Five types of hemorrhoids (Wuzhi) accompanied by blood in stool, urinary incontinence, and pain in the sacrococcygeal region: Moxibustion on Weiqionggu (Tailbone) for 100 moxa cones; Sanbai (Three Whites) for 37 moxa cones, located among other acupoints; Zhibian (Rank Edge) is located below the 20th thoracic vertebra, 3.5 cun lateral to the midline on both sides, moxibustion for 3 moxa cones.
Intestinal wind with bloody stool and hemorrhoids: Moxibustion on Sanbai for 37 moxa cones; Chengshan (Supporting Mountain) is located above the heel, in the depression between the bellies of the gastrocnemius muscle, moxibustion for 5 moxa cones, which is highly effective. Alternatively, moxibustion on the spine directly opposite the umbilicus for 37 moxa cones, and 37 moxa cones on both sides, 1 cun lateral to this point. Also, moxibustion at 1.5 cun lateral to both sides below the 14th thoracic vertebra for 14 moxa cones; this method is most effective for chronic cases.
Hemorrhoidal papilla protrusion: Moxibustion on the protruding fleshy part of the hemorrhoid for 100 moxa cones will flatten it, which is highly effective.
To treat hemorrhoids, an ancient method states: Let the patient stand barefoot upright, place a bamboo pole vertically against the ground, measure from the umbilicus and break the bamboo at that length. Move the bamboo backward to align with the coccyx, mark the spot with ink. From this mark, measure down one cun and perform moxibustion for 50 moxa cones; this method is invariably effective.
Kidney qi deficiency, often staying in cold places and consuming cold foods, creates a condition described as "like a stone thrown into water."
Hernia qi rushing up to the heart and abdomen causing severe pain and difficulty breathing: Moxibustion on Taichong (Great Surge) and Neitaichong (Inner Great Surge) for 3 moxa cones each; Duyin (Sole Yin) for 5 moxa cones; Jiageen (Nail Root) needled 1 fen and moxibustioned for 3 moxa cones. Neitaichong and Jiageen are located among other acupoints, and acupuncture/moxibustion here is highly effective.
Ben Tun Qi (Rushing Pig Qi) circling the umbilicus and rushing upward: Moxibustion on Zhaohai (Shoal Sea) and Taichong for 3 moxa cones each; Duyin for 5 moxa cones; Shimen (Stone Gate) for 7 moxa cones. Also, moxibustion at 6 cun below the umbilicus, 1 cun lateral on both sides, for 37 moxa cones. Additionally, measure the width of the mouth like the character 'One', divide into three folds forming a circle shape. Place one corner at the center of the umbilicus, the other two corners at the ends laterally below the umbilicus; these are the points, moxibustion for 14 moxa cones. For retracted and hard testes on both sides, use cross-point selection (left disease treated on right, right on left), moxibustion on Qichong (Qi Rush) for 7 moxa cones.
Hernia qi rushing to the heart: Make a cake with holes using flour and water, place it on the umbilicus, fill with 5 fen thick fried salt, and moxibustion with large cones until slightly warm, ranging from 100 to 500 moxa cones. After moxibustion in spring and autumn each year, stay in a sealed room for nine consecutive days, avoid going out, sexual activity, alcohol, and cold foods; this is highly effective.
Impotence: Moxibustion on Ran Gu (Running Valley) for 3 moxa cones; Yingu (Yin Valley) and Sanyinjiao (Three Yin Intersection) for 3 moxa cones each; Qichong for 37 moxa cones; Qugu (Curved Bone) for 37 moxa cones; Shenshu (Kidney Transporter) according to age; Gaohuangshu (High Influence Transporter) for 100 moxa cones; Ququan (Spring Curve) for 7 moxa cones, located at the head of the transverse crease on the medial side of the knee.
Penile pain: Moxibustion on Dadun (Great Earth), Taichong, Shenshu, and Yinjiao.
Penile swelling and protrusion: Moxibustion on Qugu, Dadun, Qichong, Duyin, Yinqiao (Yin Heel), and Kunlun.
Hernia qi circling the umbilicus and rushing to the chest: Moxibustion on Qihai (Sea of Qi), Shimen, Taichong, and Duyin. If alternating treatments cause pain everywhere, moxibustion on Tianshu (Heavenly Pivot) for 100 moxa cones, located 2 cun lateral to either side of the umbilicus.
Treating hernia: Have the patient straddle a pestle axis, extend the penis onto the axis aligned with the glans, mark the position, and perform moxibustion on the wood of the axis according to age-related moxa cone counts; this is effective.
Five types of strangury (Wulin): Moxibustion on Fuliou (Returning Flow), Jiegu (Bone Separation), Taichong, Qihai, and Zhongji (Central Pole) for 100 moxa cones; Qugu in the depression above the pubic bone near the hairline, moxibustion for 7 to 49 moxa cones.
Lithiasis strangury (Shi Lin): Moxibustion on Qichong, located 2 cun lateral to the umbilicus, straight down 5 cun, then 1 cun above the femoral artery pulsation in the groin area, moxibustion for 7 to 27 moxa cones.
Another prescription: Use a stalk of grain to measure the width of the patient's mouth like the character 'One'. Place one end at the tip of the coccyx, extend upwards, and mark the spine where the stalk ends. Break the stalk in half, mark the middle, and place it horizontally across the spine. Moxibustion at the ends of the stalk on both left and right sides for 37 moxa cones.
White turbid urine: Moxibustion on Zhaohai, Qimen (Gate of Liver), Yinqiao, Shenshu, and Sanyinjiao.
