Zhuyu Tang (Blood-Invigorating Decoction)
Promotes the free flow of urine and feces, expelling black stasis.
Ingredients: Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong), Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (Baizhi), Rehmanniae Radix Recens (Sheng Gan Dihuang), Paeoniae Radix Rubra (Chishao), Trogopterori Faeces (Wulingzhi), Aurantii Fructus (Zhi Zhiqiao), Corium Colla Jovis (Chao Ejiao), Curcumae Longae Rhizoma (Wei Ezhu), Poria (Fuling), Poria cum Radice (Fushen).
Crush into a powder. Take 3 qian per dose, with one bowl of well water, three slices of fresh ginger, and three spoons of honey. Decoct and take orally. Stop when bowel movement is unobstructed. This formula is generally applicable for pain caused by blood stasis.

Baiyu Dan (White Jade Pill)
Treats chronic intestinal hemorrhoids with bleeding that have not responded to other medications.
Ingredients: Arsenolite (Han Shui Shi) (quantity as needed).
Calcine until red-hot, grind into fine powder, and purify by water flotation. Calcine again in a silver vessel until red-hot. Use glutinous rice paste to make pills, sized like sophora seeds. Take 50-60 pills per dose, washed down with aged rice decoction.

Huanglian Ejiao Wan (Coptis and Donkey-Hide Gelatin Pill)
Clears heat and regulates blood. Take with Zhike San (Aurantii Fructus Powder). (See section on Diarrhea and Women's Fetal Protection.)

Huaijiao Wan (Sophora Fruit Pill)
Treats wind-induced hemorrhoids, internal parasitic infestation, tenesmus, and passage of pus and blood. Relieves itching and pain, reduces swelling and accumulation, dispels damp-toxicity, and cures the root cause. (Formula details follow.)

Gange Tang (Pueraria Decoction)
Specifically treats alcohol-induced dysentery.
Ingredients: Puerariae Lobatae Radix (Baigan Ge), Aurantii Fructus (Chao Zhiqiao), Pinelliae Rhizoma (Banxia), Poria (Fuling), Rehmanniae Radix Recens (Sheng Gan Dihuang), Prunus Armeniaca Semen (Xingren) (each 0.5 liang); Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Praeparata (Zhi Gancao) (each 1 liang).
Crush into a powder. Take 3 qian per dose, with 100 black soybeans, five slices of ginger, and one white plum. Decoct and take orally.

Kuanchang Wan (Intestine-Widening Pill)
After applying Wuhui Gao (Five Ashes Ointment) to hemorrhoids, or when there is constipation due to organ blockage, use this medicine to widen the intestines. (See Wuhui Gao formula below.)
Ingredients: Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian), Aurantii Fructus (Zhiqiao) (equal parts).
Grind into powder, use wheat paste to make pills sized like sophora seeds. Take 50 pills per dose, fasting, washed down with rice water.

Secret Formula
Rapidly effective for treating various hemorrhoids.
Take a small amount of Alum (Baifan) and Realgar (Xinshi), calcine on a new tile, grind into powder, add a little Cinnabar (Zhusha), and mix into a paste with fresh well water. Apply to the affected area. If applied excessively... (Text incomplete in original).

Another Prescription
Boil white ramie fiber from Sichuan Baizhi to make thread. Quickly tie it tightly around the hemorrhoid; slight pain is acceptable. The hemorrhoid will naturally dry up, atrophy, and fall off, healing within seven days.

Wuhui Gao (Five Ashes Ointment)
Treats all accumulated toxins in the viscera manifesting as hemorrhoids, regardless of duration. Effective for shapes resembling rooster combs, lotus flowers, walnuts, or cow's milk, whether internal or external.
Ingredients: Buckwheat Ash (Qiaomai Hui, 7 sheng), Jingchai (Thorn Branch), Jichai (Thistle Branch), Shanbaizhu (Mountain White Bamboo), Laoshanzhi (Old Fir Branch).

Fumigation Formula
Ingredients: Skin (approx. 3 fingers square), Realgar (Xionghuang, size of a date, ground), Prepared Mugwort (Shuai Ai, size of a chicken egg).
Grind into powder. Use a bottle, fill half with ash. Arrange like incense burning. Place inside a high bucket. Sit on top, ensuring no smoke leaks out, allowing smoke to exit through the mouth.

Washing Formula
Decoct Sophorae Flower (Huaihua), Schizonepetae Herba (Jingjie), Aurantii Fructus (Zhiqiao), and Artemisiae Argyi Folium (Aiye) in water. Add Alum (Baifan) for fumigation and washing.

Another Prescription
Ingredients: Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian), Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin), Mustard Seed (Jingjie), Cnidii Fructus (Shechuangzi) (each 1 liang), Platycladi Cacumen (Ce Baiye, 4 liang), Sophorae Ramulus (Huaitiao), Commelinae Herba (Jingmian Cao), Scorpion (Hebang), Grass (Yicao) (each one handful).
Decoct thoroughly with fresh well water. Pour into a basin for fumigation first, then wash with hands once temperature is suitable.

Lianzi San (Lotus Seed Powder)
Ingredients: Lotus Seeds (Lianzi, 14 pieces), Herb Sprout Tea (Caoya Cha, 14 pieces), Frankincense (Ruxiang) (quantity according to the first two herbs).
Pound the three ingredients together. Roast thoroughly wrapped in paper. First wash the affected area with Huanglian Tang (Coptis Decoction), then apply the medicine directly.

Mubie San (Momordica Seed Powder)
Ingredients: Momordicae Semen (Mubiezi), Fermented Tea Cake (Baiyao Jian).
Equal parts, grind into coarse powder. Take one handful per dose. Wrap in cloth and decoct in water. Store in a bucket, cover with a lid leaving a small hole. Fumigate with steam first, then wash with hands.
