Pound into pills the size of mung beans. Apply to the Bai Hui (CV20) or Xin Mei Xue (Acupoint at glabella), remove after one week, and throw into flowing water.

Equal parts of Hu Jiao (Black pepper) and Xiong Jing (Realgar) ground into powder. Mix with mashed rice to form pills, sized like paulownia seeds, coated with Zhu Sha (Cinnabar). Place one pill in the navel, cover with an external plaster. Symptoms will cease immediately.

Immediate effect for treating eye swelling. One liang of Sheng Di Huang (Rehmannia glutinosa root), five qian of Han Shui Shi (Halloysitum Rubrum), one liang of Huang Lian (Coptis chinensis rhizome). Grind into powder, mix with juice from Sheng Di Huang to form a cake, and apply to the Tai Yang acupoint (GB8).
