For treating burns from fire, scalds from hot oil, and cases of muscle detachment:
Sheng Hanshui Shi (Calcitum, raw), Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, fire-roasted), Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex, oil-fried). These three herbs are used in equal parts.
Grind the above herbs into a fine powder. Apply mixed with oil to the affected area, or apply the dry powder directly. The pain will cease immediately, healing will occur rapidly, and there will be no risk of tetanus.
A highly effective formula for treating various types of tinea and scabies:
Xionghuang (Realgar, transparent and bright, easily broken by hand breath), Hei Gouji (Cibotii Rhizoma), Shechuangzi (Cnidii Fructus, stir-baked), Shu Liuhuang (Sulfur, refined), Hanshui Shi (Calcitum). The first four herbs are each 5 qian, and Hanshui Shi is 6 qian. Banmao (Mylabris, 13 pieces, wings, feet, and hairs removed, ground to powder).
Separately grind Xionghuang, Liuhuang, and Hanshui Shi into powders. Then add Banmao, Shechuangzi, and Hei Gouji, and grind them together uniformly. First wash the affected area with hot water to penetrate and remove crusts. Mix the powder with oil, warm it in the hands, and rub it onto the lesion until the medicinal odor is detected. Usually, one application results in a cure.
If pain is severe and swelling is prominent, double the dosage of Hanshui Shi.
If itching is absent, add only Hei Gouji.
If itching is mild, add only Shechuangzi.
If parasites are present in the sores, add Xionghuang.
If moxibustion or herbal baths are preferred, add Liuhuang.
