Dazhong (KI11), Zhong [acupoint], Shimen (CV5), Chengshan (BL57), Taichong (LR3), Zhongwan (CV12), Daxi (KI4), Chengjin (BL56) mainly treat difficult defecation. (From *Qianjin Fang*) Kunlun (BL60) mainly treats inability to pass stool. Huangshu (GB25) mainly treats dry stool. Severe abdominal pain. Shiguan (ST22) mainly treats fecal impaction. Cold qi accumulation. Hardness and fullness in the heart region. Chengshan (see entry for muscle cramp). Daxi (see entry for cold damage with no sweating) treats difficult defecation. (From *Tongren Shuxue Zhenjiu Tujing*) Dazhong (see entry for strangury), Shiguan treats constipation with astringency. Huangshu treats dry stool. (See entry for lower back pain) Zhongzhu (ST24) treats heat in the lower abdomen. Hard, dry, and unsmooth stool. Dabai (ST44) treats lower back pain accompanied by difficult defecation. Taichong treats cold feet accompanied by difficult defecation. Shiguan, Bladder Shu (BL28) treat abdominal pain accompanied by difficult defecation. (From *Mingtang Jiu Jing* Vol. 2) For difficult defecation, moxa is applied one cun lateral to the seventh thoracic vertebra, seven moxa cones on each side. (From *Qianjin Fang*) Additionally, three moxa cones are applied to Chengjin (BL56). For obstipation, four moxa cones are applied to Dadun (LR1). For fecal impaction with qi stagnation and hardness/fullness in the heart region, one hundred moxa cones are applied to Shimen (CV5). (For other contents, see *Qianjin Fang*). For abdominal masses and constipation, a cake made of croton seed flesh is placed in the umbilicus, and three moxa cones are applied; this immediately relieves the condition and is miraculous. Qiyu's honey suppository method treats severe constipation. (See detailed description in *Jisheng Fang*)
Fenglong (ST40) mainly treats difficult and astringent urination and defecation. (*Mingtang Jiu Jing* agrees). Fuxi (GB35) treats heat in the small intestine. Accumulation in the large intestine. (See entry for tendon tension). Bladder Shu (BL28) treats difficult urination and defecation. Red urine. (*Mingtang Jiu Jing*) Jiaoxin (KI8) treats difficult urination and defecation. In a case of sudden cold damage where both urination and defecation were blocked, I administered Wuling San (Five-Ingredient Poria Decoction), resulting in the patency of both. Although Wuling San primarily promotes diuresis, the reason the stool also became loose is that body fluids were generated. If urination is patent but defecation remains obstructed, honey suppositories should be used to guide the passage of stool. (From *Biyong Fang*. For elderly women suffering from constipation, porridge boiled with sesame seeds and perilla seeds is best.)
