The tip of the tongue is swollen, filling the mouth, hard as wood, and immobile. This is Mu She (Wooden Tongue). Use the flesh of Ricinus communis seeds (Bimazi), mash it, extract oil onto paper, roll the paper into a strip, ignite it, blow out the flame, and smoke the tongue with the smoke until the swelling subsides. If the sublingual area swells, puncture it with a silver needle to release blood, apply soot from a cooking pot (soot from burning grass is better) mixed with salt and vinegar thickly; reapply after removal. Alternatively, mix with water for application.
