Abdominal "Er Xun" technique facilitates Qi movement; when needling, rotate the needle clockwise and employ scraping/searching methods to disperse pathogenic factors. If scraping and rotating fail to eliminate pathogens, the old disease remains unresolved, and new ailments may arise.
Needling the abdomen is most difficult; urgently tap the needle handle seven times to dissipate stagnant blood and Yang Qi. If pathogenic factors at the acupoint are removed via scraping and searching, abdominal distension will immediately subside, restoring health.
If intestinal sounds (Qi movement) are not heard after abdominal manipulation, urgently apply the "Sheng Yin" (Ascending Yin) method to guide Qi to the heart/chest region. Then, use the "Qi Shang" (Qi Ascending) method combined with grasping, rubbing, and trembling techniques; repeated rubbing causes Yin Qi to descend and sweat to flow. If sweat appears on the feet, apply pressing and lifting techniques to the two abdominal needles. After three lifts and three presses, if the soles of the feet feel cold, urgently employ harmonizing techniques to induce spontaneous sweating.
For stroke-induced aphasia, use the "Qi Shang" method. Apply twisting manipulation to Zhongchong (PC 9), observing floating/sinking sensations. Yongquan (KI 1) is the key point for the "Sheng Yang" (Ascending Yang) method; regulating Qi prevents further invasion of disease.
For turbid nasal discharge (Bi Yuan/Chronic Rhinitis), first apply the "Qi Shang" method for recovery. For cephalalgia due to wind causing visual blurring, the combination of Sheng Yang, rubbing, and pressing is effective without deviation.
For cephalalgia, vomiting, and visual blurring, apply rubbing and pressing to Baihui (GV 20). Perform circular manipulation at Zhongwan (CV 12) to gather Qi from Qihai (CV 6); apply bleeding therapy at Yintang (EX-HN 3) followed by heavy moxibustion.
For stiffness and pain in the head and neck with difficulty turning, apply rubbing to Baihui (GV 20), then needle Chengjiang (CV 24). Subsequently, use the "Qi Xia" (Qi Descending) method to guide Qi to Lüxi (Note: likely a specific or variant point name, possibly referring to Taixi or local experience point). Rub Fengfu (GV 16) until warm to ensure head comfort.
For lateral and frontal cephalalgia, select bilateral points. Apply finger-assisted manipulation at Baihui (GV 20). Use ascending/descending Yin-Yang methods at Fengchi (GB 20); needle Shugu (BL 65) twice to unblock Qi.
There are two types of lateral and frontal cephalalgia: 1) Phlegm-dampness at Zhongwan (CV 12) requires circular pressing; 2) Asthma at Danzhong (CV 17) requires sedation; 3) Cephalalgia at Yintang (EX-HN 3) is relieved by bleeding; 4) Facial paralysis (deviation of mouth and eye) uses the "Qi Xia" method. Rub Dicang (ST 4) to ascend Yang; for left-sided lesions, ascend Yang and rub; for right-sided lesions, descend Yin and carefully rub finger-related points.
For loss of smell, add rubbing. Apply Sheng Yang at Yingxiang (LI 20) with finger assistance. Follow clear upper-then-lower sequence; with golden needle, rubbing ensures prior Qi unblocking.
For deafness, ascend Yang. If painful, ascending Yang restores hearing. If painful with sinking Qi, descend Qi and ascend Yin; continuous downward guidance and ascending Yin naturally unblocks Qi.
For sudden aphasia and speech difficulty, apply Sheng Yang, lifting, rubbing, and tapping to Siguan (Hegu LI 4 and Taichong LR 3). Deeply needle Zhongchong (PC 9) by one-tenth cun, add twisting, and apply minor bleeding for relief.
For sudden eye pain with bloodshot eyes, lifting/scraping/tapping at true points is difficult. Rub Taiyang (EX-HN 5) to release toxic blood; avoiding forced Qi ascent allows spontaneous relief.
For glabellar pain, add rubbing. Rub Shenting (GV 24) to generate heat. If using Sheng Yang, lifting, and pressing, natural harmony occurs even if wind strikes temporarily.
