Patient Chen (onset in July): Contracted summer-heat and wind, disturbing the Lung and Stomach, presenting with cough, tidal fever, epigastric fullness, and thirst. The pulse is rapid. Treatment should employ clearing and resolving methods.

Fu Zuo: Cold water insulting the Spleen Earth, causing the Earth to lose its embankment function, leading to flooding of Water Qi. Initially presenting with cough, followed by generalized edema, abdominal distension, and rebellious Qi. The pulse is deep and fine. Treatment should warm the Middle and promote urination. There is concern that symptoms may evolve into panting. Attached is a formula for your correction.
