Whenever fox spirits or monsters cause disturbances and harass people, write the six characters "Guan Sheng Da Di (Grand Emperor Guan) is here" with a cinnabar brush and paste them on. If they still do not leave, sincerely worship and pray at the Temple of Guan Sheng; they will surely depart. Alternatively, establish an altar for the Heavenly Lord of Thunder who Responds to Prayers and Transforms Universally (Jiu Tian Ying Yuan Lei Shen Pu Hua Tian Zun), enshrine it in the main hall, and worship and pray sincerely. Or go to the Temple of the Thunder God to pray; all evil spirits and monsters will retreat. This is because Lord Guan and the Thunder God can subdue evil demons, and sincere prayers will be answered.
