Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis) [remove the rhizome head, soak in wine], Chuanxiong (Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong), Baishao (Radix Paeoniae Alba) [each 3 qian], Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix) [do not roast over fire], Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata) [roasted, each 1.5 qian], Zhike (Fructus Aurantii Immaturus) [remove the pith, stir-fry with bran], Xuxiang (Olibanum) [separately ground, each 3 qian), Xuyurong (Cinis Capillis) [hair ash 1.5 qian, mixed with pig heart blood].
Grind the above into a fine powder. Take 2 qian per dose, add one lamp of water, decoct until eight-tenths remain. Administer twice daily, at any time.
Question 18: What causes sudden qi collapse, eye rolling, and jaw locking during labor? Answer: This is due to excessive emotional fluctuations of joy and anger, leading to the exhaustion of Wei Qi (Defensive Qi) and the withering of Ying Blood (Nutritive Blood). The fetus moves with difficulty.
Shetui (Serpent Skin) [one strip, placed in a tile or porcelain jar], Qianlima (Old straw sandal from the left foot found on the road, washed clean, burned to ash 1 qian), Yinbo (Folium Argenti) [each seven pieces], Fayr (Cinis Capillis) [1 qian], Mingtuican Tui (Mantis Egg Case and Silkworm Molting Skin, burned to ash 1 qian), Xuxiang (Olibanum) [0.5 qian, separately ground], Heiqian (Plumbum) [2.5 qian], Shuiyin (Hydrargyrum) [0.75 qian, prepared according to the method in Question 15].
Grind the above into a fine powder. Use pig heart blood to make pills the size of Sophora japonica seeds. Administer two pills with "reverse-flowing water." If swallowing is difficult, dissolve the pill and administer.
Treatise 1: What causes fetal death in the uterus due to febrile disease? Answer: When the mother suffers from a febrile disease, after six or seven days, the internal organs become extremely hot, steaming and cooking the fetus.
There are also contraindications and
immediate expulsion methods. Once it is certain that the fetus has died, administer Xianggui San (Cinnamon and Frankincense Powder). Within a short while, the dead fetus will be expelled as if pushed out by hand.
This formula treats all postpartum conditions.

Grind and sieve the above into a fine powder. Take 2 qian-bi (small spoonfuls) per dose, mix with warm wine and take orally. Another formula does not use Fuzi but adds Puhuang (Pollen Typhae); using both together is especially effective. Xianggui San (
