Treating disharmony of cold and heat in zang-fu organs, irregular diet, or excessive consumption of raw/cold/fishy foods, irregular lifestyle, sleeping exposed on damp ground, or exposure to wind-cold. This causes wind-cold qi to return to the Sanjiao (Triple Burner), transmitting to the Spleen and Stomach. The Spleen and Stomach become cold, unable to digest grains, leading to conflict between healthy qi and pathogenic factors, intestinal and stomach weakness, disorder of food/digestion causing vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and rebellious qi of cholera. Cases include heart pain preceding vomiting, abdominal pain preceding diarrhea, simultaneous vomiting and diarrhea, fever/headache/body ache followed by vomiting/diarrhea and empty irritability, only vomiting/diarrhea with stabbing abdominal pain, muscle cramps/spasms, vomiting without expulsion, cold limbs with faint pulse, or suffocation/despair from irritability. This medicine treats all these.
