For wounds inflicted by a tiger bite, wash the wound with thick decoction of Puerariae Radix (Ge Gen) ten times. Drink the juice or take it as a powder, administered with Ge Gen juice, one cun-cube dose per administration, five times daily. For severe cases, add two doses at night.

Another formula: Roll blue cloth tightly into a rope, ignite only one end, insert the burning end into a bamboo tube, and fumigate the wound; this is miraculous.

Another formula: Boil iron until the water becomes concentrated, and use it to wash the wound.

Another formula: Chew chestnuts and apply them to the affected area; this is beneficial.

If injured by bones from a flayed dead horse, with toxins attacking the heart causing near-death state, immediately take feces from the horse's intestine and apply it topically; this is highly effective.

Another formula: Burn the feces to ash, and administer one cun-cube dose orally.

For bites from rabid dogs, where toxicity manifests every seven days and can be fatal within one hundred days, upon each seventh day, crush fresh Chinese chive (Jiu Cai) to extract juice and drink one to two sheng. One must strictly avoid consuming dog meat and silkworm pupae for life; violation will lead to death without remedy. During the period before the wound heals, raw fish and all greasy, cold foods are prohibited. Consuming steamed fish over rice or food from vessels that held greasy substances may trigger recurrence. Alcohol should not be consumed; recovery is considered complete after one year.

For dog bites, crush Sanguisorbae Radix (Di Yu), extract the juice, and apply to the wound. If fresh root is unavailable, use dried root, boil in water to make a decoction, and drink. It can also be powdered and taken as one cun-cube dose... [text missing].

Another formula: Crush Chinese chive (Jiu Cai), extract juice, drink one sheng, three times daily. Stop when the wound heals.

Another formula: Apply clear liquid from bean paste to the affected area, three to four times daily.

Another formula: Scrape powder from tiger teeth or bone, and take one cun-cube dose orally.

For dog venom, burn tiger bone and apply it to the wound as a poultice and warm compress. Alternatively, lightly roast Apricomi Semen (Xing Ren), crush and grind to extract juice, and drink; this is beneficial. Also, pour residual oil from a lamp wick holder into the wound.

Another formula: Use roots of Chinese chive (Jiu Cai) and two old combs, boil in two sheng of water until reduced to one sheng, and take in one dose.

Another formula: Take one handful of the white bark from the southeast branch of a peach tree, boil in two sheng of water until reduced to one sheng, divide into two doses, and take; this expels "dog children" (referring to dog venom or parasites).

Another formula: Take seven seeds of Datura metel (Liang Dang Zi), once daily.

Another formula: Powdered plum fruit, taken with wine.

For dog bites where evil blood remains, moxibustion of 100 cones (Zhuang) should be applied to the wound, followed by one cone daily thereafter. If blood does not flow, puncture to drain blood; continue moxibustion for one hundred days until cessation. Prohibit alcohol, pork, and dog meat.

Generally, for dog bites, applying hot cow dung is optimal.

For a needle broken off inside the flesh, scrape ivory powder, mix with water to form a paste, apply it over the broken needle, and the needle will emerge.

Another formula: Use lodestone (Ci Shi) that attracts iron; place it on the skin above the needle, and it will extract the needle.
