Treats wind deficiency, warm-cold pathogens, and pathogenic factors entering the zang organs, resulting in delirious speech,妄语 (delirium), and mental confusion. When Liver Wind erupts, the face turns cyan, there is chest oppression, vomiting with frothy saliva, vertigo, deafness to human voices, hemiplegia with tendon contraction, and a curled-up posture. When Heart Wind erupts, the face turns red, sudden heat occurs, sadness and anger arise, and the eyes are wide open. When Spleen Wind erupts, the face turns yellow, the body feels numb and insensible, walking is impossible, food lacks taste, dreams are chaotic, and one feels as if following the dead. When Lung Wind erupts, there is coughing with reversed qi, expectoration of pus and blood, and extreme shortness of breath. When Kidney Wind erupts, the face turns black, hands and feet are immobile, lower back pain prevents bending and stretching, accompanied by cold bi syndrome and bone pain. This condition causes heart palpitations, unstable will, mental trance, and forgetfulness. Taking this formula calms the mind, stabilizes the spirit, sharpens hearing and vision, and unblocks the zang-fu organs. It applies to various wind diseases.
Bai Xian Pi (Dictamni Cortex), Bai Zhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Shao Yao (Paeoniae Radix), Gui Xin (Cinnamomi Ramulus), Chuan Xiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Dang Gui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Xing Ren (Armeniacae Semen Amarum, boiled, skin and tips removed), Fang Feng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, twigs removed), Zhi Gan Cao (Prepared Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma). Each ingredient in equal amounts. The ingredients are chopped into a powder. Take 4 qian per dose, add 1.5 sheng of water, 7 slices of fresh ginger, and 2 jujubes, decoct, and take warm.
Treats hemiplegia in men and women, stubborn numbness of hands and feet, deviation of the mouth and eyes, phlegm-saliva obstruction, and all types of wind diseases where other medicines fail. Also treats infantile convulsions, adult head wind, brain-washing wind, and women's blood wind.
Ban Xia (Pinelliae Rhizoma, 7 liang), Chuan Wu (Aconiti Radix, 1 liang), Bai Fu Zi (Typhonii Rhizoma, 2 liang), Tian Nan Xing (Arisaematis Rhizoma, 3 liang), Tian Ma (Gastrodiae Rhizoma, 1 liang), Quan Xie (Scorpio, 5 qian), Fang Feng (Saposhnikoviae Radix). Grind all into powder. Form pills using ginger juice and glutinous rice paste, sized like wutong seeds. Take 10-20 pills each time, swallowed at any time with light ginger soup. For paralysis wind, take with warm wine.
Treats stroke suddenly occurring, resembling drunkenness, with a heavy and confused body, limbs unable to move or hold objects, salivary tide rising upwards, and blockage of qi in the diaphragm.
Zhu Ya Zao Jiao (Gleditsiae Fructus Spina, 4 strips, select plump ones without wormholes, remove black skin), Bai Fan (Alumen, 1 liang, select bright quality). Grind both into powder. For mild cases, use half a qian; for severe cases, use an amount equivalent to three characters (approx. 1.5-2 qian). Mix with warm water and administer via gavage. As long as it does not cause severe vomiting, but only slightly expels 1-2 sheng of cold saliva, the patient will regain consciousness, followed by gradual recovery.
