The area where the fingernails of both hands connect is called the "small joint" (xiaojie). Behind the small joint is the "middle joint" (zhongjie), and behind the middle joint is the "root joint" (benjie). Behind the root joint, in front of the limb bone, the metacarpal bones (zhanggu) are generated. Above the metacarpal bones, the flesh of the palm (zhangrou) grows. Behind the palm flesh, the part that can flex is the wrist (wan). The prominent bone rising from the left side of the wrist is called the lateral malleolus of the hand (shou waihuai, corresponding to the radial styloid process), and the prominent bone rising from the right side is called the medial malleolus of the hand (shou huai, corresponding to the ulnar styloid process). Connected between these two malleoli, the arm bone (bi gu, referring to the forearm bones) is generated. Assisting the arm bone is the "thigh bone" (bi gu, here contextually referring to the humerus/upper arm bone, though literally 'bi' usually means femur). The connection of these three bones constitutes the elbow bone (zhou gu). The part at the front that can flex is the flexed elbow (qu zhou). Above the flexed elbow, the [humerus/thigh bone] (bi gu) is generated. Above this bone, the shoulder Jing point (Jianjing, Jianjing acupoint) is generated. In front of the Jianjing point is the transverse bone [clavicle] (heng gu suo gu). In front of the transverse bone is the thigh bone [bi gu, likely referring to the medial end of clavicle or sternum area in this specific text's logic]. The depression in the center of this thigh bone is called the Clavicular fossa (Quepen acupoint). Above the Quepen is the neck (jing). In front of the neck is the pharynx and larynx (sang hou). Above the sang hou is the Adam's apple (Jiehou). Above the Jiehou is the chin (ke). On both sides of the chin are the curved mandible areas (Quhan). On both sides of the Quhan are the cheeks/jaw (Yi). On both sides of the Yi are the Jiache acupoint area (Jiache). Above the Jiache is the ear (er). Above the ear is the curved temple (Qubin). From the Qubin moving upward is the vertex (Ding). In front of the vertex is the fontanelle (Xinmen). Below the Xinmen is the hairline (Faji). Directly below the hairline is the forehead (E). Below the forehead are the eyebrows (Mei). At the outer end of the eyebrows is the Taiyang acupoint. In front of the Taiyang point are the eyes (Mu). On both sides of the eyes are the two small [orbits] (xiao kuang). Above the small orbits is the upper eyelid (Shangjian), and below is the lower eyelid (Xiajian). The part in the correct position capable of vision is the pupil (Mutongzi). Close to the nose from the pupil are the two large [canthi/corners of the eye] (da zi). Close to the two large canthi is the Shan Gen (root of the nose). Above the Shan Gen is the Yintang acupoint. Above the Yintang is the brain corner (Naojiao). Below the Naojiao connects to the occipital bone (Chenzhen gu). Horizontally generated below the spinal column is the hip bone (Kuangu). On both sides of the hip bone are the Chai bones (Chaigu, likely ischium or ilium parts). In the lower middle of the Chai bones is the [Mingmen/Yaomen] bone (Yaomen gu). Connected above the Chai bones are the leg bones (Tuigu, femur). Below the leg bone, the part that can flex is the flexed knee (Quxi). Generated above the flexed knee is the kneecap (Xigai gu). Below the kneecap is the tibia (Jinggu). Generated beside the tibia is the fibula [fei gu]. Below the fibula, the prominent high bone on the left is the lateral malleolus of the feet (Zu waihuai), and on the right is the medial malleolus of the feet (Zu nei huai). Hanging down in front of the tibia are the foot [tarsal] bones (Zu fu gu). In front of the tarsal bones is the root joint of the foot (Zu ben jie). In front of the root joint of the foot is the small joint (Xiao jie). Connected to the small joints are the toenails (Zu zhijia). Generated behind the toenails is the anterior dorsum of the foot (Zu qian fu). Behind the dorsum, the depressed area is the sole of the foot (Zuxin). Generated below the sole are the metatarsal bones (Zu zhang gu). Generated behind the metatarsals is the heel flesh (Zhong rou). Behind the heel flesh is the heel (Gen).
