If the pulse is fine, choppy, and weak during pregnancy, but becomes surging and rapid after delivery, it often indicates a fatal prognosis. A surging and rapid pulse is appropriate during pregnancy, while a fine pulse is auspicious after delivery; at this stage, treatment should focus on clearing heat and nourishing blood.
Additionally, Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma) and other herbs can be used...
This prescription is used to treat cases where, after the fetus has formed, there is a sensation of fetal instability, slight abdominal pain, lower back pain, or poor appetite. It is intended for long-term monthly use:
Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix Alba), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) (each 1 qian), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium) (each 0.5 qian), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), Sharen (Amomi Fructus), Zisu (Perillae Folium) (each 0.3 qian).
Add one and a half zhong of water, decoct, and take orally.
Another formula:

It is very effective when taken during the eighth or ninth month of pregnancy.
Dafulupi (Arecae Pericarpium) (2 qian, washed with wine), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium), Zisu Jingye (Perillae Caulis et Folium) (each 0.5 qian), Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix Alba), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) (each 1 qian), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) (roasted, 2 qian).
Take as one dose. Add one Huanyangnao (Stemonitis Rhizome or similar local herb, contextually specific), which is optional. Add five leaves of Congbai (Allii Fistulosi Bulbus) and decoct in water. In summer, add Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix); in spring, add Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma); in winter, add Sharen (Amomi Fructus).
For Qi deficiency, increase the dosage of Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma) and Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma); for Qi excess, add Xiangfu (Cyperi Rhizoma) and Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium). For Blood deficiency, double the dosage of Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) and add Dihuang (Rehmanniae Radix). For those with irritable temper prone to anger, add Chaihu (Bupleuri Radix). For heat conditions, add Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix). For poor appetite, add Sharen (Amomi Fructus) and Shenqu (Massa Medicata Fermentata). For thirst, add Maidong (Ophiopogonis Radix). Another formula: Treats fetal instability caused by trauma from falling or lifting heavy objects, as well as intrauterine fetal death.
Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma) 1 liang, ground into powder. Mix with hot water and take continuously for three doses. If not injured, the fetus will stabilize; if dead, it will be expelled.
Yet another formula: Treats fetal restlessness and bleeding in women.
