\r握固还原势图\pt151A206.bmp\r

According to the diagram of sitting exercises, crossing the dorsum of both feet on top of the thighs is called "Heaven Plate" (Tianpan), also known as Double Lotus (Shuangda). For those whose knees and legs are not yet flexible enough, Single Lotus (Danpan) may be practiced; if even Single Lotus is impossible, temporarily adopt "Earth Plate" (Dipan), which involves sitting cross-legged with soles of the feet pressing against each other. Over time, one can achieve a position where one foot rests in the groin crease and the other foot is flipped onto the thigh, forming Single Lotus. Once the legs become more supple, slowly flip the foot that was resting in the crease onto the thigh to form Double Lotus, thereby completing the Heaven Plate posture. This conforms to the proper sitting stance. However, do not force it; proceed step by step, and you will undoubtedly reach high spiritual realms.
1. Grasping the Solid (Wogu) and Contemplating Spirit (Sishen) Posture. In this posture, place the sole of the left foot on the right thigh and the sole of the right foot on the left thigh (Double Lotus). Place the left palm flat on the chest with the palm facing up. The right hand forms a fist (Grasping the Solid: thumb pressing the root of the ring finger) and rests on the left palm. Straighten the spine, gaze levelly forward, aligning the ears, shoulders, nose, and chest remotely. Clench the jaw tightly, elevate the tongue to touch the palate (Qiaoqiao), and during breathing, let Qi exit from below and enter from above. The essence of moving Qi through the Nine Diagrams gathers here. Previously, Essence was transformed into Qi; now, Qi is returned to Spirit. After three cycles of Qi circulation, the lower postures are initiated.
2. Palms Joined and Crossed Legs (Hezhang Fujia) Posture. The leg positioning is the same as before. The upper body mimics the "Offering Staves" (Xianzhu) starting posture from the Front Body Diagram. Breathe three times to condense Qi within the Five Zang Organs.
3. Two Hands Pushing the Door (Shuangshou Tuimen) Posture. The leg positioning is the same as before. The upper body mimics the "Extending Claws and Revealing Wings" (Chuzhao Liangchi) shape from the Front Body Diagram. Extend both palms forward as if pushing open a door. Breathe three times to allow Qi to connect with the Hundred Vessels.
4. One Ball of Harmonious Qi (Yituan Heqi) Posture. The leg positioning is the same as before. The upper body mimics the "Two Phoenixes Gazing at the Sun" (Shuangfeng Chaoyang) shape from the Front Body Diagram. Breathe three times to make Qi lively, smooth, harmonious, and integrated.
5. Extending Arms and Regulating Meridians (Shengong Limai) Posture. The leg positioning is the same as before. The upper body mimics the "Flying Eagle Spreading Wings" (Feiying Zhanchi) shape from the Front Body Diagram. Breathe three times, extending the arms to regulate Qi and infuse the Hundred Vessels.
6. Empty Lifting to Open the Stomach (Xutuo Kaiwei) Posture. The leg positioning is the same as before. The upper body performs an empty lifting motion upwards, mimicking the "Two Hands Holding the Pagoda" (Shuangshou Tuota) shape from the Front Body Diagram. Breathe three times to promote the free flow of Stomach Qi.
7. Bearing Weight to Secure the Armpits (Fuzhong Guye) Posture. The leg positioning is the same as before. The upper body mimics the "Three Peaks Standing" (Sanfeng Zhili) shape from the Front Body Diagram. Flip both palms upward as if bearing weight. Breathe three times to secure the armpits.
8. Soothing Liver and Regulating Lung - Left Side (Shugan Lilfei Zuo) Posture. The leg positioning is the same as before. The upper body mimics the "Dragon Probing with Right Claw" (Long Tan Youzhua) shape from the Front Body Diagram. Breathe three times to regulate Lung Qi.
9. Soothing Liver and Regulating Lung - Right Side (Shugan Lilfei You) Posture. The leg positioning is the same as before. The upper body mimics the "Dragon Probing with Left Claw" (Long Tan Zuozhua) shape from the Front Body Diagram. Breathe three times to soothe Liver Qi.
10. Sitting Cross-legged with Horizontal Arms (Panzuo Henggong) Posture. The leg positioning is the same as before. The upper body mimics the "Horizontal Arms Squatting/Standing" (Henggong Dunli) shape from the Front Body Diagram. Breathe three times to circulate Qi within the four limbs.
11. Sanjiao Reaching Benefit - First Posture (Sanjiao Dali Diyi Shi). The leg positioning is the same as before. The upper body mimics the "Three Talents Communicating Qi - First Posture" (Sancai Tongqi Diyi Shi) from the Front Body Diagram. Breathe once to condense Qi in the Upper Jiao.
12. Sanjiao Reaching Benefit - Second Posture (Sanjiao Dali Dier Shi). The leg positioning is the same as before. The upper body mimics the "Three Talents Communicating Qi - Second Posture" from the Front Body Diagram. Breathe once to infuse Qi into the Lower Jiao.
13. Sanjiao Reaching Benefit - Third Posture (Sanjiao Dali Disan Shi). The leg positioning is the same as before. The upper body mimics the "Three Talents Communicating Qi - Third Posture" from the Front Body Diagram. Breathe once to store Qi in the Middle Jiao.
14. Sanjiao Reaching Benefit - Fourth Posture (Sanjiao Dali Disi Shi). The leg positioning is the same as before. The upper body mimics the "Three Talents Communicating Qi - Fourth Posture" from the Front Body Diagram. Breathe once to open and unblock the Middle Jiao.
