Pulse Diagnosis
In Yang Jue syndrome, limbs are warm and the pulse is floating. Heat in the chest makes the pathological condition difficult to retain. Yin deficiency with rebellious Qi is diagnosed at the Chi position. The Chi pulse often shows hyperactive Yang fire that fails to return to its source. If the pulse is deep, limbs are cold, and the face is red as cinnabar, this indicates Yin excess repelling Yang; warming herbs are required. If fainting occurs with a deep and slow pulse, urgently applying warming and unblocking methods may help rescue the patient. In Jue syndrome, the Cun positions on both sides must be soggy (Ru). If the pulse is floating and forceful, it indicates wind-phlegm abundance. If the pulse shape is moving and slippery, it indicates a deficient constitution. If an intermittent pulse (Dai) appears during Jue attacks, recovery is unlikely. If a hidden pulse (Fu) is encountered, it indicates the expulsion of heat. If all six pulses are floating and large, sudden Jue carries no danger. However, if it is stated to be a deficiency syndrome, death will occur in an instant.
