Damp Cholera (Shi Huoluan) is caused by the combination of Summerheat (Shu) and Fluid retention (Yin). Its manifestations include simultaneous vomiting and diarrhea without pause, abdominal pain, thirst with desire to drink, and distension and fullness in the chest and diaphragm. For cases where fluid retention is predominant, ancient methods primarily employ Erxiang Yin (Two Fragrances Decoction), which contains Perillae Folium (Suye), Agastache Herba (Huoxiang), Poria (Fuling), Dolichos Lablab Seed (Biandou), Magnolia Bark (Nongpu), Citrus Reticulatae Pericarpium (Chenpi), Pinellia Tuber (Banxia), Raw Licorice Root (Sheng Gancao), Areca Seed (Dafupi), Angelica Dahurica Radix (Baizhi), Platycodon Root (Jiegeng), Coptis Rhizome (Huanglian), and Mosla Herb (Xiangru), with Fresh Ginger (Shengjiang) and Sparganium Rhizome (Dengxin) as guides for administration. For cases where Summerheat is predominant, ancient methods primarily employ Chensha Yiyuan San (Cinnabar Yi Yuan Powder), containing Cinnabar (Chensha), Talcum (Huashi), and Licorice Root (Gancao), combined with Baolong Wan (Embrace Dragon Pill) taken with water; it uses Sparganium Rhizome (Dengxin) and Fresh Ginger (Shengjiang) as guides.

This belongs to Deficiency-Cold, treated with Lizhong Wan (Regulate the Middle Pill) 3 qian, added with Agastache Herba (Huoxiang) 5 fen, Chaenomeles Fruit (Mugua) 3 fen, and Magnolia Bark (Chuan Pu) 5 fen, decocted in Yin-Yang Water.
