Acupuncture and moxibustion methods for neonatal umbilical wind (Neonatal tetanus) and clenched mouth (Clenched jaw), when all medications are ineffective: Needle Ran Gu (Rangu, KI7) to a depth of 3 fen, or apply moxibustion for 3 moxa cones; immediate effect is expected (Source: *San Yin Fang*).
Epilepsy and convulsive disorders: Moxa Shen Ting (Shenting, GV24) for 7 cones. At the depression 3 fen above the hairline on the nasal root (near Shang Xing, GV23), apply 3 cones with moxa cones the size of a wheat grain; additionally, select Bai Hui (Baihui, GV20) (Source: *Ben Cao Gang Mu*).
Epilepsy with spasms: Governed by the Yang Qiao Mai (Yang Heel Vessel) and Yin Qiao Mai (Yin Heel Vessel). For males, treat the Yang Qiao Mai point Shen Mai (Shenmai, BL62); for females, treat the Yin Qiao Mai point Zhao Hai (Zhaohai, KI6). If attacks occur during the day, treat the Yang Qiao Mai; if at night, treat the Yin Qiao Mai. Apply 14 cones to each (Source: *Yi Lao*).
Acute and chronic infantile convulsions: Moxa Yin Tang (Yintang, EX-HN3). In critical cases where moxibustion is contraindicated, first apply 2 cones on the blackened skin area near both nipples, left side for males and right side for females. Next, apply 1 cone each to the hairline, between the eyebrows, and Bai Hui (Baihui, GV20). Bind the thumbs of both hands and feet together in one place. Apply moxibustion at the junction of the nail and flesh on the thumb/toe, closer to the left side for males and right side for females, halfway between the nail and flesh, for 3 cones. Treat feet before hands. This method treats various types of epilepsy, using moxa cones the size of a wheat grain (Source: *De Xiao Fang*).
For slow infantile convulsions or slow spleen wind presenting with adverse syndromes unresponsive to drugs: If the Tai Chong pulse is still palpable, select Bai Hui (Baihui, GV20) for moxibustion, which yields miraculous results (Source: *Zhi Zhi Fang*).
Sudden death-like state in infants with blue-black abdominal skin: Moxa five points around the navel—upper, lower, left, and right, each 0.5 cun from the navel—and one point 1 cun below the Jianwei bone (Xuwu, CV10). Apply 5 cones to each point. Afterwards, smear the abdomen with Hu Fen (Lead Carbonate) mixed with wine, replacing it when dry (Source: *De Xiao Fang*).
Infantile kyphosis ("Turtle Back"): Moxa Fei Shu (Feishu, BL13) and Ge Shu (Geshu, BL17), 5 cones per point, stopping when the cone size is like a wheat grain (Source: *De Xiao Fang*).
Infantile pectus carinatum ("Turtle Chest"): Select six points located 1.5 cun anterior to both nipples, two rows upward, in the intercostal spaces. Apply 3 cones to each point, with moxa cones the size of a wheat grain. In spring and summer, moxa from bottom to top; in autumn and winter, from top to bottom. Failure to follow this direction renders the treatment ineffective (Source: *Ben Cao Gang Mu*).
Unclosed fontanelle: Moxa two points, 0.5 cun above and 0.5 cun below the umbilicus, 3 cones each. The fontanelle will close before the moxa blisters appear (Source: *Ben Cao Gang Mu*).
Infantile pi qi (abdominal masses): Moxa Zhong Wan (Zhongwan, CV12) and Zhang Men (Zhangmen, LR13), 7 cones each (Source: *Ben Cao Gang Mu*).
Specific method for treating pi qi: Locate the points on the mid-back along the spine. Starting from the coccyx, palpate both sides of the spinal column for areas where white tendons become active. These are the two points. Press each point with three copper coins. Place a moxa cone into the hole created by the coin pressure and apply 7 cones per point. This is the root of the mass and the pathway of blood circulation (Source: *Hui Chun*).
Chronic infantile malaria unresponsive to treatment: Moxa Nei Ting (Neiting, ST44) for 1 cone. Da Zhui (Dazhui, GV14) and Bai Hui (Baihui, GV20) are treated with "Sui Nian Zhuang" (cones equal to the child's age in years) (Source: *Ben Cao Gang Mu*).
Infantile cholera: For males, moxa the upper aspect of the second toe of the left foot; for females, the right foot. Apply 3 cones for immediate cure (Source: *De Xiao Fang*).
Infantile nyctalopia ("Sparrow Eye"): Moxa 1 cun posterior to the nail of both thumbs, at the radial border of the transverse crease, in the transition to white flesh, 1 cone each. For eyes affected by gan syndrome (malnutrition): Moxa He Gu (Hegu, LI4), 1 cone each (Source: *Ben Cao Gang Mu*).
Infantile rectal prolapse: Moxa 1 cone above the tip of the coccyx, 3 cones at the center of the umbilicus (Qihai, CV8 - *Note: Text says Qi Zhong*), and 7 cones at Bai Hui (Baihui, GV20) (Source: *Ben Cao Gang Mu*).
