Acupuncture treatment of the Huantiao (GB30) acupoint concerns the safety and stability of both lower limbs (from *Zisheng Jing*). For leg and knee spasmodic pain, or withered and blackened muscles, select Fengshi (GB31), Yanglingquan (GB34), Ququan (LR8), and Kunlun (BL60) (from *Gangmu*). For stiffness and pain in the thighs and shins, select Fengshi (GB31), Zhongdu (GB37), Yangguan (EX-LE5), and Xuanzhong (GB39) (from *Gangmu*). For knee pain accompanied by foot convulsions, select Huantiao (GB30), Xuanzhong (GB39), Juliao (GB29), and Weizhong (BL40) (from *Gangmu*). For thigh pain and shin soreness, select Yanglingquan (GB34), Jiegu (GB39), Zhongfeng (LR4), Zulinqi (GB41), Zusanli (ST36), and Yangfu (GB38) (from *Gangmu*). For pain on the medial aspect of the knee, select Xiguan (EX-LE6), Taichong (LR3), and Zhongfeng (LR4) (from *Gangmu*). For pain on the lateral aspect of the knee, select Xiaxi (GB43), Yangguan (EX-LE5), and Yanglingquan (GB34) (from *Gangmu*). For pain affecting all five toes, select Yongquan (KI1) and Ranggu (KI2) (from *Gangmu*). The disease known as Hongxiangjiao (Hongxiangjiao [Jiaoxie/Foot Qi]) is most suitable for acupuncture; however, moxibustion is contraindicated if there are signs of heat (from *Zisheng Jing*). When Hongxiangjiao first manifests, moxa should be applied sequentially to Fengshi (GB31), Fubu (ST32), Dubi (ST35), Zusanli (ST36), Shanglian (ST37), Xialian (ST38), and Jiegu (GB39). Daily moxibustion should be performed, with a standard of one hundred moxa cones per session (from *Zisheng Jing*). For damp-heat type Hongxiangjiao presenting with redness, swelling, and sores, select Zhongfeng (LR4), Yangfu (GB38), Fengshi (GB31), and Jiegu (GB39) (from *Zisheng Jing*). To treat Hongxiangjiao, select the tips of the ten toes, named Qiduan (Qi Duan), located one fen away from the nail corner (odd number measurement). Apply three moxa cones daily for miraculous effects (from *Zisheng Jing*). For pain in the center of the knee, needle Dubi (ST35) (from *Gangmu*). For knee swelling, use fire-needle therapy on Zusanli (ST36); the swelling will vanish instantly. Additionally, select Xingjian (LR2) (from *Zisheng Jing*). For rapid relief of Hongxiangjiao, quickly moxa Fengshi (GB31) and Zusanli (ST36) to drain toxic vapors (from *Zisheng Jing*). For weak and emaciated legs, select Zusanli (ST36) and Jiegu (GB39); Jiegu (GB39) is miraculously effective for treating foot diseases (from *Zisheng Jing*).
For acupuncture treatment of various Shan (Shan [Hernia]), select Guanyuan (CV4), apply thirty-seven moxa cones, and apply seven moxa cones to Dadun (LR1) (from *Defang*). Dadun (LR1) primarily treats pain from the seven types of Shan (Shan [Hernia]) (from *Gangmu*). The general method for treating various Shan (Shan [Hernia]) involves selecting Dadun (LR1), Xingjian (LR2), Taichong (LR3), Zhongfeng (LR4), Ligou (LR5), Guanmen (ST15), Guanyuan (CV4), Shuidao (ST28), Sanyinjiao (SP6), and Zusanli (ST36) (from *Gangmu*). For sudden onset of Shan (Shan [Hernia]) with testicular swelling and acute pain, select Ligou (LR5), Dadun (LR1), Yinshi (ST33), Zhaohai (KI6), Xiaju Xu (ST39), and Xiaochangshu (BL27) (from *Gangmu*). For retraction and pain of the genitals, moxa Zhongfeng (LR4) (from *Zisheng Jing*). For Hushan (Hushan [Fox Hernia]), select Taichong (LR3), Shangqiu (SP5), Dadun (LR1), and Ligou (LR5) (from *Gangmu*). For women suffering from Shanjia (Shanjia [Masses/Hernia]) pain, the treatment is the same as for Hushan (Hushan [Fox Hernia]); select Tianjing (TE10), Rib Tip (Li Jian), Qihai (CV6), and Zhongji (CV3) (from *Gangmu*). For Bladder Qi disorders, select Weizhong (BL40) and Weiyang (BL39) (from *Gangmu*). for Small Intestine Qi disorders, moxa Fengshi (GB31) and Qihai (CV6); moxa Duyin (EX-CA1); select Taichong (LR3); additionally, moxa two points located 1.5 cun left and right of the umbilicus, each receiving seven moxa cones for immediate effect; these points are named Wailing (Wai Ling) (from *Defang*). For various Shan (Shan [Hernia]) causing rebellious Qi rushing upward to the point of suffocation, moxa Duyin (EX-CA1) for miraculous effects (from *Defang*). For unilateral Shan (Shan [Hernia]) descent, select Daju (ST26), Diji (SP8), Zhongji (CV3), Zhongfeng (LR4), Jiaoxin (KIO7), and Yongquan (KI1) (from *Gangmu*). Another method: measure the patient's mouth angle width as one cun using a stalk, break it, and repeat until three segments form a triangle like "△". Place one vertex at the center of the umbilicus, and the other two vertices at the ends below and to the sides of the umbilicus. These are the acupoints. Moxa the opposite side (right for left deviation, left for right deviation); moxing both sides is also harmless. Apply forty moxa cones for miraculous effects (from *Gangmu*). Qichong (ST30) specifically governs Shan (Shan [Hernia]) (from *Zisheng Jing*). For Shuishan (Shuishan [Water Hernia]), select Lanmen (ST25) and Sanyinjiao (SP6) (from *Gangmu*). For Shan (Shan [Hernia]) caused by lifting heavy objects, moxa the blue veins located three cun lateral to both sides of Guanyuan (CV4), seven cones, for immediate cure (from *Zisheng Jing*). If the kidney is enlarged like a measuring vessel but painless, select Dadun (LR1) and Sanyinjiao (SP6); for Mushen (Musen [Wood Testis]) presenting with redness, swelling, and pain, select Ranggu (KI2) and Lanmen (ST25) (from *Gangmu*). For wind-damp itching of the kidneys involving the umbilicus, select Xuehai (SP10) and Sanyinjiao (SP6) (from *Gangmu*). The section on needling Shan (Shan [Hernia]) in the *Neijing* refers to the method described in the *Ling Shu*: using a Pi needle (Pi Zhen [Bistoury]) to drain fluid from the scrotal sac. This method is widely known today. If the scrotum is as large as a bucket, containing several sheng of turbid fluid, it confirms that this method originates from antiquity (from *Gangmu*).
