The Foot-Taiyin Spleen Meridian is located in the Central Region (the middle of the human body) and has twenty-one acupoints, starting with Yinbai. Proceed to Dada, gaze at Taibai; visit Gongsun, arrive at Shangqiu. Crossing the intersection of the three Yin meridians, Lougu and Dijia can be reached; stepping into the spring of Yinlingquan, Xuehai and Jimen are sought. Entering Chongmen, Fushé is open and spacious; resolving the knot of Fujie, Dahan moves leisurely. Fu'ai, Shidou connect with Tianxi sharing the same source; Xiongxiang and Zhourong link to Dabao like a hook.
Starting from the medial side of the great toe is Yinbai; seek Dada in the depression behind the joint; Taibai is below the nuclear bone on the medial side; one cun posterior to the joint is called Gongsun; Shangqiu is encountered in the depression medial to the medial malleolus; Sanyinjiao is three cun above the medial malleolus; Lougu is six cun above the medial malleolus; Dijia is five cun above the medial malleolus; Yinlingquan is on the medial side below the knee; Xuehai is on the medial margin above the patella; Jimen is taken at the fish belly area, where the arterial pulse is felt passing between the tendons; Chongmen is 0.5 cun below Qimen; Fushé is determined nine cun below Qimen; Fujie is 6.8 cun below Qimen; Dahan is 5.5 cun below Qimen; Fu'ai is two cun below Qimen; Qimen belongs to the Liver Meridian and appears; beside Juque, four cun and five fen lateral, connects to Spleen Meridian points, do not operate randomly; from here upwards is Shidou; Tianxi, Xiongxiang, and Zhourong run through; they are separated by one cun and six fen with little difference; moving up another one cun and six fen, Zhongfu replaces it; Dabao is six cun under the axilla; Yuanli binds at three cun under the axilla.
Stiffness of the tongue root occurs because the meridian connects to the tongue root. Vomiting after eating occurs because the Spleen cannot transform food. Epigastric pain occurs because the meridian connects to the Stomach. Abdominal distension occurs because the meridian enters the abdomen. Frequent belching occurs because Spleen Qi rebels in the Stomach. Feeling relieved after defecation and passing gas occurs because Spleen Qi descends. Heaviness of the body occurs because the Spleen governs the muscles. The above conditions may be Jing-meridian diseases, Luo-collateral diseases, or Zang-organ diseases, all being self-diseases of the Spleen Meridian. Pain of the tongue root is more severe than stiffness. Inability to move the body is more severe than heaviness. Inability to eat is more than just vomiting. Heart vexation and heart pain occur because the meridian pours into the heart center, also conforming to Heart Meridian diseases. Loose stools with undigested food or masses occur because the Spleen is not solid. Urinary retention occurs because Spleen disease involves the Kidney. Jaundice occurs because the true color of the Spleen manifests externally. Inability to lie down occurs because Kidney disease interferes with the Spleen. Forcibly standing leading to swelling of the thighs and knees and inability to use the big toe are all Jing-meridian diseases. The above are combined diseases. Not mentioning Qi excess or Qi deficiency is an omission of text.
