1. Posture of Single Hand Holding Up the Sky. This posture follows the previous one. Stand with both feet resting against each other in a "Ding" (T-shaped) stance. Place the left hand on the waist, between the upper thigh and the greater trochanter (hip bone). Extend the right arm from between the right thighs, stretch the shoulder and straighten the upper arm, pushing upward against resistance to the top of the head and face. Simultaneously, direct the right hand toward the sky, looking up at the back of the palm, aligning the back of the right palm with the instep of the right foot. Focus the gaze and concentrate the spirit. Perform three breaths, guiding the Qi in a reverse flow. The heels, both knees, as well as the left arm and left shoulder must remain upright and not relaxed. Upon completion of breathing, proceed smoothly to the next posture.

2. Posture of Flipping Hand and Drawing Sword. This posture follows the previous one. Apply force with the right hand to rotate it around the head once, moving from front to back, then from back forward to the right shoulder hollow. Clench the right hand into a fist. With one exhalation and one inhalation, lift and level the Qi. Proceed smoothly to the next posture. The remaining methods are the same as before.

3. Posture of Opening Bow and Shooting Arrow. This posture follows the previous one. Release the left hand, extend the palm flatly, and follow the momentum to stretch the shoulder and straighten the upper arm, pushing leftward against resistance until level with the shoulder. Then retract according to the momentum. Change the feet into a "Ding" stance facing left, stabilize the heels, and erect the waist and spine. Push the bent left wrist and the right flat palm outward to both sides, resembling drawing a bow. Rotate the head to the left, focusing the gaze on the left palm. Position the bent right wrist opposite the left palm. Maintain single-minded concentration and focus the spirit. Perform three breaths to guide the Qi in a forward flow. Finally, strike out with the right fist and proceed smoothly to the next posture.
Image: Opening Bow and Shooting Arrow \pt151A30.bmp\r
After completing these three postures, repeat the sequence starting with the left side for Single Hand Holding Up the Sky, the right side for Flipping Hand and Drawing Sword, and Opening Bow and Shooting Arrow, thereby completing the full set of exercises. All methods remain identical. Only the positions of hands, feet, palms, fists, and the direction of Qi are reversed: what was previously directed to the right is now directed to the left, and vice versa. The upper body should remain upright throughout; neither side should be neglected. After completing the six postures, proceed smoothly to the next posture.
4. Posture of Horizontal Shoulders in One Line. This posture follows the previous one. Open the fist and flatten the palm. Plant the heels firmly on the ground. Palms face downward, backs of hands face upward. Push forcefully to both left and right sides. Perform one breath. Proceed smoothly to the next posture. The remaining methods are the same as before.

5. Posture of White Crane Flashing Wings. This posture follows the previous one. Lift the heels off the ground. Stretch the shoulders and straighten the arms. Press down with both Yin palms (palms facing down) to shoulder level. Lean the upper body forward, nearly touching the ground, approximately one chi away. Exhale once. Immediately stretch the shoulders and straighten the arms again. Flip to Yang palms (palms facing up), raise them to shoulder level, and push straight upward as before. Inhale once. Repeat the pressing down and rising up motions, grounding the heels three times consecutively. The rest remains the same as before.

6. Posture of Offering Pestle and Gathering Qi. After rising and straightening the arms following the White Crane Flashing Wings posture, bring both palms forward to embrace. Perform one breath, gathering the Qi as if standing upright in the Offering Pestle posture. Proceed to the next posture. The remaining methods are the same as before.
