Treats the two conditions of postpartum dizziness and blood syncope, and can also clear the blood, regulate menstruation, expel old blood, and nourish new blood.
*Zelan Ye* (Leaf of *Lycopus lucidus*), *Jingjie Sui* (Achenes of *Schizonepeta*) (each 2 liang), *Chuanxiong Rhizoma* (1 liang), *Ren Shen* (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma) (5 qian), *Gancao* (Licorice Root) (4 qian).
Grind the above into fine powder. Take 2 qian per dose, delivered with decocted green onion soup or hot wine (can also be decocted and taken orally).
*Ren Shen* (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), *Baizhu* (Atractylodis Rhizoma) (each 1 qian), *Gancao* (Licorice Root), *Chuanxiong Rhizoma* (each 7 fen), *Danggui* (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) (8 fen), *Huangqin* (Scutellariae Radix), *Chenpi* (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium) (each 5 fen), *Shudihuang* (Prepared Rehmanniae Radix) (washed with wine, 1 qian).
Decoct the above with fresh ginger and jujube. Take on an empty stomach before meals. If fever is mild, add *Fuling* (Poria) (1 qian) to leach out heat through diuresis; if heat is severe, add *Ganjiang* (Zingiberis Rhizoma) (charred black, 1 qian) to dissipate heat.
Someone asked: Why use *Ganjiang* for severe heat? The answer is: This is not excess heat, but internal heat generated by yin deficiency. Essentially, *Ganjiang* can benefit lung qi in the lung aspect and guide blood-nourishing herbs to generate blood in the liver aspect. However, it must be used together with yin-nourishing herbs to be effective. This is the natural wonder of creation; who but the most divine person in the world could understand this?
Treats postpartum persistent bleeding due to retained blood, with pain around the umbilicus in the lower abdomen (commonly known as "child pillow pain"; this formula cures it after one dose).
*Sheng Puhuang* (Fresh Pollen Typhae), *Chuanxiong Rhizoma*, *Baizhu* (Atractylodis Rhizoma), *Shenqu* (Massa Medicata Fermentata), *Chenpi* (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium), *Taoren* (Persicae Semen) (each 7 fen), *Xiangfu* (Cyperi Rhizoma) (stir-fried with urine of a healthy boy), *Dangguiwei* (Tail of Angelicae Sinensis Radix) (each 1.5 qian), *Gancao* (Licorice Root) (4 fen).
Decoct the above with 1.5 zhong of water until reduced to 0.7 zhong. Take warm at any time.

Of the above eighteen ingredients, except for the ash-type medicines which are ground separately, grind the rest into fine powder. Mix evenly with the separately ground medicines. Take 1 qian per dose, mixed with ginger soup, or *Shaoyao Danggui Tang* (Peony and Angelica Decoction), or Lingxiaohua decocted wine. For severe cases, take three to four times in one night. Avoid fish, goose, pork, mutton, and all cold, raw, oily, and roasted foods. Efficacy is very rapid.
