The *Duanju Fang* (Short-Script Formulas) prescribes Da Wumei Tang (Great Mume Pill Decoction) for cases following purgative treatment, characterized by deficiency vexation, dryness, restlessness, and insomnia; in severe cases, patients experience extreme mental agitation and distress (*ao nao*). Formula:
Da Wumei (Mume Fructus, 14 pieces, split)

These two ingredients are boiled in four sheng of water. Boil the Mume fruit until half remains (2.5 sheng), then add the Prepared Soybean and boil for four or five cycles. The final yield is 1.5 sheng, divided into two doses.
The *Qianjin Fang* (Essential Prescriptions Worth a Thousand Gold) treats post-purgative vexation with sudden upward rushing of qi using Xiangsu Tang (Fragrant Perilla Decoction). Formula:
Xiang Chi (Prepared Soybean, 5 liang)
Sheng Su (Fresh Perilla Leaf, 1 bundle; use Perilla Seed, 3 liang, in winter)
These two ingredients are boiled in five sheng of water until two sheng remain, taken in one dose.
