排风汤（见中风。）
桂星散
辣桂 川芎 当归 石菖蒲 细辛 木通 木香 白蒺藜（炒，去刺） 麻黄（去节） 甘草
（炙。各一钱） 白芷梢 天南星（煨裂。各一钱半）
水二盅，葱白二根，紫苏五叶，姜五片，煎至一盅，食后服。一方，加全蝎去毒一钱。
磁石羊肾丸 治风虚不爽，时有重听，或有风痹之状。
磁石（二两，火 醋淬七次，用葱子一合，木通三两，入水同煎一昼夜，去葱、木通） 川椒（去目）
石枣（去核） 防风 远志肉 白术 茯苓 细辛 菟丝子（酒浸） 川芎 山药 木香 鹿茸
（酒浸一宿，炙） 当归 黄 川乌（炮。各一两） 石菖蒲（一两半） 肉桂（六钱半） 熟地黄（九蒸，二两）
上为细末，用羊肾两对，去膜，以酒煮烂，和诸药末捣，以煮肾酒打糊和丸，如梧
子大。每服百十丸，空心温酒、盐汤任下。仍服清神散，二药相间服。忌牛肉、鸡鸭子。
清神散 治气壅，头目不清，耳常重听。
甘菊花 白僵蚕（炒。各半两） 羌活 荆芥穗 木通 川芎 防风（各四钱） 木香（一钱）
石菖蒲 甘草（各一钱半）
上为细末，每服二钱，食后茶清调饮。
磁石浸酒方 治风邪之气干于脑，或入于耳，久而不散，经络痞塞，不能宣利，使
人耳中 然，或作旋运。
磁石（五两，捣碎，水淘去赤汁） 山茱萸 天雄（炮，去皮脐。各二两） 木通 防风 薯蓣 菖
蒲远志（去心） 芎 细辛 蔓荆子 白茯苓 干姜（炮） 肉桂 甘菊花（各一两） 熟地黄（三两）
上锉细和匀，以生绢袋盛，用酒二斗，浸七日。每日任性饮之，以瘥为度。
鱼脑膏 治风聋年久及耳鸣。
生鲤鱼脑（二两） 当归（切，焙） 细辛（去苗荚） 附子（炮，去皮脐） 白芷 菖蒲（各半两）
上除鱼脑外，为细末，以鱼脑置银器中，入药在内，微火煎，候香滤去滓，倾入瓷器
中候凝，丸如枣核大，绵裹塞耳中。一方，无菖蒲，有羊肾脂，同鱼脑先熬，次下诸药。
羊肾羹
杜仲（去粗皮，炙黄） 黄 （各半两） 磁石（五两，捣碎，水淘去赤汁，绵裹悬煎，不得到铛底）
羊肾（一只，去脂膜，切） 肉苁蓉（一两，酒浸一宿，去皮，炙干）
上以水三大碗，先煮磁石，取汁二大碗，下杜仲等，又煎取一盏半，去滓，入羊肾，粳
米一合，葱白、姜、椒、盐、醋，一如作羹法，空心服。
磁石丸
磁石（火 醋淬七次） 防风 羌活 黄 （盐水浸，焙） 木通（去皮） 白芍药 桂心（不见火，各
一两） 人参（半两）
上为末，用羊肾一对，去脂膜捣烂，打酒糊为丸，如桐子大。每服五十丸，空心温酒、盐汤下。
姜蝎散 治耳聋气塞肾虚等证。
上用全蝎四十九个，去虿炮湿。以糯米半升，于大瓦铺平，将蝎铺米上，焙令米黄
为度，去米不用。又切生姜四十九片，每片置蝎再焙，姜焦为度，去姜不用，将蝎研为
细末。三五日前，每日先服黑锡丹三五服，临服药时，令夜饭半饱，服时看其人酒量，勿
令大醉，服已令熟睡，勿得叫醒，却令人轻唤，如不听得，浓煎葱白汤碗令饮，五更耳
中闻百十攒竹响，便自此闻声。一方，无糯米制，银石器中炒。
〔风热〕
犀角饮子 治风热上壅，耳内聋闭，肾肿掣痛，脓血流出。
犀角（镑） 木通 石菖蒲 甘菊花（去根枝） 玄参 赤芍药 赤小豆（炒。各二钱） 甘草
（炙，一钱）
水二盅，生姜五片，煎至一盅，不拘时服。
芍药散 治热壅生风，耳内痛于头相连，脓血流出。
赤芍药 白芍药 川芎 木鳖子 当归 大黄 甘草（各一钱半）
水二盅，煎至一盅，食后服。
犀角散 治风毒壅热，心胸痰滞，两耳虚聋，头重目眩。
犀角屑 甘菊花 前胡 枳壳（麸炒黄） 石菖蒲 羌活 泽泻 木通 生地黄（各半两）
麦门冬（去心，二两） 甘草（炙，二钱半）
上为末，每服三钱，水煎去滓，食后温服。
茯神散 治上焦风热，耳忽聋鸣，四肢满急，胸膈痞闷不利。
茯神（去木） 麦门冬（去心，各一两） 羌活 防风（去杈） 蔓荆子 薏苡仁 石菖蒲 五味
子黄 （各半两） 薄荷 甘草（各二钱半）
上为末，每服三钱，生姜三片，水煎去滓，食后温服。
通圣散（见眩晕。） 滚痰丸（见痰饮。）
解仓饮子 治气虚热壅，或失饥冒暑，风热上壅，耳内聋闭彻痛，脓血流出。
赤芍药 白芍药（各半两） 当归 炙甘草 大黄（蒸） 木鳖子（去壳。各一两）
上锉散，每服四钱，水煎，食后临卧服。

槟榔神芎丸

上为末，滴水丸，桐子大。每服十丸，次加十丸，白汤下。
〔肾虚寒〕
烧肾散（《宝鉴》） 方无巴戟。
磁石（一两， 醋淬七次，研飞） 附子（一两，炮，去皮） 巴戟（一两） 川椒（一两，去目及闭口者，
微炒去汗）
上为末，每服用猪肾一枚，去筋膜细切，葱白、薤白各一分，入散药一钱，盐花一
字，和匀，用十重湿纸裹，于塘灰火内煨熟，空心细嚼，酒解薄粥下之，十日效。
苁蓉丸（《济生》） 治肾虚耳聋，或风邪入于经络，耳内虚鸣。
肉苁蓉（酒浸，焙） 山茱萸肉 石龙芮 石菖蒲 菟丝子（酒浸，蒸，焙） 羌活 鹿茸（去

上为末，蜜丸桐子大。每服百丸，空心盐酒、盐汤任下。
益肾散 治肾虚耳聋。

上为细末，每服二钱，用猪肾一只细切，和以葱白、少盐并药，湿纸十重裹，煨令香
熟，空心细嚼，温酒送下。
补肾丸 治肾虚耳聋。

上为细末，以羊肾研烂细，酒煮面糊丸，如桐子大。每服五十丸，空心盐酒送下。
肉苁蓉丸 治肾虚耳聋。
肉苁蓉（酒浸，焙） 菟丝子（酒浸，另研） 山芋 白茯苓（去皮） 人参 官桂（去粗皮） 防风（去杈）

切，去筋膜，炙干）
上为细末，炼蜜和丸，如桐子大。每服三十丸，空心用温酒送下。
桑螵蛸汤 治虚损耳聋。
桑螵蛸（十枚，炙） 当归 白术（来泔浸，炒） 白茯苓（去皮） 官桂（去粗皮） 附子（炮） 牡荆子
磁石（火 醋淬） 菖蒲（米泔浸，焙） 干地黄（焙。各一两） 大黄（锉，炒） 细辛（去苗） 川芎 牡丹
皮（各半两）
上 咀，每服三钱匕，先以水三盏，煮猪肾一只，取汁一盏，去肾，入药煎至七分，
去滓，食前温服。
八味丸 治耳聩及虚鸣。
上用好全蝎四十九枚，炒微黄，为末。每服三钱，以温酒调，仍下八味丸百粒，空心，
只三两服见效。（方见香港脚。）
羊肾丸 治肾虚耳聋，或劳顿伤气，中风虚损，肾气升而不降，或耳虚鸣。
山茱萸 干姜 川巴戟 芍药 泽泻 北细辛 菟丝子（酒浸） 远志（去心） 桂心 黄
石斛 干地黄 附子 当归 牡丹皮 蛇床子 甘草 苁蓉（酒浸） 人参（各二两） 菖
蒲（一两） 防风（一两半） 茯苓（半两）
上为末，以羊肾一双研细，以酒煮面糊丸，梧子大。食前盐酒下三十丸至五十丸，立效。
安肾丸 治虚弱耳聋。
大安肾丸（四两） 磁石（半两，醋 ） 石菖蒲 羌活（各半两）
上三件，为末，混合为丸，梧子大。每服四五十丸，盐汤、温酒任下。
地黄丸 治劳损耳聋。
大熟地黄（洗，焙） 当归 川芎 辣桂 菟丝子（酒浸三日，蒸干，捣末） 大川椒（出汗） 故
纸（炒） 白蒺藜（炒，杵去刺） 葫芦巴（炒） 杜仲（姜制，炒去丝） 白芷 石菖蒲（各二钱半） 磁石（火
烧醋淬七次，研细水飞，三钱七分半）
上件药，为细末，炼蜜为丸，如梧桐子大。每服五十丸，以葱白、温酒空心吞下，晚
饭前再服一服。
〔肾热〕
地黄汤（《本事》）
生地黄（一两半） 枳壳 羌活 桑白皮（各一两） 磁石（捣碎，水淘三二十次，去尽赤汁为度，二
两） 甘草 防风 黄芩 木通（各半两）
上件药，为粗末，每服四钱，水煎去滓，日二三服。
〔肺虚〕
蜡弹丸（《三因》） 治耳虚聋。
白茯苓（二两） 山药（炒，三两） 杏仁（炒，一两半，去皮尖）
上三味，研为末，和匀，用黄蜡一两熔和为丸，如弹子大。盐汤嚼下。有人止以黄
蜡细嚼，点好建茶送下，亦效。
山药、茯苓、杏仁皆入于太阳，山药大补阴气，惟杏仁利气，乃补中有通也。少气
嗌干者，门冬、人参、五味汤嚼下。
益气聪明汤（见目。）
〔气闭〕
通气散
茴香 木香 全蝎 玄胡索 陈皮 菖蒲（各一钱） 羌活 僵蚕 川芎 蝉蜕（各半钱）
穿山甲（二钱） 甘草（一钱半）
上件药，为细末，每服三钱，不拘时候，温酒调服。
复元通气散 治诸气涩耳聋，腹痈便痈，
疮疽无头，止痛消肿。
青皮 陈皮（去白。各四两） 甘草（三寸半，炙） 连翘（一两）
上为末，热酒调服。
菖蒲散
石菖蒲（十两，一寸九节者） 苍术（五两，生用）
上锉成块子，置瓶内，以米泔浸七日，取出苍术，只将菖蒲于甑上蒸三两时，取出焙
干，捣为细末。每服二钱，糯米饮调服，日三次。或将蒸熟者作指头大块子，食后置口
中，时时嚼动咽津亦可。
秘传降气汤加石菖蒲，治气壅耳聋，大有神效。（方见气门。）
〔外治〕
通神散
全蝎（一枚） 地龙 土狗（各二个） 明矾（半生半 ） 雄黄（各半两） 麝香（一字）
上为细末，每用少许，葱白蘸药引入耳中，闭气面壁，坐一时，三日一次。
通耳法
磁石（用紧者，如豆大一块） 穿山甲（烧存性，为末，一字）
上二味，用新绵子裹了，塞所患耳内，口中衔少生铁，觉耳内如风雨声即愈。
追风散
藜芦 雄黄 川芎 石菖蒲 全蝎 白芷 藿香 鹅不食草 薄荷 苦丁香（各等分） 麝香（少许）
上为细末，每用些少吹鼻中。如无鹅不食草，加片脑少许。
蓖麻丸
蓖麻子（去壳） 松脂 黄蜡 杏仁（去皮、双仁，炒。各半两） 乳香 食盐 巴豆（炒。各二钱半）
上件药，捣如膏，捻如枣核样，以黄蜡薄卷之，大针扎两三眼子，两头透，用塞耳，
经宿黄水出愈。
透耳筒
椒目 巴豆 菖蒲 松脂（各一钱）
上件药，为末，摊令薄，卷作筒子，塞耳内，一日一易。
雄黄散
雄黄 防风 矾石 石菖蒲 乌头 川椒（开口者，炒出汗，各二钱半） 大枣核（十枚）
上为末，以香炉中安艾一弹子大，次着黄柏末半钱匕 于艾上，覆以药二钱匕着艾
上，火燃向耳熏之。
又方
一豆三猫不出油，麝香少许用真修。
炼蜜为丸麦粒大，绵裹锭子耳中投。
鲫鱼胆膏
鲫鱼胆（一个） 乌驴脂（少许） 生油（半两）
上和匀，纳楼葱管中七日，滴入耳内。
蝎梢膏
蝎梢（七枚，焙） 淡豉（二十一粒，拣大者焙干） 巴豆（七粒，去心膜，不去油）
上先研蝎梢、淡豉令细，别研巴豆成膏，同研匀，捏如小枣核状，用葱白小头取孔，以
药一粒在内，用薄绵裹定。临卧时置耳中，一宿取出，未通再用，以通为度。
鼠胆丸
曾青（一钱） 龙脑（半钱） 凌霄花（三钱）
上为细末，每用一字吹入，后用鼠胆滴入，随用绵子塞之，从晚至鸡鸣取出。
鸡卵方
新鸡卵（一个） 巴豆（一粒，去心膜）
上先以鸡卵上开一孔，将巴豆纳卵中，以纸两重，面粘贴盖，却与鸡抱，以其余卵雏
出为度。取汁滴于耳内，日二次。
治耳聋灸方 用苍术一块，长七分，将一头削尖，一头截平，将尖头插入耳内，平
头上安箸头大艾炷灸之，轻者七壮，重者十四壮，觉耳中有热气者效。
又方 用竹筒盛鲤鱼脑，炊饭处蒸之令烊，注耳中；一方生用，以绵裹包入耳中。
一方，用鲤鱼胆汁滴入耳中。
又方 用蜡纸一张，剪作四片，每一片于箸上紧卷，抽却箸，以蜡纸卷子安耳中燃
【风邪虚损】
排风汤（参见中风章节）
桂星散
组成：辣桂、川芎、当归、石菖蒲、细辛、木通、木香、白蒺藜（炒制，去刺）、麻黄（去节）、甘草（炙。以上各一钱）、白芷梢、天南星（煨至裂开。以上各一钱半）。
煎服法：用水二盅，葱白两根，紫苏叶五片，生姜五片，煎煮至一盅，饭后服用。另一配方，加全蝎（去毒）一钱。
磁石羊肾丸
主治：风邪虚损导致的听力不灵敏，时常出现重听，或有风痹的症状。
组成：磁石（二两，火醋淬炼七次，用葱子一合、木三两，加水同煎一昼夜，去掉葱和木通）、川椒（去目）、石枣（去核）、防风、远志肉、白术、茯苓、细辛、菟丝子（酒浸）、川芎、山药、木香、鹿茸（酒浸一夜，炙烤）、当归、黄芪、川乌（炮制。以上各一两）、石菖蒲（一两半）、肉桂（六钱半）、熟地黄（九蒸，二两）。
制作与服用：将上述药物研为细末，用羊肾两对，去掉内膜，用酒煮烂，与药末混合捣匀，用煮肾的药酒打糊制成丸剂，如梧桐子大小。每次服用一百至一百一十丸，空腹时用温酒或盐汤送服。同时服用清神散，两种药交替服用。忌食牛肉、鸡鸭。
清神散
主治：气机壅滞，头目不清爽，耳朵经常重听。
组成：甘菊花、白僵蚕（炒。以上各半两）、羌活、荆芥穗、木通、川芎、防风（以上各四钱）、木香（一钱）、石菖蒲、甘草（以上各一钱半）。
制作与服用：将上述药物研为细末，每次服用二钱，饭后用茶汁调服。
磁石浸酒方
主治：风邪之气侵犯脑部，或进入耳中，日久不散，导致经络痞塞，不能宣通流利，使人耳中闭塞，或产生眩晕感。
组成：磁石（五两，捣碎，用水淘洗去除红色汁液）、山茱萸、天雄（炮制，去皮脐。以上各二两）、木通、防风、薯蓣、菖蒲、远志（去心）、川芎、细辛、蔓荆子、白茯苓、干姜（炮制）、肉桂、甘菊花（以上各一两）、熟地黄（三两）。
制作与服用：将上述药物切碎拌匀，用生绢袋盛装，用酒二斗浸泡七日。每天随意饮用，以病愈为度。
鱼脑膏
主治：风聋多年及耳鸣。
组成：生鲤鱼脑（二两）、当归（切片，焙干）、细辛（去苗荚）、附子（炮制，去皮脐）、白芷、菖蒲（以上各半两）。
制作与服用：除鱼脑外，其余药物研为细末，将鱼脑放入银器中，加入药粉，用微火煎煮，待闻到香味后滤去药渣，倒入瓷器中等待凝固，制成如枣核大小的丸剂，用棉包裹塞入耳中。另一配方，无菖蒲，有羊肾脂，先将羊肾脂与鱼脑一起熬制，然后加入其他药物。
羊肾羹
组成：杜仲（去粗皮，炙黄）、黄芪（以上各半两）、磁石（五两，捣碎，用水淘洗去除红色汁液，用绵包裹悬挂煎煮，不得接触锅底）、羊肾（一只，去脂膜，切片）、肉苁蓉（一两，酒浸一夜，去皮，炙干）。
制作与服用：用水三大碗，先煮磁石，取汁两大碗，加入杜仲等药，再煎取一盏半汁，滤去药渣，加入羊肾、粳米一合、葱白、姜、花椒、盐、醋，按照做羹的方法烹饪，空腹服用。
磁石丸
组成：磁石（火醋淬炼七次）、防风、羌活、黄芪（盐水浸，焙干）、木通（去皮）、白芍药、桂心（不见火，以上各一两）、人参（半两）。
制作与服用：将上述药物研为末，用羊肾一对，去脂膜捣烂，用酒糊制成丸剂，如桐子大小。每次服用五十丸，空腹用温酒或盐汤送服。
姜蝎散
主治：耳聋气塞、肾虚等症状。
制作与服用：取全蝎四十九个，去毒并炮制湿润。用糯米半升铺在大瓦上，将蝎子铺在米上，焙至米变黄为止，去掉米不用。再切生姜四十九片，每片放一只蝎子再焙，至姜焦为止，去掉姜不用，将蝎子研为细末。服药前三五天，每天先服用黑锡丹三到五次，临服药时，让晚饭吃半饱，服药时根据患者的酒量决定，不要使其大醉，服后让其熟睡，不要叫醒，若轻唤不应，则浓煎葱白汤一碗令其饮下，五更时分耳中听到百十根竹子生长的声音，从此便能听见声音。另一配方，不用糯米制，在银石器中炒制。
【风热】
犀角饮子
主治：风热上壅，耳内聋闭，肾脏肿胀牵引疼痛，脓血流出。
组成：犀角（镑片）、木通、石菖蒲、甘菊花（去根枝）、玄参、赤芍药、赤小豆（炒。以上各二钱）、甘草（炙，一钱）。
煎服法：用水二盅，生姜五片，煎煮至一盅，不拘时候服用。
芍药散
主治：热壅生风，耳内疼痛牵连头部，脓血流出。
组成：赤芍药、白芍药、川芎、木鳖子、当归、大黄、甘草（以上各一钱半）。
煎服法：用水二盅，煎煮至一盅，饭后服用。
犀角散
主治：风毒壅热，心胸痰滞，两耳虚聋，头重目眩。
组成：犀角屑、甘菊花、前胡、枳壳（麸炒黄）、石菖蒲、羌活、泽泻、木通、生地黄（以上各半两）、麦门冬（去心，二两）、甘草（炙，二钱半）。
制作与服用：将上述药物研为末，每次服用三钱，水煎去渣，饭后温服。
茯神散
主治：上焦风热，耳朵突然聋鸣，四肢胀满急迫，胸膈痞闷不通利。
组成：茯神（去木）、麦门冬（去心，以上各一两）、羌活、防风（去杈）、蔓荆子、薏苡仁、石菖蒲、五味子、黄芪（以上各半两）、薄荷、甘草（以上各二钱半）。
制作与服用：将上述药物研为末，每次服用三钱，生姜三片，水煎去渣，饭后温服。
解仓饮子
主治：气虚热壅，或饥饱失常冒受暑气，风热上壅，耳内聋闭彻痛，脓血流出。
组成：赤芍药、白芍药（以上各半两）、当归、炙甘草、大黄（蒸）、木鳖子（去壳。以上各一两）。
制作与服用：将上述药物切碎，每次服用四钱，水煎，饭后临睡前服用。

【湿痰】
槟榔神芎丸
组成：大黄、黄芩（以上各二两）、牵牛、滑石（以上各四两）、槟榔（二两）。
制作与服用：将上述药物研为末，滴水泛丸，如桐子大小。每次服用十丸，随后每次增加十丸，用白开水送服。
【肾虚寒】
烧肾散（出自《宝鉴》），此方无巴戟天。
组成：磁石（一两，火醋淬炼七次，研细飞罗）、附子（一两，炮制，去皮）、巴戟天（一两）、川椒（一两，去目及闭口者，微炒去汗）。
制作与服用：将上述药物研为末，每次服用时取猪肾一枚，去筋膜细切，加葱白、薤白各一分，加入药散一钱，盐花一字，混合均匀，用十层湿纸包裹，在塘灰火中煨熟，空腹细嚼，用薄粥送服，十日见效。
苁蓉丸（出自《济生》）
主治：肾虚耳聋，或风邪侵入经络，耳内虚鸣。
组成：肉苁蓉（酒浸，焙干）、山茱萸肉、石龙芮、石菖蒲、菟丝子（酒浸，蒸，焙干）、羌活、鹿茸（去毛，酒蒸，焙干）、石斛（去根）、磁石（火醋淬，水飞）、附子（炮制。以上各一两）、全蝎（去毒，七个）、麝香（半字，临时加入）。
制作与服用：将上述药物研为末，蜜丸如桐子大小。每次服用一百丸，空腹用盐酒或盐汤送服。
益肾散
主治：肾虚耳聋。
组成：磁石（制）、巴戟天、川椒（开口者，以上各一两）、石菖蒲、沉香（以上各半两）。
制作与服用：将上述药物研为细末，每次服用二钱，取猪肾一只细切，与葱白、少许盐及药物混合，用湿纸十层包裹，煨至香熟，空腹细嚼，温酒送下。
补肾丸
主治：肾虚耳聋。
组成：巴戟天（去心）、干姜（炮制）、芍药、山茱萸、桂心、远志（去心）、细辛、菟丝子（酒制）、泽泻、石斛、黄芪、干地黄、当归、蛇床子、牡丹皮、肉苁蓉（酒浸）、人参、附子（炮制）、甘草（以上各二两）、石菖蒲（一两）、茯苓（半两）、防风（一两半）、羊肾（两只）。
制作与服用：将上述药物研为细末，将羊肾研烂，用酒煮面糊制成丸剂，如桐子大小。每次服用五十丸，空腹用盐酒送下。
肉苁蓉丸
主治：肾虚耳聋。
组成：肉苁蓉（酒浸，焙干）、菟丝子（酒浸，另研）、山芋、白茯苓（去皮）、人参、官桂（去粗皮）、防风（去杈）、熟地黄、芍药、黄芪（以上各半两）、附子（炮制，去皮脐）、羌活（去芦）、泽泻（以上各二钱半）、羊肾（一对，薄切，去筋膜，炙干）。
制作与服用：将上述药物研为细末，炼蜜和丸，如桐子大小。每次服用三十丸，空腹用温酒送下。
桑螵蛸汤
主治：虚损耳聋。
组成：桑螵蛸（十枚，炙烤）、当归、白术（用泔水浸，炒）、白茯苓（去皮）、官桂（去粗皮）、附子（炮制）、牡荆子、磁石（火醋淬）、菖蒲（米泔浸，焙干）、干地黄（焙干。以上各一两）、大黄（锉碎，炒制）、细辛（去苗）、川芎、牡丹皮（以上各半两）。
制作与服用：将上述药物切碎，每次服用三钱匕，先用水三盏，煮猪肾一只，取汁一盏，去掉肾，加入药物煎至七分，滤去药渣，饭前温服。
八味丸
主治：耳聩及虚鸣。
制作与服用：选用优质全蝎四十九枚，炒至微黄，研为末。每次服用三钱，用温酒调服，同时服用八味丸一百粒，空腹服用，仅服三副即可见效。（方剂见香港脚章节）
羊肾丸
主治：肾虚耳聋，或劳顿伤气，中风虚损，肾气升而不降，或耳虚鸣。
组成：山茱萸、干姜、川巴戟、芍药、泽泻、北细辛、菟丝子（酒浸）、远志（去心）、桂心、黄芪、石斛、干地黄、附子、当归、牡丹皮、蛇床子、甘草、苁蓉（酒浸）、人参（以上各二两）、菖蒲（一两）、防风（一两半）、茯苓（半两）。
制作与服用：将上述药物研为末，用羊肾一双研细，用酒煮面糊制成丸剂，如梧桐子大小。饭前用盐酒送服三十至五十丸，立即见效。
安肾丸
主治：虚弱耳聋。
大安肾丸（四两）、磁石（半两，醋淬）、石菖蒲、羌活（以上各半两）。
制作与服用：将上述三味药研为末，混合制成丸剂，如梧桐子大小。每次服用四五十丸，用盐汤或温酒送服。
地黄丸
主治：劳损耳聋。
组成：大熟地黄（洗净，焙干）、当归、川芎、辣桂、菟丝子（酒浸三日，蒸干，捣末）、大川椒（出汗）、故纸（炒）、白蒺藜（炒，杵去刺）、葫芦巴（炒）、杜仲（姜制，炒去丝）、白芷、石菖蒲（以上各二钱半）、磁石（火烧醋淬七次，研细水飞，三钱七分半）。
制作与服用：将上述药物研为细末，炼蜜为丸，如梧桐子大小。每次服用五十丸，用葱白、温酒空腹吞下，晚饭前再服一次。
【肾热】
地黄汤（出自《本事》）
组成：生地黄（一两半）、枳壳、羌活、桑白皮（以上各一两）、磁石（捣碎，水淘三二十次，去尽红色汁液为度，二两）、甘草、防风、黄芩、木通（以上各半两）。
制作与服用：将上述药物研为粗末，每次服用四钱，水煎去渣，每日服用二至三次。
【肺虚】
蜡弹丸（出自《三因》）
主治：耳虚聋。
组成：白茯苓（二两）、山药（炒，三两）、杏仁（炒，一两半，去皮尖）。
制作与服用：将上述三味药研为末，混合均匀，用黄蜡一两熔化混合制成丸剂，如弹子大小。用盐汤嚼服。有人只细嚼黄蜡，用好建茶送下，也有效。
解析：山药、茯苓、杏仁皆入太阳经，山药大补阴气，只有杏仁利气，这是补中有通。少气咽干者，用麦冬、人参、五味子汤嚼服。
益气聪明汤（参见目疾章节）。
【气闭】
通气散
组成：茴香、木香、全蝎、玄胡索、陈皮、菖蒲（以上各一钱）、羌活、僵蚕、川芎、蝉蜕（以上各半钱）、穿山甲（二钱）、甘草（一钱半）。
制作与服用：将上述药物研为末，每次服用三钱，不拘时候，用温酒调服。
复元通气散
主治：诸气涩导致的耳聋，腹痈便痈，疮疽无头，止痛消肿。
组成：青皮、陈皮（去白。以上各四两）、甘草（三寸半，炙）、连翘（一两）。
制作与服用：将上述药物研为末，用热酒调服。
菖蒲散
组成：石菖蒲（十两，一寸九节者最佳）、苍术（五两，生用）。
制作与服用：将上述药物切成块状，放入瓶内，用米泔水浸泡七日，取出苍术，只用菖蒲放在甑上蒸三个时辰，取出焙干，捣为细末。每次服用二钱，用糯米饮调服，每日三次。或将蒸熟的做成手指大的块状，饭后含在口中，时时咀嚼咽下津液也可。
秘传降气汤加石菖蒲，主治气壅耳聋，大有神效。（方剂见气门章节）
【外治】
通神散
组成：全蝎（一枚）、地龙、土狗（以上各二个）、明矾（半生半熟）、雄黄（以上各半两）、麝香（一字）。
制作与服用：将上述药物研为细末，每次取少许，用葱白蘸药引入耳中，闭气面向墙壁，坐一个时辰，每三天一次。
通耳法
组成：磁石（用质地紧密的，如豆大一块）、穿山甲（烧存性，研为末，一字）。
制作与服用：将上述两味药，用新绵包裹，塞入患耳内，口中衔少量生铁，感觉耳内有风雨声即愈。
追风散
组成：藜芦、雄黄、川芎、石菖蒲、全蝎、白芷、藿香、鹅不食草、薄荷、苦丁香（以上各等分）、麝香（少许）。
制作与服用：将上述药物研为细末，每次取少许吹入鼻中。如无鹅不食草，加少许冰片。
蓖麻丸
组成：蓖麻子（去壳）、松脂、黄蜡、杏仁（去皮、双仁，炒。以上各半两）、乳香、食盐、巴豆（炒。以上各二钱半）。
制作与服用：将上述药物捣如膏状，捻成枣核样，用黄蜡薄卷之，用大针扎两三眼，两头通透，用来塞耳，经过一夜流出黄水即愈。
透耳筒
组成：椒目、巴豆、菖蒲、松脂（以上各一钱）。
制作与服用：将上述药物研为末，摊薄，卷成筒状，塞入耳内，一日更换一次。
雄黄散
组成：雄黄、防风、矾石、石菖蒲、乌头、川椒（开口者，炒出汗，以上各二钱半）、大枣核（十枚）。
制作与服用：将上述药物研为末，在香炉中安放艾绒如弹子大，其次放黄柏末半钱匕在艾上，覆盖药末二钱匕在艾上，点火向耳熏之。
又方
一豆三猫不出油，麝香少许用真修。
炼蜜为丸麦粒大，绵裹锭子耳中投。
鲫鱼胆膏
组成：鲫鱼胆（一个）、乌驴脂（少许）、生油（半两）。
制作与服用：混合均匀，纳入楼葱管中七日，滴入耳内。
蝎梢膏
组成：蝎梢（七枚，焙干）、淡豉（二十一粒，拣大者焙干）、巴豆（七粒，去心膜，不去油）。
制作与服用：先研蝎梢、淡豉令细，另研巴豆成膏，同研均匀，捏如小枣核状，用葱白小头取孔，将药一粒放入在内，用薄绵包裹定。临卧时置耳中，一夜取出，未通再用，以通为度。
鼠胆丸
组成：曾青（一钱）、龙脑（半钱）、凌霄花（三钱）。
制作与服用：将上述药物研为细末，每次取一字吹入，后用鼠胆滴入，随即用棉球塞住，从晚上到鸡鸣时取出。
鸡卵方
组成：新鸡卵（一个）、巴豆（一粒，去心膜）。
制作与服用：先在鸡卵上开一孔，将巴豆纳入卵中，用两层纸，面粉粘贴盖好，交给母鸡抱，以其余卵孵化出雏鸡为度。取汁滴于耳内，每日二次。
治耳聋灸方
用苍术一块，长七分，将一头削尖，一头截平，将尖头插入耳内，平头上安箸头大艾炷灸之，轻者七壮，重者十四壮，感觉耳中有热气者有效。
又方
用竹筒盛鲤鱼脑，在炊饭处蒸之令烊，注入耳中；另一配方生用，用绵包裹包入耳中。
又方
用蜡纸一张，剪作四片，每一片于筷子上紧卷，抽却筷子，以蜡纸卷子安耳中燃

Paifeng Tang (See Stroke.)
Guixing San
Lagui, Chuanxiong, Danggui, Shichangpu, Xixin, Mutong, Muxiang, Baijili (stir-fried, thorns removed), Mahuang (nodes removed), Gancao (honey-fried. Each 1 qian), Baizhi shao, Tiannanxing (roasted until cracked. Each 1.5 qian).
Add two zhong of water, two stalks of scallion white, five leaves of Zisu, and five slices of ginger. Decoct to one zhong. Take after meals. Another prescription adds one qian of Quanxie (de-venomed).
Cishi Yangshen Wan Treats hearing impairment due to wind deficiency, occasional double hearing, or symptoms of wind-bi.
Cishi (2 liang, quenched seven times in fire and vinegar; decocted with one he of scallion seeds and 3 liang of Mutong in water for a day and night, remove scallion and Mutong), Chuanjiao (remove eyes), Shizao (remove pits), Fangfeng, Yuanzhi rou, Baizhu, Fuling, Xixin, Tusizi (soaked in wine), Chuanxiong, Shanyao, Muxiang, Lurong (soaked in wine overnight, fried), Danggui, Huangqi, Chuanwu (processed. Each 1 liang), Shichangpu (1.5 liang), Rougui (6.5 qian), Shudihuang (nine-steamed, 2 liang).
Pulverize the above into fine powder. Use two pairs of sheep kidneys, remove the membrane, boil in wine until soft, mix with the drug powder, pound together, and use the kidney-boiling wine to make paste for pills, sized like wutong seeds. Take 100-110 pills per dose, with warm wine or salt water on an empty stomach. Also take Qingshen San; alternate the two medicines. Avoid beef, chicken, and duck.
Qingshen San Treats qi stagnation, unclear head and eyes, and frequent double hearing.
Ganjuhua, Baijiangcan (stir-fried. Each 0.5 liang), Qianghuo, Jingjiesui, Mutong, Chuanxiong, Fangfeng (Each 4 qian), Muxiang (1 qian), Shichangpu, Gancao (Each 1.5 qian).
Pulverize the above into fine powder. Take 2 qian per dose, mixed with clear tea after meals.
Cishi Jinjiu Fang Treats wind-pathogenic qi invading the brain or entering the ears, lingering for a long time without dispersing, causing blockage of meridians and collaterals, inability to circulate freely, resulting in ear obstruction or vertigo.
Cishi (5 liang, crushed, washed with water to remove red juice), Shanzhuyu, Tianxiong (processed, skin and navel removed. Each 2 liang), Mutong, Fangfeng, Shuyu, Changpu, Yuanzhi (remove heart), Xiong, Xixin, Manjingzi, Bai Fuling, Ganjiang (processed), Rougui, Ganjuhua (Each 1 liang), Shudihuang (3 liang).
Cut the above finely and mix evenly. Place in a raw silk bag, soak in 2 dou of wine for seven days. Drink as desired daily until cured.
Yunao Gao Treats chronic wind deafness and tinnitus.
Sheng Liyu nao (2 liang), Danggui (sliced, baked), Xixin (remove seed pods), Fuzi (processed, skin and navel removed), Baizhi, Changpu (Each 0.5 liang).
Except for the fish brain, pulverize the other drugs into fine powder. Place the fish brain in a silver vessel, add the medicine, simmer over low heat. When fragrant, filter out dregs, pour into a porcelain container, and let solidify. Form into pills the size of jujube pits. Wrap in cotton and insert into the ear. Another prescription omits Changpu and uses Yangshen zhi; first render the fat and brain together, then add other drugs.
Yangshen Geng
Duzhong (remove rough bark, honey-fried to yellow), Huangqi (Each 0.5 liang), Cishi (5 liang, crushed, washed with water to remove red juice, wrapped in cotton and suspended for decoction, do not touch the bottom of the pot), Yangshen (one kidney, remove fat membrane, slice), Rongrong (1 liang, soaked in wine overnight, remove skin, dry-fried).
Use three large bowls of water. First decoct Cishi, obtain two large bowls of liquid. Add Duzhong and others, decoct again to obtain 1.5 bowls. Strain, add Yangshen, 1 he of Jingmi, scallion white, ginger, pepper, salt, and vinegar. Prepare as soup. Take on an empty stomach.
Cishi Wan
Cishi (quenched seven times in fire and vinegar), Fangfeng, Qianghuo, Huangqi (soaked in salt water, baked), Mutong (remove skin), Baishao, Guixin (do not expose to direct fire, each 1 liang), Renshen (0.5 liang).
Pulverize into powder. Use one pair of sheep kidneys, remove fat membrane, pound until soft, make pills with wine paste, sized like tung seeds. Take 50 pills per dose, with warm wine or salt water on an empty stomach.
Jiangxie San Treats deafness due to qi blockage and kidney deficiency.
Take 49 Quanxie, remove stingers and process with moisture. Spread half a sheng of glutinous rice on a large tile, place scorpions on the rice, bake until rice is yellow, discard rice. Slice 49 pieces of fresh ginger, place one scorpion on each slice, bake until ginger is scorched, discard ginger. Grind scorpions into fine powder. Three to five days prior, take Heixi Dan 3-5 doses daily. Before taking medicine, eat half-full dinner. Adjust according to alcohol tolerance, avoid intoxication. Let patient sleep soundly after administration; do not wake them. If they cannot hear when lightly called, brew strong scallion white soup and have them drink. At dawn, if they hear sounds like bamboo rustling, hearing will be restored. Another prescription: stir-fry in silver or enamel ware instead of using rice processing.
[Feng Re]
Xijiao Yinzi Treats wind-heat congestion upward, ear deafness and closure, kidney swelling with pulling pain, and discharge of pus and blood.
Xijiao (shaved), Mutong, Shichangpu, Ganjuhua (remove roots and branches), Xuanshen, Chishao, Xiaodou (stir-fried. Each 2 qian), Gancao (honey-fried, 1 qian).
Add two zhong of water and five slices of ginger. Decoct to one zhong. Take at any time.
Shaoyao San Treats heat congestion generating wind, ear pain radiating to the head, and discharge of pus and blood.
Chishao, Baishao, Chuanxiong, Mugua, Danggui, Dahuang, Gancao (Each 1.5 qian).
Add two zhong of water. Decoct to one zhong. Take after meals.
Xijiao San Treats wind-toxin heat congestion, phlegm stagnation in chest and heart, bilateral virtual deafness, heavy head and dizzy eyes.
Xijiao xie, Ganjuhua, Qianhu, Zhike (bran-stir-fried to yellow), Shichangpu, Qianghuo, Zexie, Mutong, Shengdihuang (Each 0.5 liang), Maidong (remove heart, 2 liang), Gancao (honey-fried, 2.5 qian).
Pulverize into powder. Take 3 qian per dose, decoct in water, strain, take warm after meals.
Fushen San Treats upper jiao wind-heat, sudden deafness and tinnitus, fullness and urgency in four limbs, chest and diaphragm oppression and discomfort.
Fushen (remove wood), Maidong (remove heart, each 1 liang), Qianghuo, Fangfeng (remove branches), Manjingzi, Yiyiren, Shichangpu, Wuweizi, Huangqi (Each 0.5 liang), Bohe, Gancao (Each 2.5 qian).
Pulverize into powder. Take 3 qian per dose with three slices of ginger, decoct in water, strain, take warm after meals.
Tongsheng San (See Vertigo.) Untan Wan (See Phlegm-Fluid Retention.)
Jiecang Yinzi Treats qi deficiency with heat congestion, or exposure to summer-heat due to irregular eating, wind-heat congestion upward, ear deafness and closure with severe pain, and discharge of pus and blood.
Chishao, Baishao (Each 0.5 liang), Danggui, Zhigancao, Dahuang (steamed), Mugua (remove shell. Each 1 liang).
Cut into pieces. Take 4 qian per dose, decoct in water, take after meals before bed.

[Shi Tan]
Bolang Shenxiong Wan
Dahuang, Huangqin (Each 2 liang), Qianniu, Huashi (Each 4 liang), Banglang (2 liang).
Pulverize into powder, make pills with drops of water, sized like tung seeds. Take 10 pills per dose, increase by 10 pills subsequently, take with plain boiled water.
[Shen Xu Han]
Shao Shen San (from *Ba Jian*) Formula lacks Jiquan.
Cishi (1 liang, quenched seven times in fire and vinegar, ground fine and sifted), Fuzi (1 liang, processed, skin removed), Jiquan (1 liang), Chuanjiao (1 liang, remove eyes and closed ones, lightly stir-fry to remove sweat).
Pulverize into powder. For each dose, use one pig kidney, remove fascia, cut finely. Add 1 fen of scallion white and Xiebai, 1 qian of powder, and a pinch of salt. Mix well, wrap in ten layers of wet paper, roast in pond ash fire until cooked. Chew thoroughly on an empty stomach, wash down with thin porridge and wine. Effective in ten days.
Rongrong Wan (from *Ji Sheng*) Treats kidney deficiency deafness, or wind pathogen entering meridians causing virtual tinnitus.
Rongrong (soaked in wine, baked), Shanzhuyu rou, Shilongrui, Shichangpu, Tusizi (soaked in wine, steamed, baked), Qianghuo, Lurong (remove hair, steam in wine, bake), Shihu (remove roots), Cishi (fire-quenched in vinegar, water-sifted), Fuzi (processed. Each 1 liang), Quanxie (de-venomed, 7 pieces), Shexiang (half zi, added freshly).
Pulverize into powder, mix with honey to make pills sized like tung seeds. Take 100 pills per dose, with salt wine or salt water on an empty stomach.
Yishen San Treats kidney deficiency deafness.
Cishi (processed), Jiquan, Chuanjiao (open-mouthed, each 1 liang), Shichangpu, Chenxiang (Each 0.5 liang).
Pulverize into fine powder. Take 2 qian per dose. Cut one pig kidney finely, mix with scallion white, a little salt, and medicine. Wrap in ten layers of wet paper, roast until fragrant and cooked. Chew thoroughly on an empty stomach, take with warm wine.
Bushen Wan Treats kidney deficiency deafness.
Jiquan (remove heart), Ganjiang (processed), Shaoyao, Shanzhuyu, Guixin, Yuanzhi (remove heart), Xixin, Tusizi (wine-processed), Zexie, Shihu, Huangqi, Shengdihuang, Danggui, Chuangsuzi, Mudanpi, Rongrong (soaked in wine), Renshen, Fuzi (processed), Gancao (Each 2 liang), Shichangpu (1 liang), Fuling (0.5 liang), Fangfeng (1.5 liang), Yangshen (2 kidneys).
Pulverize into fine powder. Pound sheep kidneys finely, make pills with wine-boiled flour paste, sized like tung seeds. Take 50 pills per dose, with salt wine on an empty stomach.
Rongrong Wan Treats kidney deficiency deafness.
Rongrong (soaked in wine, baked), Tusizi (soaked in wine, ground separately), Shanyu, Bai Fuling (remove skin), Renshen, Guanzi Gui (remove rough bark), Fangfeng (remove branches), Shudihuang, Shaoyao, Huangqi (Each 0.5 liang), Fuzi (processed, remove skin and navel), Qianghuo (remove rhizome), Zexie (Each 2.5 qian), Yangshen (one pair, thinly sliced, remove fascia, dry-fried).
Pulverize into fine powder, mix with refined honey to make pills sized like tung seeds. Take 30 pills per dose, with warm wine on an empty stomach.
Sangpiaoxiao Tang Treats deficiency-induced deafness.
Sangpiaoxiao (10 pieces, fried), Danggui, Baizhu (soaked in rice water, fried), Bai Fuling (remove skin), Guanzi Gui (remove rough bark), Fuzi (processed), Mujingzi, Cishi (fire-quenched in vinegar), Changpu (soaked in rice water, baked), Shengdihuang (baked. Each 1 liang), Dahuang (cut, fried), Xixin (remove seedlings), Chuanxiong, Mudanpi (Each 0.5 liang).
Cut into small pieces. Take 3 qian bi per dose. First decoct one pig kidney in three bowls of water to obtain one bowl of juice. Remove kidney, add herbs, decoct to 0.7 portion. Strain, take warm before meals.
Bawei Wan Treats deafness and virtual tinnitus.
Take 49 high-quality Quanxie, stir-fry until slightly yellow, grind to powder. Take 3 qian per dose, mixed with warm wine, followed by 100 pills of Bawei Wan on an empty stomach. Effective after only three doses. (Formula see Hongjiaojiao.)
Yangshen Wan Treats kidney deficiency deafness, or qi injury from fatigue, stroke deficiency, kidney qi rising but not descending, or virtual tinnitus.
Shanzhuyu, Ganjiang, Chuanba Ji, Shaoyao, Zexie, Beixixin, Tusizi (soaked in wine), Yuanzhi (remove heart), Guixin, Huangqi, Shihu, Shengdihuang, Fuzi, Danggui, Mudanpi, Chuangsuzi, Gancao, Rongrong (soaked in wine), Renshen (Each 2 liang), Changpu (1 liang), Fangfeng (1.5 liang), Fuling (0.5 liang).
Pulverize into powder. Pound two sheep kidneys finely, make pills with wine-boiled flour paste, sized like wutong seeds. Take 30-50 pills before meals with salt wine. Immediate effect.
Anshen Wan Treats weakness-induced deafness.
Da Anshen Wan (4 liang), Cishi (0.5 liang, vinegar-quenched), Shichangpu, Qianghuo (Each 0.5 liang).
Grind the three ingredients into powder, mix and make pills sized like wutong seeds. Take 40-50 pills per dose, with salt water or warm wine.
Dihuang Wan Treats labor-induced deafness.
Da Shudihuang (wash, bake), Danggui, Chuanxiong, Lagui, Tusizi (soaked in wine for three days, steamed dry, ground), Da Chuanjiao (sweated), Guozhi (fried), Baijili (fried, pounded to remove thorns), Hulusiba (fried), Duzhong (ginger-processed, fried to remove fibers), Baizhi, Shichangpu (Each 2.5 qian), Cishi (fire-burned, vinegar-quenched seven times, ground fine, water-sifted, 3.75 qian).
Pulverize all ingredients into fine powder, mix with refined honey to make pills sized like wutong seeds. Take 50 pills per dose, swallowed with scallion white and warm wine on an empty stomach. Take another dose before dinner.
[Shen Re]
Dihuang Tang (from *Ben Shi*)
Shengdihuang (1.5 liang), Zhike, Qianghuo, Sangbaipi (Each 1 liang), Cishi (crushed, washed with water 30-20 times until red juice is gone, 2 liang), Gancao, Fangfeng, Huangqin, Mutong (Each 0.5 liang).
Grind into coarse powder. Take 4 qian per dose, decoct in water, strain. Take 2-3 times daily.
[Fei Xu]
La Dan Wan (from *San Yin*) Treats virtual deafness.
Bai Fuling (2 liang), Shanyao (fried, 3 liang), Xingren (fried, 1.5 liang, remove skin and tips).
Grind the three ingredients into powder, mix evenly. Melt 1 liang of beeswax and mix to form pills sized like bullets. Chew with salt water. Some people only chew beeswax finely and swallow with good Jiancha tea, which is also effective.
Shanyao, Fuling, and Xingren all enter the Taiyang channel. Shanyao greatly tonifies yin qi, while Xingren promotes qi movement, representing tonification with unblocking. For those with shortness of breath and dry throat, chew with Maidong, Renshen, and Wuweizi decoction.

Tongqi San
Huixiang, Muxiang, Quanxie, Yanhusuo, Chenpi, Changpu (Each 1 qian), Qianghuo, Jiangcan, Chuanxiong, Chantui (Each 0.5 qian), Shanjia (2 qian), Gancao (1.5 qian).
Pulverize into powder. Take 3 qian per dose at any time, mixed with warm wine.
Fuyuan Tongqi San Treats deafness due to qi stagnation, abdominal abscesses, anal abscesses, non-suppurating sores, relieving pain and reducing swelling.
Qingpi, Chenpi (remove white pith. Each 4 liang), Gancao (3.5 cun, fried), Lianqiao (1 liang).
Pulverize into powder, take mixed with hot wine.
Changpu San
Shichangpu (10 liang, preferably 1-cun segments with nine nodes), Cangzhu (5 liang, raw).
Cut into chunks, place in a bottle, soak in rice water for seven days. Remove Cangzhu. Steam only Changpu in a steamer for three shichen. Remove, dry, and grind to fine powder. Take 2 qian per dose, mixed with glutinous rice drink, three times daily. Alternatively, shape steamed material into finger-sized chunks, hold in mouth after meals, chewing occasionally to swallow saliva.

Tongshen San
Quanxie (one piece), Dilong, Tougou (Each two pieces), Mingfan (half raw, half calcined), Xionghuang (Each 0.5 liang), Shexiang (one zi).
Pulverize into fine powder. Take a small amount, dip in scallion white, and introduce into the ear. Hold breath facing the wall, sit for one shichen. Once every three days.
Tong'er Fa
Cishi (use dense pieces, bean-sized), Shanjia (burned to retain nature, powdered, one zi).
Wrap the two ingredients in new cotton, insert into the affected ear. Hold a small piece of raw iron in the mouth. Cure when wind and rain sounds are felt in the ear.
Zhuifeng San
Lilu, Xionghuang, Chuanxiong, Shichangpu, Quanxie, Baizhi, Huoxiang, Ebushicao, Bohe, Kudingxiang (Equal parts), Shexiang (a little).
Pulverize into fine powder. Snuff a small amount into the nose. If Ebushicao is unavailable, add a little Pian Nao.
Bimawan
Bimazi (remove shell), Songzhi, Huangla, Xingren (remove skin, twin kernels, fried. Each 0.5 liang), Ruxiang, Shiyán, Badou (fried. Each 2.5 qian).
Pound into paste, roll into jujube pit shapes, wrap thinly in beeswax. Poke 2-3 holes through both ends with a large needle. Insert into ear. Cure when yellow fluid discharges overnight.
Tou'er Tong
Jiaomu, Badou, Changpu, Songzhi (Each 1 qian).
Pulverize into powder, spread thinly, roll into tubes. Insert into ear. Change once daily.
Xionghuang San
Xionghuang, Fangfeng, Fanshi, Shichangpu, Wutou, Chuanjiao (open-mouthed, fried to release sweat, each 2.5 qian), Dazao he (10 pieces).
Pulverize into powder. Place a bullet-sized piece of mugwort in an incense burner. Place half a qian bi of Huangbai powder on the mugwort. Cover with 2 qian bi of the drug powder. Ignite and fumigate the ear.
Another Prescription
One bean, three cats, no oil extracted. A little true Shexiang is used.
Refined honey makes pills wheat-grain sized. Wrapped in cotton, inserted into the ear.
Jiyu Dan Gao
Jiyu dan (one piece), Wüli zhi (a little), Shengyou (0.5 liang).
Mix evenly, place in a scallion tube for seven days. Drip into the ear.
Xeshao Gao
Xeshao (seven pieces, baked), Danshi (21 grains, select large ones, baked dry), Badou (seven grains, remove heart membrane, keep oil).
First grind Xeshao and Danshi finely. Separately grind Badou into paste. Mix uniformly, knead into small jujube pit shapes. Use the small end of a scallion white to make a hole, insert one pill, wrap tightly in thin cotton. Place in ear at bedtime, remove after one night. Repeat if not cleared, until cleared.
Shudan Wan
Zengqing (1 qian), Longnao (0.5 qian), Lingxiaohua (3 qian).
Pulverize into fine powder. Snuff one zi into the nose. Then drip mouse bile into the ear. Plug with cotton immediately. Remove from evening until cockcrow.
Jidan Fang
Fresh chicken egg (one piece), Badou (one grain, remove heart membrane).
Make a hole on top of the egg, insert Badou. Seal with two layers of paper pasted with flour dough. Incubate with other eggs until chicks hatch. Extract juice, drip into ear twice daily.
Moxibustion Formula for Deafness
Take a piece of Cangzhu, 0.7 cun long. Sharpen one end, flatten the other. Insert the sharp end into the ear. Place a moxa cone the size of a chopstick head on the flat end. Moxa 7 cones for mild cases, 14 for severe cases. Effective when heat is felt in the ear.
Another Prescription
Place carp brain in a bamboo tube, steam it where rice is being cooked until melted. Inject into the ear. Another prescription uses raw material, wrapped in cotton and inserted into the ear.
Another Prescription: Dip carp bile into the ear.
Another Prescription: Take one sheet of wax paper, cut into four pieces. Roll each piece tightly around a chopstick. Remove chopstick. Insert the wax paper roll into the ear and ignite.
