(This formula is also known as Dachengqi Tang (Major Order the Qi Decoction))
It should be taken only when injuries are extremely severe and both urination and defecation are obstructed. Mutong (Akebiae Caulis) can be added for decoction. If obstruction persists, Puxiao (Natrii Sulfas) may be added. Only after urination and defecation are restored can medicines for treating injuries be administered. Medicines for treating injuries must not be decocted with wine, as this will exacerbate the obstruction. Dosage must also be adjusted according to the patient's robustness or frailty; pregnant women and children should not take it.
Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, 4 liang), Chuan Mangxiao (Natrii Sulfas), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium), Honghua (Carthami Flos), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Sumu (Pterocarpi Santalinus Lignum), Mutong (Akebiae Caulis) [each 2 liang], Zhiqiao (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus, 4 liang), Nongpo (Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex, a small amount).
Crush the above ingredients. Take 2 qian per dose. Add 1.5 zhan of water, boil until bubbling once, strain, and take warm. Time of administration is unrestricted. This formula specifically treats severe trauma in men where blood stasis does not dissipate, causing abdominal distension, obstruction of urination and defecation, and stasis attacking the heart and abdomen, leading to severe chest oppression, confusion, and even death. Urgently administer this medicine to purge the blood stasis before taking other injury-treating medicines.
Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, 4 liang), Mangxiao (Natrii Sulfas, 2 qian, add gradually while hot), Zhishi (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus, 2 liang), Nongpo (Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex, 8 liang).
The therapeutic effect is the same as Dacheng Tang, but this formula is milder in strength.
It can be taken by women, girls, and children without restriction.
Treats various wind-induced injuries.

Take 2 qian per dose. Add 1.5 zhan of water and 4 slices of Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens), boil until 0.8 zhan remains. Take at any time. It is advisable to combine with Mingli Tang (Life-Preserving Decoction) and Xiaofeng San (Wind-Expelling Powder).
Xiakuwu (also known as E), a type of bird. Burn its bones until they retain their properties (charcoal form).
