During pregnancy, if dysentery occurs with the discharge of red and white mucus, Jiajian Ejiao San (Modified Donkey-Hide Gelatin Decoction) can be taken.
Jiajian Ejiao San (Modified Donkey-Hide Gelatin Decoction)

If bloody dysentery is present, add Yutu (Sanguisorbae Radix); if white dysentery is present, add Aiyè (Artemisiae Argyi Folium) and Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix); if dysentery has persisted for a long time leading to deficiency, add Renshen (Ginseng Radix), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), and Huangqi (Astragali Radix).
By the tenth month of pregnancy, the fetus's physical form is fully developed. From the eighth month onwards, medicines that slim the fetus and facilitate delivery should be taken. Physicians nowadays often use Zhiqiao San (Bitter Orange Powder). If the maternal womb qi is robust or stagnant, this formula may be taken. However, since Zhiqiao and Dafupi (Arecae Pericarpium) have the effect of slimming the fetus, and fetal qi is naturally delicate, it is inappropriate to further weaken it. Instead, taking Wuyou San (Worry-Free Powder) or Dasheng San (Reaching Life Decoction) can calm the fetus, benefit qi, and ensure the fetus remains compact and healthy.
Baosheng Wuyou San (Life-Preserving Worry-Free Decoction)
Has the effect of facilitating smooth delivery (Huatai).

Dasheng San (Reaching Life Decoction)
Taking several doses during the eighth or ninth month of pregnancy yields good results, facilitating delivery and reducing abdominal pain.
Dosage: Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis), Baishao (Radix Paeoniae Alba), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma) (each 1 qian); Renshen (Ginseng Radix), Chenpi (Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae), Zisu (Perillae Folium) (each 5 fen); Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae, honey-fried) (2 fen); Dafupi (Arecae Pericarpium, washed) (1 qian).
Prepare as one dose, decoct with five stalks of green onion, and take orally. If the fetus is large and accompanied by asthma/dyspnea, add Zhiqiao (Fructus Aurantii, 8 fen) and Huangyangnao (Huangyang Brain/Seed, 7 pieces); these two are key herbs for slimming the fetus.
Add Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix) in summer; add Chuanxiong (Rhizoma Chuanxiong) in spring; add Sharen (Amomi Fructus) in winter; add Renshen (Ginseng Radix) and Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma) for qi deficiency; double Xiangfu (Cyperi Rhizoma) and Chenpi (Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae) for qi excess; double Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis) and add Shudi (Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata) for blood deficiency; add Chaihu (Bupleuri Radix) for irritability and anger; add Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix) for heat; add Huangyangnao (Huangyang Brain/Seed) for excessive hunger; add Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix) and Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma) for phlegm; add Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix) for abdominal pain.
In cases of "Ghost Pregnancy" (a condition resembling pregnancy with an abdomen distended like a pregnant woman, feeling like a jar is inside, and discharging foul fluids or intestinal water), Zhangui Dan (Ghost-Slaying Pill) can be taken.
