As long as one understands the importance of respecting teachers and valuing the Dao, students will always be able to maintain a good interactive relationship with me. Otherwise, in the future, meetings will feel like parting ways forever, and students will have nowhere to ask questions. This is what I am unwilling to see. A former student of mine, surnamed Hou, after studying *Tianji* (Heavenly Records), claimed externally that he learned it from an old gentleman he met on the streets of Beijing. Now he suffers from what Western medicine calls "Veterans Disease" (a condition affecting veterans, often involving chronic pain or fatigue), and is essentially waiting for death. Because he wronged me previously, he cannot come to me for treatment now, which is equivalent to harming himself to death. I hope such things do not happen again. As far as I know, this disease can currently only be cured by me, because I have successfully treated several patients who suffered from it. What should he do? My young assistant, Ms. Yu Wen, will assist in connecting with students. For all trivial matters regarding classes, please inform her. The teaching assistant during the study period is Guang You. If professional problems arise during learning that the assistant cannot answer, I will arrange time to answer them personally. Classes are recorded simultaneously. To allow me to speak continuously without interrupting my train of thought, students are prohibited from asking questions during class. Therefore, if you have questions during class, please write them down first, and they will be answered afterwards. I will ensure that all students have no doubts and can come to class happily and excitedly every time. Questions arising from professional knowledge are acceptable, but questions regarding personal or relatives' diseases will not be answered. My main purpose for returning to Taiwan this time is to teach Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for cultural inheritance, aiming to revive the lost spirit of true TCM, not to treat illnesses. I hope students do not push their luck, so that we can all get along pleasantly.

After the vast and profound teaching of *Renji* (Human Records) is completed, I will publish it. From then on, mediocre doctors will have nowhere to hide. Only doctors who can truly cure diseases will exist in the world. People will no longer face threats from diseases, nor will there be situations where pharmaceutical companies, for profit, exacerbate the situation by describing diseases as terrifying to threaten patients into not stopping medication, causing harm to future generations. Everyone will live and work in peace and contentment, full of zest, with families filled with descendants.

How to Know if Your Disease is Cured?

So far, whether using any method of treatment, few TCM or Western doctors can be certain that a patient's disease is completely cured. Therefore, Western medicine generally uses survival rates to persuade patients, leading to concepts like five-year or ten-year survival rates. Coupled with the abuse of unfounded data by Western medicine to deceive the public, no doctor has dared to truly say "your disease is cured." Furthermore, the Southern School of Warm Diseases (Wenbing) in TCM is disappointing. Unable to treat diseases themselves, they immediately refer severely ill patients to Western medicine, adding at the patient's deathbed, "This disease should be primarily treated by Western medicine, with TCM as auxiliary." Such absurd fallacies not only expose their own incompetence but also drag everyone else down, including me. I refuse to sit with such incompetent TCM practitioners. To clarify that I am different from those in the Wenbing school, I have to reveal some medical knowledge originally accessible only to students in the *Renji* class. If readers go to TCM colleges in the United States to learn TCM, the method they teach for treating cancer is simple: just send the patient to Western medicine. These TCM practitioners from mainland China, being from the Wenbing school and unable to cure diseases, open schools to make money. They are not only misleading students but also bringing shame to TCM abroad; it is utterly rotten.

Being a good doctor is simple: one must know what a normal person is and what the definition is.

Currently, TCM practitioners from the Wenbing school in mainland China, like modern Western medicine, rely on test reports. As long as blood tests show all indices are normal, they say you are normal. Let me tell you how bad this is: this is fundamentally not something orthodox TCM should say. In other words, TCM practitioners who say this are not TCM practitioners at all; at best, they are mere followers of Western medicine, let alone true TCM doctors.

Now, let the truly orthodox TCM practitioners in the private Health Department define for the public: What is a normal person? I name it the "Ni's Six Criteria." A normal person must exhibit six major physiological phenomena daily. These six sensations are: First, a normal appetite: neither overeating nor lack of appetite, enjoying food, with normal feelings of satiety and hunger for three meals a day. Second, the first thing upon waking up every morning is to defecate; if not, attention should be paid. Third, urinating five to seven times a day; naturally, urine volume decreases in summer due to sweating and increases in winter due to less sweating, with urine color being pale clear yellow. Fourth, sleeping soundly through the night every day, without insomnia or waking up无故 (without reason) in the middle of the night. Fifth, regardless of north or south in all four seasons, feet must be exposed outside the blanket when sleeping at night; covering them makes one feel unbearably hot, with a long-term sensation of cold head/face and warm hands/feet. Sixth, having a "Yang reaction" every morning upon waking: men experience erections, and women feel sensitivity in both breasts.

Why must physicians know these six symptoms possessed only by healthy people? Simply put, first, we can judge whether a patient is improving or deteriorating during treatment based on these six symptoms. Today, whether the physician uses surgery, chemotherapy, or Cobalt-60 irradiation, if the patient exhibits these six symptoms afterward, I can say the treatment is effective; conversely, it is ineffective. For example, if a leukemia patient inevitably suffers from cold hands and feet, insomnia, loss of appetite, and severe constipation at onset, and after Western medicine bone marrow transplantation or chemotherapy, the patient's hands and feet become warm, sleep improves, bowel movements become smooth, and appetite recovers, it represents effective treatment, and recovery is imminent. However, if the opposite occurs—the more they are treated, the more constipated, insomniac, appetite-less, and colder their hands and feet become—it indicates ineffective treatment and worsening condition. I have seen countless cancer patients until now. All said that after Western medicine treatments, their hands and feet became colder, appetite worse, insomnia heavier, and constipation present. Western medicine could only prescribe sleeping pills and laxatives for control, unable to allow autonomous sleep or defecation. Precisely for this reason, I am certain Western medicine treatments are ineffective. Patients taking prescriptions from Wenbing school TCM practitioners also did not exhibit these six symptoms, thus also ineffective.

Second, currently, the only ones in the world who can truly cure diseases are Jingfang (Classical Formula) practitioners. According to the definition of disease cure by Jingfang practitioners: generally divided into two categories. One is exterior syndromes (such as common cold); if the patient's appetite opens up greatly by noon the day after taking medicine, it means completely cured. Two is interior syndromes (internal medicine diseases, including various cancers); if the patient wakes up hungry in the middle of the night seeking food after taking TCM, it means the medicine has reached the lesion site, and the day of cure is imminent.

If your result after taking TCM is colder hands and feet, worse insomnia, and more constipation, it means you should change doctors. In other words, if you take the correct TCM, your body must feel the above six symptoms. When these six symptoms are very stable, it is time to stop medication. Why continue taking medicine if the disease is already cured? Many fools superstitious about Western medicine hold onto Western drugs and vitamins daily, yet rejoice that life-saving Western medicines were invented. Just ask them if their hands and feet are cold or hot; they will surely tell you they are cold. These idiots are gradually walking towards death without realizing it, living shorter lives the more they eat. Currently, I require patients I have cured (such as liver cancer, pancreatic cancer, leukemia, stomach cancer, etc.) to return for follow-up visits at regular intervals. I only need to ask if their hands and feet are hot or cold; I do not need their blood test reports. I do not believe blood test reports can explain anything. Any cancer patient exhibiting warm hands and feet and the other six phenomena is considered cured by Jingfang practitioners; if still cold, medication cannot be stopped.

Many patients experience vomiting, diarrhea, or whole-body skin itching while taking TCM. This is because, besides disease toxins, the patient's body also contains Western medicine toxins. It is an inevitable phenomenon when TCM enters the body and detoxifies. That is, the more toxins accumulated in the body, the more vomiting, diarrhea, or skin itching occurs. However, idiots who do not believe in TCM internally interpret this as TCM inefficacy or allergy, ignorant views. Little do they know that if they continue taking TCM, the disease will heal. That is, if you do not have these phenomena after taking TCM, there are only two possibilities: First, you never took Western medicine before; Second, you had taken many Western medicines or undergone chemotherapy before taking TCM. Therefore, if experiencing vomiting, diarrhea, or skin itching, it means you are taking the correct TCM, do not panic. If you don't believe it, simply give the same medicine to people around you; since they are not sick, they will not react to the same medicine. In the case below, a liver cancer patient's skin itched for about a month while taking TCM, so much so that he often couldn't sleep. After his skin slowly returned to normal, it meant the virus was completely expelled from the body.

Last week, a liver cancer patient came to see me, bringing a Western medical test report stating he was completely normal. Even holding it, I still asked him if these six symptoms were well, requiring all to be present to indicate complete cure, stability, and no recurrence. Once readers understand this simple self-diagnosis method, they can not only protect themselves but also immediately know which doctor is truly capable of curing their disease.

The above six symptoms look simple, but they contain the entire physiology of TCM within. In Taiwan, between the 60s and 80s, a highly incompetent Wenbing school practitioner named Ma Guangya emerged. Students entering China Medical College were excellent, yet founder Chen Lifu believed in this quack. This person misled students to learn the ineffective Southern TCM Wenbing academic theories. Meanwhile, after the Ten-Year Cultural Revolution (1966-1976) in mainland China, Northern Jingfang practitioners were persecuted, and the remaining elderly TCM doctors dwindled. Current TCM doctors in mainland China cannot even cure a common cold. During my return to Taiwan to select *Renji* class students, a student gave me a book titled *Thinking About TCM*. The author is Liu Lihong, a TCM PhD from mainland China. After studying Wenbing theory and then apprenticing to learn Jingfang, he discovered the absurdity and inefficacy of Wenbing theory and the rapid efficacy of Jingfang. Thus, he began to ponder what true orthodox TCM is. From his book, I know this gentleman is undoubtedly a good doctor. A good doctor requires not only quality but also conscience. This person has a strong conscience, admits mistakes, is willing to relearn, and travels everywhere to apprentice and learn Jingfang, achieving today's success. I applaud him. However, the earliest Jingfang comes from *Shanghan Zabing Lun* (Treatise on Cold Damage and Miscellaneous Diseases), the eternal masterpiece of the Medical Sage. During the Song Dynasty, the government established a printing bureau to reprint this book, dividing it thereafter into *Shanghan Lun* (Treatise on Cold Damage) and *Jinkui Yaolue* (Essential Prescriptions of the Golden Cabinet). Being split into two books led later generations to fail to see its full picture, resulting in conflicting theories and hundred schools of thought contending. Actually, these two books should not have been separated. The upcoming *Renji* class teaching aims to merge these two books back into one, restoring their original appearance. This is the only way to truly learn the essence of the Medical Sage Zhang Zhongjing. Therefore, this mainland doctor Liu can be said to have entered the door of Jingfang; to step fully inside, there is still a long way to go, but he is sufficient to be called a good doctor. His future prospects are limitless, surpassing other mainland TCM doctors by hundreds of times.

Another student gave me an original copy of Zhang Zhongjing's *Shanghan Zabing Lun*, reportedly from Guangxi, the original version, containing many clauses missing from currently published editions. I have not finished reading it and do not know if it is a complete version. But I am very happy that so many excellent Taiwanese people care about the content and whereabouts of our country's ancient texts. This action is wonderful. If there were more such people in Taiwan, how would the government be in its current state? I am just a tiny, insignificant TCM doctor. Seeing有心人士 (conscientious people) in Taiwan unremittingly promoting our inherent culture, such as Chen Tongdao in Caotun, Taichung, who is an extremely high-quality Jingfang practitioner, whose TCM level exceeds all mainland TCM doctors, a standard Jingfang practitioner, deeply respected and admired by me. I am glad that Taiwan still has such outstanding talents. I worry about failing to teach students well and misleading them, but fortunately, there are these strong hands, making me feel somewhat ashamed.
