The pulse at the Cun Kou (Cun Kou, radial artery location) is floating and weak, indicating blood deficiency leading to palpitations; the pulse is deep and slippery, indicating accumulation of phlegm-fluids.

When encountering sudden fright, danger, or losing one's will due to external stimuli, causing the Heart Qi to be disrupted and resulting in palpitations, Longchi Tang (Dragon Tooth Decoction), Anshen Wan (Spirit-Calming Pill), and Dingzhi Huotan Tang (Will-Fixing Phlegm-Resolving Decoction) are appropriate.

When the Heart is deficient with stagnant phlegm, causing a gurgling sensation in the chest and mental unease leading to panic attacks (Zhengchong, 怔忡), Fuling Yin (Poria Drink), and Shiquan Wenpi Tang (Ten-Ingredient Spleen-Warming Decoction) are appropriate.

When excessive thinking damages Heart Qi, leading to forgetfulness and memory loss, Yangxin Tang (Heart-Nourishing Decoction), Guipi Tang (Spleen-Restoring Decoction), and Dingzhi Wan (Will-Fixing Pill) are appropriate.

Treatment for loss of Heart Spirit control, palpitations, and trance:
Fuling (Poria), Fushen (Poria with Wood), Shichangpu (Acorus Rhizome), Yuanzhi (Polygala Root), Baizhu (Atractylodes Rhizome), Banxia (Pinellia Tuber), Gancao (Licorice Root), Chenpi (Tangerine Peel), Maimendong (Ophiopogon Tuber), Huanglian (Coptis Rhizome).
Decoct two cups of water with three slices of fresh ginger and ten strands of Jixin (Juncus Effusus Pith). Take orally.

Treatment for the above symptoms:
Guigui (Cinnamon Twig), Banxia (Pinellia Tuber), Renshen (Ginseng Root), Fuling (Poria), Zhike (Bitter Orange Fruit), Gancao (Licorice Root), Danggui (Angelica Sinensis Root), Longchi (Dragon Tooth), Jiegeng (Platycodon Root), Yuanzhi (Polygala Root), Fushen (Poria with Wood), Huang [Text incomplete].
Decoct two cups of water with one hundred grains of Nuomi (Glutinous Rice), three slices of fresh ginger, and one date. Take at any time.

Treatment for the above symptoms:
Huanglian (Coptis Rhizome, 1.5 qian, stir-fried with wine), Zhusha (Cinnabar, 1 qian), Shengdihuang (Rehmannia Root, washed and soaked in wine), Danggui (Angelica Sinensis Root, washed in wine), Zhi Gancao (Prepared Licorice Root, each 0.5 qian).
Grind into fine powder, form pills using steamed wheat cake dough, sized like millet seeds. Take fifteen pills per dose, swallowed with saliva.

Treatment for Heart deficiency with stagnant phlegm causing panic attacks and restlessness:
Chifuling (Red Poria), Banxia (Pinellia Tuber), Fushen (Poria with Wood), Maimendong (Ophiopogon Tuber, heart removed), Chenpi (Tangerine Peel), Chenxiang (Agarwood), Binglang (Areca Seed), Gancao (Licorice Root).
Decoct two cups of water with three slices of fresh ginger until reduced to eight-tenths. Take after meals.

Treatment for the above symptoms:
Banxia (Pinellia Tuber), Zhishi (Immature Bitter Orange), Juhong (Exocarpium Citri Grandis), Fuling (Poria), Suanzaoren (Ziziphus Seed), Yuanzhi (Polygala Root), Wuweizi (Schisandra Fruit), Shudihuang (Prepared Rehmannia Root), Renshen (Ginseng Root), Gancao (Licorice Root).
Decoct two cups of water with three slices of fresh ginger and one date until reduced to eight-tenths. Take at any time.

Treatment for the above symptoms:
Tianmendong (Asparagus Tuber, heart removed), Maimendong (Ophiopogon Tuber, heart removed, each 1 liang), Shengdihuang (Rehmannia Root, 2 liang, soaked in wine), Renshen (Ginseng Root, 5 qian), Yuanzhi (Polygala Root, heart removed, 5 qian), Wuweizi (Schisandra Fruit, 7 qian), Baiziren (Biota Seed, shell removed, 1 liang), Suanzaoren (Ziziphus Seed, shell removed, 1 liang), Xuanshen (Scrophularia Root, 5 qian), Danshen (Salvia Root, 5 qian), Danggui [Text incomplete].
Grind into powder, mix with refined honey to form pills the size of longan fruits, coated with Zhusha (Cinnabar). Take one pill before sleep, dissolved and taken with Dengxin Tang (Juncus Decoction).
