The Ren Mai (Conception Vessel) has twenty-four acupoints along the midline of the body. Huiyin (CV1) is hidden between the two yins (anterior and posterior orifices). Before Qugu (CV2) lies Zhongji (CV3); Guan Yuan (CV4), Shimen (CV5), and Qihai (CV6) are arranged in sequence. Yinjiao (CV7), Shenque (CV8), and Shuifen (CV9) are located here; Xiawan (CV10), Jianli (CV11), and Zhongwan (CV12) are anteriorly positioned; Shangwan (CV13) and Juque (CV14) connect to Jiutui (CV15); Zhongting (CV16), Danzhong (CV17), and Yutang (CV18) are linked; Zigong (CV19) and Huagai (CV20) follow Xuanji (CV21); Tiantu (CV22), Lianquan (CV23), and Chengjiang (CV24) are at the terminal end.
Huiyin (CV1) of the Ren Mai (Conception Vessel) is located between the two yins; Qugu (CV2) is secured in the depression at the pubic hairline; Zhongji (CV3) is located four cun below the umbilicus; Guan Yuan (CV4) connects three cun below the umbilicus; named Shimen (CV5) is two cun below the umbilicus; Qihai (CV6) is fully situated one and a half cun below the umbilicus. Yinjiao (CV7) is one cun below the umbilicus; Shenque (CV8) is exactly at the center of the umbilicus; Shuifen (CV9) is one cun above the umbilicus; Xiawan (CV10) is listed two cun above the umbilicus; Jianli (CV11) is named three cun above the umbilicus; Zhongwan (CV12) is approximately four cun above the umbilicus; Shangwan (CV13) is five cun above the umbilicus; Juque (CV14) is six cun and five fen above the umbilicus; Jiutui (CV15) is five fen below the xiphoid process (mastoid bone); Zhongting (CV16) is taken six cun below Danzhong (CV17); Danzhong (CV17) is indeed between the two breasts; Yutang (CV18) governs one cun and six fen above Danzhong (CV17); Zigong (CV19) is three cun and two fen above Danzhong (CV17); Huagai (CV20) is raised four cun and eight fen above Danzhong (CV17); Xuanji (CV21) is five cun and eight fen above Danzhong (CV17); Tiantu (CV22) protrudes one cun above Xuanji (CV21); Tiantu (CV22) is approximately four cun below the larynx; Lianquan (CV23) is determined at the tip of the hyoid bone under the chin; Chengjiang (CV24) is under the lip ridge at the front of the cheek; the Ren Mai (Conception Vessel) travels within the abdominal midline.
[Note] Huiyin (CV1) is located in the middle of the anterior and posterior orifices; it is the starting point of the Ren Mai (Conception Vessel), Du Mai (Governing Vessel), and Chong Mai (Penetrating Vessel). The Du Mai (Governing Vessel) travels along the back from Huiyin (CV1); the Ren Mai (Conception Vessel) travels along the abdomen from Huiyin (CV1); the Chong Mai (Penetrating Vessel) travels along the legs from Huiyin (CV1). Ascending from Huiyin (CV1), to the depression at the pubic hairline above the transverse bone, where the arterial pulse can be felt, this is Qugu (CV2), five cun below the umbilicus. Ascending from Qugu (CV2), at four cun below the umbilicus, is Zhongji (CV3). Ascending from Zhongji (CV3), at three cun below the umbilicus, is Guan Yuan (CV4).
