开贴在肿胀处，不要刺破顶端。（《外苔秘要》）
治疗恶刺，以及狐狸刺导致的毒肿，取蒲公英草根的白色汁液敷于患处，多涂几次立即痊愈。我在七月十五日夜，左手中指背面擦到庭园树木，疼痛难忍，十日后，疮口日渐加深隆起，剧痛欲死，用此法而安定。（孙方）
〔衍〕腊月间，用新瓦罐装满热水，投入二升朴硝，在汤中搅散，挂在北屋檐下，等待硝渗出罐外收集起来，用人乳汁调半盏，扫涂一切风热毒瓦斯攻注引起的目脸，以及发于头面四肢的肿痛，应用神效。
〔山〕肿毒或疼痛处，用赤小豆研为细末，水调敷并频繁更换；或用香白芷，水调敷尤其好。又一法，白芙蓉叶晒干，同皂角研为细末，水调敷。
〔丹〕治疗身体各处皮肉里面疼痛，用何首乌末加姜汁调成膏，用帛布包裹在疼痛处，用火炙烤皮鞋底熨烫患处，效果奇妙。（《经验方》）
治疗一切赤肿，只要痈毒结聚但未成脓的，都可以消除。
以上用黄蜀葵花子不拘多少研细。滴水使其稀稠适中，用绢帕子裹紧，随时汲取剩余的汁液，扑打肿胀四周数次。
犀角饮：治疗各种风肿。
药材：犀角（一钱，镑片）、玄参、连翘、柴胡（去苗，各半两）、升麻、木通（各七钱半）、芒硝（生用）、麦门冬（去心，各一两）、沉香、檀香、射干、甘草（炙，各二钱半）。

蚕砂熨方：治疗风肿。
药材：晚蚕砂、盐（各不拘多少）。
用法：以上混合炒熟，用布包裹熨烫。冷了再炒，各加入少许醋更好。
水澄膏：治疗热肿痛，效果显著。
药材：大黄、黄柏、郁金、天南星、白芨、朴硝、黄蜀葵花（各一两）。
用法：以上研为细末。每次用新水一盏半，药末二钱，搅匀调合，候沉淀后去掉浮水。用纸花子摊于肿胀处贴之。如果干燥，用津液润湿，此药除热毒消肿神效。如果皮肤白色者，勿用。
Ankylosis without a name (swelling and toxicity of unknown origin) refers to conditions not limited to the head, face, hands, feet, chest, or abdomen, characterized by redness, swelling, hardness, nodular masses, and pain. It is also known as "Zhong Yang" (Swelling Ulcer) or "Xu Yang" (Deficiency Ulcer). Any swelling lacking a distinct head or clear boundary falls into this category. If the swelling is severe, puncture with a triangular needle to evacuate evil blood; absolutely do not use fire needles for cauterization. If accompanied by aversion to cold and fever, headache, or limb stiffness, employ exterior-releasing and dispersing methods using Jingfang Baidu San (Aster and Saposhnikovia Decoction to Overcome Toxicity). If the swelling is severe and both exterior and interior patterns are excess, use Zhuding Tuoming Tang (Decoction to Pursue Carbuncles and Snatch Life). If there are no exterior or interior symptoms but the swelling is severe, use Liangmian Gui San (Two-Sided Turtle Powder). If sudden onset of redness and swelling occurs, absolutely do not puncture with needles; instead, wash the area with Xizhong Fang (Washing Swelling Formula) and apply external medications such as Baxian Gao (Eight Immortals Ointment) or Jiedu Wan (Detoxifying Pills). In urgent cases, grind Jinnaoxiang Ye (Golden Brain Fragrant Leaves) and Tiancha Ju (Field Tea Chrysanthemum), mix with warm wine for oral administration, apply the dregs to the affected area, and brush the juice onto the lesion. Toxic nodules at the tail and bone joints, resembling plums or peaches in size, red, hot, painful, and limiting movement, are named "Bing [Character Missing]" (Disease [Name]). Crush Furong Ye (Hibiscus Leaf), stir-fry with wine, and bind to the area; if ulcerated, calcinate Wei Ke (Tail Shell) until charred externally but raw internally, powder it, mix with sesame oil, and apply for cure. For Ziyou Xu Yang (Purple Wandering Deficiency Ulcer), decoct Yubaozi Gen (Fish Brood Root) and mix with wine for drinking; additionally, crush Shuili Hua Ye (Water Lily Flower Leaf) and Chizi Ye (Red Child Leaf) and brush on the area. If heat signs are present, add Jishizi (Chicken Droppings) and Jiju Gen (Chicken Spur Root) to Zhuding Tuoming Tang. Swelling of the dorsum of hands and feet with red streaks resembling shrimp is named "Bing Xia Zheng" (Disease Shrimp Syndrome). Stir-fry salted brine with oil until fragrant, quench in hot water to make a decoction, and wash the area while hot to reduce swelling; simultaneously administer Feiyang Yao (Callosity Ulcer Medicine). Nodular swelling and pain near the crease inside the knee, where the nodule is elongated like a fish, is named "Shang Shui Yu" (Upper Water Turtle). Puncture randomly with a triangular needle to evacuate evil blood; bind with Ku (Withered material/Herb), Leiting Teng (Thunder Vine), and Shanzhang Zi Ye (Mountain Camphor Seed Leaf) crushed with bran and stir-fried. Another formula uses Shanleiting Teng (Mountain Thunder Vine), Chiniuxi (Red Achyranthes), Shansumu (Mountain Sappanwood), and Ku crushed with salted bran and stir-fried. Another method uses Leiteng (Thunder Vine), Bie Niao (Turtle Urine), and Tenggen Pi (Vine Root Bark) crushed with bran and stir-fried. Another method uses Yubaozi (Fish Brood) and Ku crushed with bran and stir-fried. Another method uses Shanleiting Genpi (Mountain Thunder Vine Root Bark) and Ku crushed with bran and stir-fried, combined with external application of Qisheng Gao (Seven Sages Ointment) and internal administration of Jiujin Lima San (Nine Gold Six Horse Powder). Generalized rash resembling urticaria, scabies, or erysipelas, white in color, non-painful but itchy, raising white scales upon scratching, is named "Sheshi" (Snake Lice). Decoct Youhui Tianfeizhu (Oil Filth Field Fertilizer Plant), Shanzhang Zi Ye (Mountain Camphor Seed Leaf), Zhangshu Ye (Camphor Tree Leaf), and Baiye (Cypress Leaf), add vinegar, and wash. Another method uses only Ye (Leaf) decocted for washing for faster results; concurrently administer Kushen Wan (Sophora Pill), Lafan Wan (Beeswax Alum Pill), or Jinyin Zaojiao Wan (Silver Acacia Pill). Unbearable swelling and pain of the dorsum of the foot or toes: elevate the leg to relieve pain; lowering the leg causes unbearable pain, named "Daoba Zhongyang" (Inverted Pull Swelling Ulcer). First, decoct Liangmian Gui (Two-Sided Turtle) in wine and drink; then take Liangmian Gui San. If ineffective, grind Sheshu (Snake Yam) in wine and drink for great effect. Unbearable ear pain is named "Naoli Xu Yang" (Brain Interior Deficiency Ulcer). Grind Jinnaoxiang Gen or Ye (Golden Brain Fragrant Root or Leaf), mix with well water, filter, add Pian Nao (Borneol), and drip into the ear. Alternatively, grind root in mint decoction, mix with wine, and drink. Alternatively, grind Jinjishé (Golden Chicken Tongue), Kushen (Sophora), Qingmuxiang (Green Aromatic), and Jinfengwei (Golden Phoenix Tail) in water, add Borneol, filter, and drip into the ear. Concurrently take Liangmian Gui San and decoct Shuitangzi Gen (Water Pond Root) with wine. For Ziyou Feng (Purple Wandering Wind), grind Zitagenpi (Purple Tea Root Bark) in water and brush. Another formula adds Hongxin Wugong (Red Heart Centipede), Xiao Jinqian Doubancao (Small Coin Bean Grass), and Maticao (Horse Hoof Grass), grind Jinying Yewei (Golden Oriole Leaf Tip) in water, add vinegar, warm, and brush.

Liangmian Gui San (Two-Sided Turtle Powder): Treats all types of red swelling ulcers and painful toxic swellings of unknown origin.
Ingredients: Liangmian Gui, Jishizi, JikT Gen, Zhasi Zi, Zhenzhumei, Shandoudou, Zijinpi, Tuoketeng, Yutong Gen, Shandanchi, Lianchadaqing, YandijiKT.
Usage: Decoct ingredients in water, mix with wine and drink. For fever, add Shuitang Gen and Jimianxiao. For deep bone pain, add Zijinteng, Matijin, and Tiema Bian. Another variation adds Choumu Dai Gen, Shanfurong Gen, and Shanzhu Gen.
Jishizi San (Chicken Dropping Powder): Treats deficiency ulcers.
Ingredients: Jishizi, Zhasi Zi, Dongqing Gen, Yangxiang Gen.
Usage: Decoct in water, mix with wine and drink.
Retu Xiaodu San (Heat-Reducing Detoxification Powder): Treats toxic swellings of unknown origin with fever.
Ingredients: Jishizi, JikT Gen, Shuitang Gen, Choumu Dai, Baigenzi, Shandoudou, Kuhuazi, Zijinteng, Jinnaxiang, Jimianxiao, Lianchadaqing, Luoyagua Teng, Dayeqingxia, Guoshanlong Geng, Dayejinliangsan.
Usage: Decoct with Bohe (Mint) and drink.
Tianhua Gadu San (Trichosanthes Scraping-Toxin Powder): Treats all swellings with redness and pain.
Ingredients: Tianhuafen, Huangbai (3 liang each), Nanxing, Chishaoyao, Jianghuang (1 liang each).
Usage: Powder, mix with well water. Add vinegar, warm, and brush on the lesion. Cold brushing is acceptable in summer.
Tuizhong Xiaohe San (Swelling-Reducing Nodule-Dissolving Powder): Treats all toxic swellings of unknown origin and nodular red swelling.
Ingredients: Genjiaogen (4 liang), Zijinpi, Zhangliugen (1 liang each).
Usage: Powder. Select 2-3 herbs from Maoshiti Ye, Shengdihuang, Kubohé, Jinnaxiang, Jinfengwei, Dimohé, Chizi, Kaoshi Ye. Crush leaves in rice wash water, add vinegar, warm, and brush. Another method: Use only Genjiaogen powder, grind with Shengchizhangliugen in rice wash water and apply for better effect.
Xiaozhong Jiedu San (Swelling-Reducing Toxin-Seizing Powder): Treats all toxic swellings of unknown origin and deficiency ulcers.
Ingredients: Maoshiti Ye (7 fen), Jishizi Ye (3 fen).
Usage: Powder. Mix with warm rice wash water and brush.
Another method: Powder Shengzhangliugen (Fresh Camphor Willow Root), mix with warm rice wash water and brush; or combine with Maoshiti Ye for brushing.
[Dan] Sudden swelling with severe pain. Pound large Yuanqing Gen (Cantharis Root), mix with Kujiu (Vinegar) to form mud, boil three times, wrap in cloth, and apply. (Ge Shi)
Wind-toxic swelling lasting three years. Boil Congbai (Scallion White) thickly with vinegar, wrap in cloth, and apply heat compress to swelling. (Waitai Miyao)
Treat all heat-toxic swellings. Apply Shanglu Gen (Phytolacca Root) mixed with a little salt. Change twice daily. (Sun Taoren's Food Taboos)
Treat all toxic swellings with unbearable pain. Crush Bimaren (Castor Bean Kernel) and apply for immediate effect. (Zhouhou Fang)
Treat swelling. Roast 1 sheng of Jilizi (Tribulus Fruit) until yellow, pound fine, mix with sesame oil to form mud, roast until charred, spread on old cloth according to swelling size, and apply without piercing the top. (Waitai Miyao)
Treat malignant thorns and fox-thorn toxic swelling. Apply white juice of Pugongying Gen (Dandelion Root) generously for quick recovery. I scratched my left middle finger back against a garden tree on the night of July 15th; after ten days, the wound deepened and raised, causing excruciating pain. This remedy brought relief. [Jing] For heat swelling, grind Shandou Gen (Toona Sinensis Root/Bark) in water to extract thick juice, apply, and reapply when dry.
[Yan] In December, fill a new clay pot with hot water, add 2 sheng of Xiaoshaoshi (Mirabilite), dissolve, hang under the north eaves, collect the efflorescence that seeps out, mix half a cup with human breast milk, and sweep over wind-heat toxin attacks on eyes/face or swelling/pain on head/face/extremities. Highly effective.
[Shan] For swollen/toxic or painful areas, powder Chi Xiaodou (Adzuki Bean), mix with water, apply frequently. Or use Xiangbaizhi (Angelica Dahurica), mix with water, apply for superior effect. Another method: Dry Furong Ye (Hibiscus Leaf), powder with Zaojiao (Gleditsia Fruit), mix with water, and apply.
[Dan] For deep-seated pain in skin/flesh anywhere, powder Heshouwu (Polygonum Multiflorum), mix with Ginger Juice to form paste, wrap in cloth, and apply heat compress using a roasted leather shoe sole. Excellent. (Experience Formula)
Treat all red swelling where carbuncle toxins have condensed but not yet suppurated; these can be resolved.
Grind Huangshukui Huazi (Yellow Hibiscus Flower Seeds) finely. Add water to achieve proper consistency, wrap in silk, squeeze out remaining juice, and pat around the four sides of the swelling several times.
Xijiao Yin (Rhinoceros Horn Drink): Treats various wind-induced swellings.
Ingredients: Xijiao (1 qian, shaved), Xuanshen, Lianqiao, Chaihu (deveined, 0.5 liang each), Shengma, Mutong (0.75 qian each), Mangxiao (raw), Maimendong (decored, 1 liang each), Chenxiang, Tanxiang, Shegan, Gancao (roasted, 0.25 qian each).
Usage: Chop coarsely. Take 5 qian-bi per dose, decoct in 1.5 cups of water until 0.8 cup remains, strain. Warm drink after meals and after evening meal. Reduce dose if diarrhea occurs. Also known as Xijiao Tang, without Tanxiang.
Yifeng San (Wind-Dispersing Compress Powder): Treats sores/swelling caused by wind.
Ingredients: Qianghuo, Fangfeng, Baizhi, Wuzhuyu, Xixin, Danggui, Shaoyao, Yuanhua, Guanzi (equal parts).
Usage: Coarse powder, one dose. Finely chop 0.5 jin of Chipi Cong (Red Skin Scallion with roots), mix with strong vinegar, stir-fry until very hot, wrap in cloth, and apply heat compress to sore. Replace with fresh hot mixture when cool until pain stops.
Cansha Yi Fang (Silkworm Sand Compress Formula): Treats wind swelling.
Ingredients: Wancangsha (Silkworm Frass), Salt (any amount).
Usage: Stir-fry together, wrap in cloth, and apply heat compress. Reheat when cool; adding a little vinegar is beneficial.
Shuicheng Gao (Water-Clearing Ointment): Highly effective for heat-induced swelling and pain.
Ingredients: Dahuang, Huangbai, Yujin, Tiannanxing, Baiji, Xiaoshaoshi, Huangshukui Hua (1 liang each).
Usage: Fine powder. Mix 2 qian powder with 1.5 cups of fresh water, stir evenly, let settle, discard floating water. Spread on paper flower-shaped patches and apply to swelling. Moisten with saliva if dry. Extremely effective for clearing heat-toxin and reducing swelling. Do not use on white skin.
