There are cases where individuals raising livestock contract diseases caused by Gu poison (a traditional concept referring to venomous or parasitic poisoning). The general diagnostic method is as follows: Symptoms of Gu poisoning include severe pain in the heart and abdomen, feeling as if teeth are biting inside, or vomiting and defecating blood. If not treated immediately, the Gu poison will consume the five Zang organs (Heart, Liver, Spleen, Lung, Kidney), and death will ensue when they are fully consumed. To determine whether it is Gu poison, ask the patient to spit into water; if the saliva sinks, it is Gu poison; if it floats, it is not. (From *Waitai Miyao*, Vol. 28)
Formula for treating Gu poisoning.
Use pig bile (*Sus scrofa domesticus* Gallbladder) for enema to guide the lower part; this is very effective. (From *Waitai Miyao*, Vol. 28)
