Once the abscess forms, death ensues. Therefore, in cases where there is a fixed site of pain in the abdomen, accompanied by aversion to cold, fatigue with a desire to lie down, and inability to eat, careful examination is required to prevent the development of internal abscesses (Nei Yong). Do not allow procrastination, which may lead to long-standing suppuration and rupture, thereby harming one's own life. (Xu Lingtai)
Coughing with dull pain in the chest, roughness of the skin over the chest and heart area resembling fish scales (Jin Cuo), chills and tremors, rapid pulse (Mai Shu), dry throat without thirst, frequent expectoration of turbid saliva with a foul or fishy odor, and expectoration of pus resembling congee are characteristics of Lung Abscess (Fei Yong). Heaviness in the lower abdomen, tenderness upon pressure, frequent urination resembling stranguria (Lin Zheng), sweating with aversion to cold, roughness of the body skin resembling fish scales (Shen Pi Jin Cuo), abdominal wall tension and tightness as if swollen, and a slippery and rapid pulse (Mai Hua Shu) indicate Intestinal Abscess (Chang Yong). Dull pain in the epigastrium, intolerance to touch (Ju An), a deep and fine stomach pulse (Wei Mai Chen Xi), and an inverted and excessive Renying pulse (Renying Ni Er Sheng) indicate Gastric Abscess (Wei Wan Yong).
