If suffering from evil qi invasion or hostile spirit attack, causing sudden abdominal distension and severe pain like needle or knife stabs, rapid breathing, locked jaw, or even apparent death, administer with warm water or wine. If the pill does not go down, support the head to facilitate swallowing; recovery will occur shortly. If not recovered, administer three more pills. Recovery occurs once intestinal rumbling is heard, followed by vomiting or purging. If the jaw is locked, it must be pried open to instill the medicine, which is optimal. Avoid eating reed shoots, pork, cold water, and greasy foods. Mr. Zhang Shuzhen from Yishui also named this formula Duxing Wan (Solitary Pill), which is a potent emergency preparation.
