Swallowing acid differs from vomiting acid. Vomiting acid results from body fluids accumulating due to ascending qi stagnation; over time, dampness generates heat, transforming via fire, thus becoming acidic fluid that is vomited out. Swallowing acid arises from damp-heat stagnating in the Liver and manifesting externally, while lying latent between the Lungs and Stomach. One must self-nourish by consuming vegetables.
Treats swallowing acid or undigested retained food.
