[From *Zhenjiu Zhaoying*] Obstruction of the meridians: Select Quchi (LI11), Zhigou (SJ6), Zusanli (ST36), and Sanyinjiao (SP6). (If these four acupoints are obstructed causing amenorrhea, apply the reducing method; if amenorrhea is due to deficiency and exhaustion, apply the tonifying method.)
[From *Zhenjiu Jicheng*] Amenorrhea: Select Zhongji (CV3), Sanyinjiao (SP6), Shenshu (BL23), and Hegu (LI4).
[Dong Yuan] Another method: Select Siman (CV4). (Located one and a half cun lateral to Dantian.)
[From *Qianjin Fang*] Obstruction of the meridians evolving into a mass syndrome (*Jia*), with normal diet but gradually distending abdomen resembling *Gu* poisoning: Select Qihai (CV6) (use a needle connected to a tube to drain fluid and foul matter); select Yinjiao (CV7) (method as above, to discharge foul matter).
[From *Jiayijing*] For amenorrhea accompanied by *Ben Tun* (rushing pig) syndrome with qi leakage, and pain in the lower back and spine radiating up and down, Qi Xue (KI13) is indicated. For women with absent menstruation, Zhaohai (KI6) is indicated. For women with hardness and pain in the lower abdomen and amenorrhea, Da Mai (GB26) is indicated. For irregular menstruation, where bleeding occurs leading to miscarriage upon conception, and breast swelling, Lin Qi (GB41) is indicated.
[From *Maijue*] The Master said: A woman brought her fifteen-year-old daughter for consultation, stating that the daughter's menstruation began naturally at age fourteen but has now ceased. The mother was fearful. The Master said: If this is the夫人's biological daughter, it is certain that the夫人 also had her menstruation at age fourteen. Therefore, this cessation is called "Bi Nian" (a physiological pause in menstruation in young women), do not be alarmed; menstruation will resume spontaneously later. A faint and choppy pulse at the Kidney position indicates absence of menstruation. (Full text see Section on Deficiency and Excess.)
Disease of the Two Yang (Stomach and Large Intestine) originating from Heart and Spleen, involving hidden difficulties or sexual dysfunction, leads to amenorrhea in women. If it transmits to become *Xi Fen* (a type of accumulation disease), it is a fatal condition and incurable. (Full text see Section on Diagnosis of Disease Transmission.)
