Semen Sophorae (Kushen) 3 liang, Kujiu (Vinegar) 1.5 sheng.
Take the above two ingredients, boil for three times, ensuring the liquid rises and falls (three up, three down). After ingestion, it induces vomiting to expel food, and the condition will be cured.
[Formula Analysis]
Semen Sophorae is bitter, and Kujiu is sour. The combination of sour and bitter flavors promotes vomiting and purging to eliminate toxins, thereby relieving irritability and fullness.
Another formula:
Xijiao Tang (Rhinoceros Horn Decoction) is also excellent.
[Annotation]
Irritability and fullness caused by poisoning stem from toxins in the stomach; Rhinoceros Cornu (Xijiao) resolves stomach toxicity.
Salt 1 sheng, Water 3 sheng.
Take the above two ingredients, boil until the salt dissolves completely. Divide into three doses. It should induce vomiting of food, and the condition will be cured.
[Formula Analysis]
Salt is salty; it can soften hardness and induce vomiting/purging, thereby resolving hard fullness.
Raw Alum (Fanshi) entering the abdomen damages the heart and liver; it is also forbidden to take with water.
[Annotation]
Alum has a sour and astringent nature. Unjustified use harms the heart and liver. Alum dissolves upon contact with water. Due to mutual antagonism of properties, taking it with water is prohibited.
Phytolaccae Radix (Shanglu) taken with water causes death.
[Annotation]
Phytolaccae Radix is highly toxic. Although it promotes water metabolism, it is contraindicated to be taken with water due to the mutual aversion of their properties.
Semen Lepidii et Descureniae (Tinglizi) applied externally to head sores allows medicinal qi to enter the brain, causing death.
[Annotation]
Semen Lepidii et Descureniae is extremely cold. Although it can treat sores and kill parasites when applied externally, its medicinal qi tends to descend, leading to the internal attack of sore toxins into the brain, thus causing death.
Mercurius (Shuiyin) enters human ears and those of six domestic animals, causing death. Placing gold or silver near the ear causes Mercury to be expelled.
[Annotation]
Mercury is highly toxic. Entering the ear, it sinks into meridians and collaterals, causing death. Placing gold or silver at the ear canal draws out Mercury. This reflects the principle of mutual attraction between substances, similar to how lodestone attracts iron needles.
Fructus Meliae Toosendan (Kulian) without seeds causes death.
[Annotation]
Melia tooseda exists in male and female varieties. The male variety bears no fruit, has a red root which is toxic, and causes incessant vomiting, potentially leading to death. The female variety bears fruit, has a white root with slight toxicity, and can be used medicinally.
Most poisons are administered via food or drink. When individuals unknowingly ingest poison, one should decoct Qini (Radix Adenophorae) and Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae) juice to drink, which helps eliminate various toxins.
[Annotation]
Poisons are often delivered through food and drink, and victims are initially unaware. Upon suspicion, frequently decocting Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae) and Qini (Radix Adenophorae) soup is recommended, as these two herbs can detoxify herbal and mineral poisons.
