(At three cun distal to the wrist crease, the [Luo-Connecting] vessel of the Hand-Taiyang Small Intestine channel diverges and enters the Taiyin channel; one branch ascends along the forearm, traverses the shoulder, and reaches the jaw angle near the teeth, while another branch enters the ear to converge with the Zong vessels. In excess conditions, there is dental caries and deafness; in deficiency conditions, there is cold sensation in the teeth and bi-syndrome with obstruction. Treatment involves selecting the point where this Luo vessel diverges. The Luo-Connecting vessel of the Hand-Shaoyang Sanjiao channel is named Waiguan (TE5, Outer Pass), located two cun distal to the wrist crease. It winds around the arm externally and pours into the chest, converging with the Pericardium channel. Excess conditions manifest as spasm of the elbow; deficiency conditions manifest as inability to grasp or hold objects. Treatment involves selecting the point where this Luo vessel diverges. The Luo-Connecting vessel of the Foot-Taiyang Bladder channel is named Feiyang (BL58, Flying Yang), located seven cun distal to the medial malleolus. It diverges and travels to the Shaoyin channel. Excess conditions manifest as rhinorrhea, nasal congestion, headache, and back pain; deficiency conditions manifest as rhinorrhea or epistaxis. Treatment involves selecting the point where this Luo vessel diverges. The Luo-Connecting vessel of the Foot-Shaoyang Gallbladder channel is named Guangming (GB37, Bright Light), located five cun distal to the medial malleolus. It diverges and travels to the Jueyin channel, descending to network the dorsum of the foot. Excess conditions manifest as jue syndrome (cold extremities); deficiency conditions manifest as flaccidity syndrome, where the patient sits but cannot stand. Treatment involves selecting the point where this Luo vessel diverges. The Luo-Connecting vessel of the Foot-Yangming Stomach channel is named Fenglong (ST40, Abundant Bulge), located eight cun distal to the medial malleolus. It diverges and travels to the Taiyin channel; one branch follows the lateral border of the tibia, ascends to network the head and nape, converges with the qi of all channels, and descends to network the throat. Disease manifestations include qi rebellion leading to sore throat and hoarseness; excess conditions manifest as mania and cephalalgia at the vertex; deficiency conditions manifest as inability to control the feet and emaciation of the shins. Treatment involves selecting the point where this Luo vessel diverges. The Luo-Connecting vessel of the Foot-Taiyin Spleen channel is named Gongsun (SP4, Ancient Grandson), located one cun posterior to the base of the first metatarsal bone. It diverges and travels to the Yangming channel; one branch enters and networks the intestines and stomach. Rebellion of jue qi leads to huoluan syndrome (acute vomiting and diarrhea); excess conditions manifest as severe cutting pain in the intestines; deficiency conditions manifest as abdominal distension like a drum. Treatment involves selecting the point where this Luo vessel diverges. The Luo-Connecting vessel of the Foot-Shaoyin Kidney channel is named Dazhong (KI4, Great Bell), located behind the medial malleolus, winding around the heel. It diverges and travels to the Taiyang channel; one branch runs parallel upward to the pericardium and descends externally through the lumbar spine. Disease manifestations include qi rebellion leading to restlessness and oppression; excess conditions manifest as urinary retention; deficiency conditions manifest as lower back pain. Treatment involves selecting the point where this Luo vessel diverges. The Luo-Connecting vessel of the Foot-Jueyin Liver channel is named Ligou (LR5, Calamus Ridge), located five cun above the medial malleolus. It diverges and travels to the Shaoyang channel; one branch runs along the shin to the testis, knotting at the penis. Disease manifestations include qi rebellion leading to testicular swelling and sudden hernia; excess conditions manifest as priapism; deficiency conditions manifest as sudden pruritus. Treatment involves selecting the point where this Luo vessel diverges. The Luo-Connecting vessel of the Ren Mai (Conception Vessel) is named Wei Yi (CV15, Tail Feather), descending from Jiwei (CV15) and dispersing in the abdomen. Excess conditions manifest as pain in the abdominal skin; deficiency conditions manifest as itching and scratching. Treatment involves selecting the point where this Luo vessel diverges. The Luo-Connecting vessel of the Du Mai (Governor Vessel) is named Changqiang (GV1, Long Strength), flanking the spinal muscles to ascend to the neck, dispersing on the head, and descending to the area between the scapulae. It diverges to travel to the Taiyang channel and enters to pierce the spinal muscles. Excess conditions manifest as rigidity of the spine; deficiency conditions manifest as heaviness of the head. When shaking the head, locate the abnormal points along the sides of the spine. Treatment involves selecting the point where this Luo vessel diverges. The Large Luo-vessel of the Spleen is named Dabao (SP21, Great Wrap), emerging three cun below Yuanxi (LI8? Note: Text says Yuanxia, likely referring to axillary region context, standard is under axilla) and spreading over the chest and hypochondrium. Excess conditions manifest as generalized body pain; deficiency conditions manifest as laxity of all joints. These vessels, resembling a net-like network of blood, are all treated by selecting the Large Luo-vessel of the Spleen. Generally, for these fifteen Luo vessels, excess conditions will necessarily manifest visibly on the surface, while deficiency conditions will necessarily sink inward. If they are not visible upon inspection, seek them above and below, as human meridians differ, and the divergence points of the Luo vessels vary.
