Tongziliao is located 0.5 cun lateral to the outer canthus; Tinghui (GB1) is found in the depression anterior to the ear; moving vertically upward 1 cun leads to Shangguan (GB2); slanting inward to the upper margin of the curved angle of the temporal bone is Hanyan (GB5); moving posteriorly to the middle of the skull, below Xuanlu (GB6), is Xuanli (GB7); further posteriorly into the hairline at the corner of the ear, where movement of the jaw creates a gap, is Qubin (GB7); from Qubin, moving posteriorly above the ear into the hairline 1.5 cun deep, taken during chewing, is Shuaigu (GB8); from Shuaigu, moving posteriorly about 0.3 cun behind the ear, entering the hairline 2 cun deep, is Tianchong (GB9); descending from Tianchong behind the ear, entering the hairline 1 cun deep, is Fubai (GB10); descending from Fubai behind the ear, high below the occipital bone, where shaking the head reveals a gap, is Qiaoyin (GB44); moving from Qiaoyin behind the ear, entering the hairline 0.4 cun deep, is Wanggu (GB12).
Ascending from Wanggu, 3 cun lateral to Shenting (GV24), directly above the ear entering the hairline 0.4 cun deep, is Benshen (GB13); moving from Benshen 1 cun above the eyebrow, directly opposite Tongziliao, is Yangbai (GB14); ascending vertically from Yangbai into the hairline 0.5 cun deep, taken while looking straight ahead, is Zulinqi (GB41); moving posteriorly 1 cun from Zulinqi is Mucuang (GB15); moving posteriorly 1 cun from Mucuang is Zhengying (GB16); moving posteriorly 1.5 cun from Zhengying is Chengling (GB15); moving posteriorly 1.5 cun from Chengling is Naokong (GB16); descending from Naokong behind the ear into the depression at the lower hairline, on the lateral edge of the large tendon, where pressure radiates to the ear, is Fengchi (GB20).
Descending from Fengchi to the shoulder, meeting the branch, converging 1.5 cun anterior to the greater bone above the Clavicle (Quepen), pressing with three fingers, the depression under the middle finger, is Jianjing (GB21); descending from Jianjing 3 cun into the armpit's depression, taken with the arm raised, is Yuanli (GB22); descending from Yuanli, moving forward 1 cun more, to the end of the third rib, horizontally aligned 7.5 cun lateral to the xiphoid process, directly between the nipples, taken lying on the side with the upper leg flexed, is Zhejin (GB24); moving from Zhejin to the seam below the second rib under the breast, 0.5 cun down, is Riyue (GB25); moving from Riyue to the root of the costal arch, flanking the spine, 0.5 cun above the umbilicus, 9.5 cun lateral, taken lying on the side with the upper leg flexed, lower leg extended, and arm raised, is Jingmen (GB25); descending from Jingmen 1.8 cun below the costal margin into the depression, 0.2 cun above the umbilicus, 8.5 cun lateral, is Daibmai (GB26); 3 cun below Daibmai is Wushu (GB27); descending from Wushu, passing 5.3 cun below Zhangmen (LR13) of the Liver Meridian, is Weidao (GB28); descending 3 cun from Weidao into the depression above the iliac crest is Juliao (GB29); descending from Juliao into the center of the hip joint (bitu), taken lying on the side with the lower leg extended and upper leg flexed, is Huantiao (GB30).
