Jinchuang (metal weapon injuries) often damage the meridians and collaterals, leading to blood loss and qi depletion. If the wound has not yet healed, the blood and qi remain deficient. If sexual intercourse is engaged in under these circumstances, causing emotional arousal and the release of yin and yang energies, the shock may disturb the wound, resulting in the re-bleeding of blood and fluids.
Jinchuang (metal weapon injuries) injure the blood and deplete the qi. Qi is governed by the Lung; when wind pathogens invade the Lung, coughing occurs.
Jinchuang (metal weapon injuries) involving blood loss cause the meridians and collaterals to become empty and exhausted, with insufficient body fluids. This leads to deficiency and dryness in the Kidney, resulting in thirst.
If Jinchuang (metal weapon injuries) fail to heal for a long time, or if bandaging is improper, the internal tissue of the wound becomes necrotic, leading to the generation of parasites/worms.
When a Jinchuang (metal weapon injury) is dry without exudate and does not swell significantly, it indicates Wind invasion. If Cold pathogens penetrate deeply into the Zang organs, they trigger Jing disease (spasm disorder characterized by stiffness and convulsions), which carries a poor prognosis with few recoveries. Injuries contaminated by water result in swelling, excessive exudate, or suppuration.
This swelling arises because the wound is exposed to Wind, and the Wind pathogen combats with the healthy Qi.
Regarding Jinchuang (metal weapon injuries): in winter, when clothing is thick and warm, bandages should be light; in summer, when clothing is thin and cool, bandages should be dense. Excessive cold damages Ying Qi (nutritive Qi circulating within the vessels), while excessive heat damages Wei Qi (defensive Qi circulating outside the vessels). Sinew strain causes contraction and knotting; flesh strain causes alarm-like swelling; bone strain leads to fracture and severe pain, making flexion and extension difficult; vessel strain results in transformation into pus; obstruction of Ying and Wei Qi leads to stagnation and the formation of carbuncles.
When initially suturing a wound, one must consider longitudinal and transverse directions. The "Chicken Tongue and Corner Separation" technique involves staggered needle entry where horizontal alignment is not direct. Suturing follows specific principles aligned with Yin and Yang; upper and lower points follow reverse and smooth paths, responding to urgency and slowness. Yang channels attach to Yin, and Yin channels attach to Yang, restoring the normal state of pores, skin, and vessels. Ignorance of these methods leads to simple single-line suturing; this causes blockage of Yin and Yang, preventing suppuration but allowing stagnation to form carbuncles due to obstructed Ying and Wei Qi. Sleeplessness day and night and disordered speech indicate severity; failure to remove bone fragments portends a fatal outcome. Improper "Chicken Tongue and Corner Separation" angles lead to misalignment; hair loss and loss of mental clarity are signs of critical condition. Failure to re-suture or re-apply medicinal plasters worsens the prognosis.
