Taiyang Bladder and Small Intestine channels, with less Qi and more Blood, benefit from tonification along the meridian circulation. Yangming Stomach and Large Intestine channels, with abundant Qi and Blood, require sedation via lifting-thrusting combined with rubbing; operate near the epigastrium and beside the Large Intestine. Taiyin Spleen and Lung channels, with less Blood and more Qi, involve downward scraping accompanied by trembling. Shaoyang Gallbladder and Sanjiao (Triple Burner) channels, with less Blood and more Qi, utilize rubbing combined with lifting-thrusting for tonification. Shaoyin Kidney and Heart channels are located in the palm area. Jueyin Liver and Pericardium channels, with less Qi and more Blood, respond well to both sedation and tonification. Selection of points follows the upper and lower limbs and hands/feet, based on meridian theory, detailing the internal mechanisms of Qi and Blood. Master Qiongyao swore a solemn oath not to reveal this secret lightly; violation brings punishment and threatens life.
First, select bilateral Fuliou (KI7), Taichong (LR3), and Waiguan (TE5).
Initially apply "Qi Ascending" technique once, rub the needle dozens of times, perform tonification seven times, rub again dozens of times, then tonify three times. Sweat emerges slightly. For heavier stimulation, rub vigorously dozens of times, apply "Qi Ascending" again, press heavily while holding breath five times, rub vigorously dozens of times, then apply "Qi Descending" to Fuliou with heavy pressing once. If sweating persists, select bilateral Hegu (LI4), using upward pressing three times, lifting-thrusting three times, and scraping seven times to stop sweat; apply "Qi Ascending" to Fuliou with heavy insertion, pressing, scraping, and tonification; the effect of stopping sweat is miraculous.
This method is subtle; there are additional flexible variations that should not be rigidly analyzed. The first session corresponds to thirty respiratory cycles, the second to twenty-five.
First, select bilateral Quchi (LI11) and Neiguan (PC6).
Apply "Qi Ascending" to one point, tonify three times, rotate clockwise seventeen times, rub along the meridian three times, rub the needle several times, apply "Qi Ascending" again, rotate horizontally to reverse blood flow, rub extensively, repeating forty-nine times. Do not overlap insertion and pressing; pause twice, slightly guide Qi downward. Withdraw the needle outward to cause Qi and Blood disorder. Rub the right side forty-nine times, hold breath three times, then allow Qi to descend. During Qi descent, scrape, rub, press, and tremble to harmonize. Apply "Qi Ascending," pause breathing, apply "Qi Descending," rub the right side seven times, press three times. Remove the needle.
First session: thirty degrees; second: fifty degrees; third: twenty-five degrees; retain for five degrees.
First, select bilateral Zusanli (ST36), Neiting (ST44), and Zhaohai (KI6).
Apply "Qi Ascending," rub along the meridian three times, scrape downward seven times, tremble and lift-thrust heavily seven times, tonify three times, tonify-lift-thrust three times, add rubbing twenty to thirty times. If heat is present, activate the mechanism. Then use lifting to guide Qi downward once, lift and grasp to guide Qi upward once, apply "Qi Ascending" twice, continuously guide Qi downward three times, rub heavily dozens of times, flick the needle several times until it falls out naturally. If the needle does not fall out, apply "Qi Ascending," rub several times, lift along the meridian three times, continuously guide Qi downward twice. The effect is immediate and miraculous.
First session: sixteen degrees; pause until thirty degrees; tonification and sedation use thirty degrees. Neiting requires frequent flicking; bleed left for men, right for women. Men bleed from the left foot; women bleed from the right foot; follow this method.
